Mahalo Leslie for your review and comments. When the offices are closed, be sure to use the After-Hours Emergency phone number that can be found in the guest directory, inside the unit. We would have come out right away to assist. We are sorry that you could not reach us, but glad that our team resolved the smoke detector first thing in the morning for you. We hope to host you again soon. Aloha.

We always appreciate our guests feedback and the opportunity to improve our service offering. We acknowledge and apologize for the quality of the paper products. Since the pandemic, paper products have been in limited supply. We have several sources but were subject to the ration and could only get a case at a time. We had to accept what was available. Under normal circumstances, we use the Costco brands which are always consistent in quality. The water heater in this one bedroom property is a standard 38 gallon system. It will likely be a challenge to get a full tub of very hot water particularly if doing so while the washer or dish washer is running but it is quite adequate under normal circumstances. We do acknowledge that the knives were in need of sharpening. We provide a hand held sharpener in the utensil drawer. We regret our guest did not notice it. The AC system operates on a thermostat and it will cycle on and off as needed to keep the temperature at the desired setting. This is to be expected and until now not an issue. We do hope this information is helpful to our future guests.
