Welcome to our recently updated first floor Adirondack retreat within four unit Conklin Cottage, centrally located in downtown Saranac Lake, 15 minutes from Lake Placid. This 2 bedroom 1 bathroom unit sleeps 6 and is the perfect home base for any ADK trip.

We are local experts - ask us anything, we are here to ensure your ADK stay is one to remember.
Guest access
Guests will be provided with a code for contactless checkin/checkout prior to arrival. Side entrance with stairs and front entrance without.
Other things to note
Updated ADK retreat centrally located in charming Saranac Lake w/parking, 15 mins from Lake Placid. Primary bedroom has a comfortable queen bed, mounted flat screen TV, and cozy electric fireplace. Adjacent bedroom is railroad style and has bunk beds (bottom is full size) and flat screen TV. The living space in this unit is plentiful. Two couches - one a full size pull out - for ample room relaxing. There’s also a large flatscreen and another electric fireplace. The dining table seats six for meals and board games!

Location, location, location! After a long day on the mountain skiing/boarding, adventuring on cross-country skis, snowmobiling, ice climbing, tubing, snowshoeing or otherwise exploring our winter wonderland you’re conveniently located in the center of town.

Walking distance to everything Saranac Lake has to offer: Lake Flower, coffee shops, bagel/bakery shop, grocery store, farmers market, bars, retail shops, and restaurants. Come see why Saranac Lake was voted “Best Place to Buy a Lake House in 2023” by Travel + Leisure (Oct. 2022)!

This is a first floor unit. Entry without stairs in the front; side door entry requires going up/down stairs. Conklin Cottage is a historic Saranac Lake home with four units.

Convenient and clean

Bruce was great and very available in his communication. The home was spacious and in a very convenient location. We had a great time.

Perfect Adirondack Apartment

This rental is perfect for anyone looking to stay in Saranac Lake. The location couldn’t be better, being within easy walking distance of all the local restaurants and shops. The rooms were immaculate and included all the comforts of home. The property manager was quick to respond to all our inquiries, making the process smooth and hassle-free. Hands down 5 stars.

ADK Adventure

Great Place, such a handy location. Loved having the library 2 doors down for the ADK Research Room. Lots of trails to hike, and the best part of this town, is the people. All were so friendly, helpful, and wonderful sense of humor all over the place. Come and visit to have this small hometown experience. VJC

Saranac Lake trip

Wasn't expecting "train style" (go through one bedroom to get to the next) bedrooms, but they were accurately described on the site and worked out fine. Family enjoyed our time together. Thank you for your hospitality.

Great house to stay at while you go hiking in the surrounding area, we even went to Canada for a day because it’s nearby, very nice!

Perfect Accommodations

The communication with property manager was the best I’ve ever experienced! He went out of his way to ensure that we had accommodations after our son’s college “move in” dates changed. The rental was immaculate and location perfect for what we needed. Saranac Lake has some great restaurants and everything was within walking distance. Will definitely be staying here again!

Short Visit

This property was very homey and had lots of little amenities that made it a little more special! It was walking distance to town for food and shopping. It was very clean!! Communication with the host was EXCELLENT - very prompt and helpful responses. The only thing you should know is that you have to go through 1 bedroom to get to the other, and the bathroom is in the first bedroom. It was fine for us with our son in the second room, but would be an awkward place for 2 couples. We loved our stay here and would come back again for sure! :)

Wonderful !!

This was a wonderful property, located within walking distance of restaurants and shopping. Very clean and cozy, had anything we could have asked for! And the grocery store was also within walking distance! We will definitely stay here again!

Odd layout

Overall we were very happy with the apartment. That said it was awkward to have to go into the kids’ room to get to the bathroom or our own bedroom. Also I would have preferred a lock on the bathroom door as well as AC. The fans provided some relief but some of our stay was quite humid. AC would have been awesome.
