Birch Suite at Colden Lodge is a true gem of an authentic Adirondack camp. This elegantly appointed private 1 Bedroom/1 Bathroom suite is located on the second floor of the the main lodge with your own private entrance, elevated private deck, private hot tub and gorgeous views of the property and lake. Watch the deer and the other wildlife forage, go for a kayak ride on Lake Flower with our free tandem kayaks or paddle boats. Take a short leisurely stroll into town to one of the many restaurants or pubs. Lake Placid is only 9 miles away for more great restaurants and shopping. Birch Suite is the perfect base camp and starting point for your complete Adirondack adventure. We know you will be impressed.

Loved this property! My boyfriend and I stayed a night with our dog, owner was very friendly and beautiful location. Would highly recommend!!

One of the owners of the property greeted us for check in. He showed us how to work the hot tub, gas powered fire place, convection oven, as well as a tour of the entire apartment that is beautifully furnished. You can tell from the pictures that it is a rustic Adirondack decor but the details in person are even more beautiful. All done by the owners. Both were very friendly and very accommodating! Very clean and very comfortable! Would definitely stay there again!

Self care vacation

This place was a dream. So clean and cozy. It was close to town but far enough away to feel like I was actually away. The hot tub was an incredible way to start and end the day. I will definitely be back!

Saranac Lake Getaway

This place was great. Super clean, nice location, and great host. Such a cozy and welcoming little place to stay. Would definitely recommend and will definitely try and book with this host again.

A Winter Wonderland!

An absolutely beautiful and serene setting. The rental was clean and had all the conveniences you could want. The hot tub was a great place to unwind at the end of the day. Will definitely be back again.

Another Perfect Stay

Our second stay here. We were in a cabin the last time and decided to try out the apartment in the lodge this time. They did a wonderful job renovating this and we had every amenity. They had an awesome drip coffee maker, filters provided, just bring your grounds. Walter met us upon arrival and, as always, is a great wealth of knowledge for activities, restaurants, etc. Saranac Lake is one of our favorite places and his property is in the best location. We’ll be back!

Magical Adirondack Getaway

We had a phenomenal time staying on lake flower. The suite was super cozy, the area was beautiful and the view incredible. The hosts couldn't have been nicer. Would recommend this suite to anyone looking to have an amazing stay in Saranac Lake. Even our dog gave it two paws up!

Great Getaway!!

We were greeted by Bobby when we pulled in and he helped us carry our things into the cabin. He showed us around the place and made sure we had everything we needed. We were visiting our daughter and her family who live right up the road a bit. We will absolutely be making contact to stay in the future. Very warm and cozy!! Wonderful experience. Wonderful getaway.

Super Cute Birch Suit

The property manger was very friendly and helpful. We stayed for Ironman weekend and he gave great recommendations for restaurants based off my race prep needs. The decor was just adorable and comfy, plus the hot tub was the cherry on the top for relaxing before and after the race.

Perfect

Lovely suite. Everything new and very clean. Enjoyed using the hot tub after our hikes. Location is perfect - close to the hikes we were interested in (Saranac 6) and close to several restaurants. Beautiful property! The owners residence is being refurbished so the front looks like it's under construction but it didn't impact the suite or us in any way. Had a short tour of the owner's residence - gorgeous but a lot left to do. Looking forward to coming back when it's done and finishing the rest of the Saranac 6.

just ok for our purpose

there was no mention of the construction going on to the entire building - our little unit and the manager's unit were the only ones livable. Lake front was true but overrated for April and our purpose of observing the solar eclipse. It was unsuitable for observing the eclipse. Bobby, the manager (owner?) was mostly unavailable by phone for an urgent question though very accommodating when we did speak. Email or phone provided disappointing and slow methods of communication.

Birthday Getaway

My husband and I had a wonderful stay. We were greeted by Walter. The place is decorated beautifully. Very artsy decor. Loved everything. Comfortable bed and nice gas fireplace that warmed up the room very quickly. I used the hot tub twice. It was so clean and relaxing. We might look into renting a lower cabin some day.

Weekend Getaway

This is a perfect location for a getaway weekend. Check in process was seamless and Walter went the extra mile sharing dinner recommendations and the history of the property, photographs and building details. You have your own private deck and hot tub which was absolutely amazing. The property is tastefully decorated with Adirondack decor and the bed is very comfortable. Downtown Saranac Lake is within walking distance. Highly recommend!

Cozy stay

Great little getaway close to Lake Placid. Was the perfect place to lay low and hide out. Only downside was the walls/ceiling are very thin you can hear everything.
