Lakeside Retreat with fantastic views

Come relax at the end of the road in our historic lake front home. Built in 1958 it is one of the first homes on the lake. Recent updates make it a comfortable stay for 2-3 couples or a family to enjoy fantastic views, play on the lake, or just relax on a large deck. We also have a patio with a fire pit and wood provided. Swans in the spring and fall, ducks all summer, eagles perch in the trees in the front yard. We have kayaks, paddle boats, a rowboat, canoe and a large dock, for your use, to enjoy the lake. We provide fishing gear for summer and winter. The home is located between Palmer and Wasilla, about 45 minutes from Anchorage airport. Come enjoy your private, waterfront home while you visit Alaska.

This place was amazing! It had great views of the lake in the living room and in other rooms. There were kayaks, a row boat and fishing equipment we could use. It really had everything we needed and more. The "extras" like breakfast treats and s'more stuff was unexpected and made us feel at home. Would stay there again!

Fantastic views, many amenities including kayaks, fishing gear, clean, comfortable home. Close proximity to many excursions. We really enjoyed our stay at the lakefront VRBO.

This was the best property I’ve ever stayed at. The cleanest, most well stocked. Absolutely perfect location for all the things we did while in the area. My kids loved the pedal boats. The views were immaculate. 10 out of 10.

Wow! That was our first impression of this place, and it was also our lasting one.You truly get the best of both worlds here. If you want to escape, you have the peace and solitude of the lake, spectacular views of the mountains and glaciers, bald eagles roosting in the trees right outside the living room, and fantastic fishing. Yet you’re still close enough to town to enjoy restaurants, shopping, and that wonderful sense of the local Alaskan community.Everything you need to enjoy the lake is right there—fishing rods, life jackets, canoes, pedal boats, and a rowing boat. There is also one very large trout that managed to outsmart me for the entire stay!Staying here feels less like renting an accommodation and more like being welcomed into a small, family-run Alaskan resort. Stan and Brenda are absolutely fabulous hosts and make the experience even more special.During our stay, we took an overnight trip to Denali to experience the magic of the national park, but you certainly don't have to travel far to find incredible scenery and outdoor adventures. Hatcher Pass, the Gold Mine Trail, glaciers, beautiful walks, wildlife, and some of Alaska's most spectacular landscapes are all within easy reach.If you are looking for somewhere special to stay in Alaska, don't waste your time looking anywhere else. Stay here.We absolutely loved it and would return in a heartbeat.

Wonderful lakeside retreat

Wow! We had an amazing time! This property was everything it was promised to be. Beautiful, homey, convenient to services, with amzing lakeside access. Our kids spent hours playing on and in the water.

PERFECT LOCATION

This house was everything we wanted. Great location right on the water. Comfortable beds. All the toys the owner provided to use on the lake was perfect. Will definitely stay here again

The Lakehouse we rented was so amazing!! Everything was great. The views were unbelievable . The house was spotless and there was nothing we needed. They had everything. We met the owners and they gave us fresh salmon that they had caught that morning. I can’t say enough great things about our stay!

Amazing!!!

The listing does not do this place justice! Close to everything and the view is spectacular. The hosts are super accommodating, easy to get ahold of, and go above and beyond with what they provide. Would 100% stay here again!!!

Family vacation

We had a wonderful stay. Stan and Brenda were amazing. We had our emails off but saw they messaged several times to make sure everything was good. They left us eggs from their chickens, which we really enjoyed. The house had everything we needed. We enjoyed the canoe and paddle boats. They provided all that we needed to fish on the lake, which was great. You could tell a lot of love is put into the house. Wish we would've stayed here longer!!

Fabulous!!!!!

We Brought my 92 yr old mom visiting from Arizona. This place is AMAZING. Stunning views. Wraparound deck for all day sun. Use of many kinds of boats. Living room with panoramic views. Right on the water. Worth every penny. Clean. Even has an old working dial phone on the wall. Will be back.

Lakeside property

The property was fun for the family being able to utilize the paddle boats as well as Kayaks from the Dock. Kids enjoyed the water either fishing or just fun. The house was nice and clean, and the host made us feel right at home! Would highly recommend staying here as my Family enjoyed it with many things to do without having to drive to far. Little over an hour to rent utvs to drive into the beautiful scenery or about three and a half hours to Denali park entrance. Also had life jackets, fishing poles and bait to use. Thanks!
