A quiet place to retreat in the Pristine, Wild, Pecos forest by the River.
Perfect for families, romantic couples, artists or the creative souls.
Sleep with the sound of the river. Private fly fishing at your front door (no need for a fishing license). Fish at the Monastery lake or tour Battlefield Monument close by.
Hike in the beautiful Santa Fe National forest / discover the nearby caves and petroglyphs. All of this plus only 10 minutes from the small town of Pecos and 25 minutes to Santa Fe.There is nothing more valuable than time away form our reality. At this beautiful large property on the Pecos river you will have privacy and a feeling of Inner Peace. The large porch has a view of apple trees inspiring you to stay a while. You can meander to the fishing deck on the water to feel the river cleansing your soul. In the evening the hot tub under the stars brings out the tranquility of nature,Recently added a game room with a pool table and dart board to entertain you at night. You can chose to sit on the deck and have a fire or you go by the river and enjoy the fire pit the nights are as amazing as the days.

This property was great for quality family time. There were plenty of games to play, cooking was easy, and the soft sound of the river was very relaxing. We also caught fish at Monastery Lake! Check in and out couldn’t have been easier. We wiuld definitely stay here again.

The house and setting were fantastic! Timmi and Elmo are very friendly and so accommodating. My family and I enjoyed every minute of our stay, and we would definitely love to come back!

Wonderful property and the river frontage is even more beautiful than the photos. You can hear the water from the front porch. The kitchen is well stocked with all the amenities needed for cooking and includes extras e.g. coffee grinder. Excellent communication with the host throughout the process. Plan to return.

What an amazing place! Very nice, everything upgraded and beautiful while still being off the beaten path. The hot tub was a lifesaver after hiking, and the riverfront patio was a romantic place for wine and snacks. I also appreciate the easy checkout requirements. Thanks for offering your space to us!

I am so happy you enjoyed the Pecos retreat. The muddy river from all the rain defiantly makes fishing a challenge. ext time check out the Monastery lake just down the hill we always have luck there. Thank you for spreading the word about the Pecos Retreat.

Great location with extremely nice accommodations. Hot tube was great. Lots of extra perks at this location. Host provided firewood. Great outdoor kitchen. Wonderful patio to enjoy the day and listen to the river. The new addition will be awesome once it is 100% complete. One of our favorite VRBO's we have ever visited.

We really enjoyed our stay. The hummingbirds were extremely entertaining. My husband likes to feed the birds, so he made sure the feeders didn’t go empty.Best access to the river/water we have had in the five years we have been renting homes on the Pecos. There are a few homes past this one on La Pasada. We decided that they were weekend homes, and since we stayed there during the week, we had the whole place to ourselves. Kitchen was fantastic. Water pressure was more than adequate and the best feature of the whole place was the porch, where we sat and watch the hummingbirds do their thing.Access to Lake Monastery and Santa Fe was great. Plan to rebook for next August. Was nice to get away from the Texas heat for a few days.

This was our 3rd Labor Day weekend at this wonderful property! I cannot say enough good things about this place. Timmi and Elmo do an outstanding job of providing everything you could possibly need during your stay. We absolutely cannot wait to return again. We may just have to visit more than once next year!

Wonderful!

Had another wonderful relaxing time at the Pecos River Retreat. Hosts are wonderful, and the property was beautiful and well stocked as usual. This was our second visit here, and now is our go to when looking to unplug and relax.

30th birthday getaway!

Such a beautiful property, couldn't believe the peace and tranquility it brought me for my 30th birthday celebration. It was exactly what I needed! I can't wait for our next getaway, we are definitely coming back.

Beautiful getaway

This was our second time staying at the Pecos River Retreat, and it was just as magical as the first visit. Our generous host Timmi provided everything we could have asked for and more! The weather was perfect for enjoying hiking, fishing, and just soaking up the peace and quiet. Hope we can come back soon!

Great river retreat!

We had an awesome weekend stay at the Pecos river cabin. Tammi was super easy to communicate with, left us clear instructions and was available to answer any questions we had. The home is as listed- it had everything we needed for our stay! Thank you for sharing your cabin with us!

Pleasure on Pecos River

This property with the Pecos River in the front yard is at a beautiful and very peaceful location. The front porch with table and comfortable chairs was perfect for gathering of family, grilling, and watching the humming birds. The hosts were great and very prompt in communicating. Accommodated 5 easily and loved the hot tub. Highly recommend it!

Family time

A fantastic place for out 1 and 4 year old. The street is blocked off which creates privacy for us and other neighbors on street. Everyone is very friendly! The owner Timmi even left a hand written note. The most well stocked vacation rental home I have ever been in. Highly recommend!

July 4 Week Trip

We had a very comfortable stay during the week of July 4. Two adults and our dog. The house is nestled in a cool canyon next to the Pecos River. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen was very up to date and well-equipped. And the front porch was perfect for grilling in the outdoor kitchen, dining outside on the covered porch, and sitting next to the gas fire pit. Very relaxing. We wanted for nothing!

Quaint get get away

This property is beautiful. The pictures do not do it justice. We are a family of 3, with 2 dogs. Our daughter is soon to be 11. We had everything we needed including many indoor and outdoor games which kept out daughter entertained and way from electronics! We were able to fish, grill, have s'mores, play and just enjoy eachother. Our host has everything we could have ever needed. So we over packed a bit. We will definitely be back!

Heaven on Earth

We had the most relaxing stay at the Pecos River Retreat. The house is absolutely beautiful nestled in the valley right beside the river. It feels like you are the only people around for miles - so private and quiet. The kitchen is so well equipped, with every possible utensil and appliance you could ever need. The zen garden and hot tub were so lovingly cared for, really such a peaceful experience. And the hummingbirds! It was so amazing to be able to get so close to them while they visited the many feeders. Timmi was the kindest and most generous host, with great activity suggestions, and a wealth of guide books we enjoyed using during our stay. I cannot wait to come back - hands down the best vacation rental we have ever stayed in!
