Our stay at the Postman Cottage was perfect! The location is ideal for exploring downtown Douglas - everything is within easy walking distance. The cottage itself is so beautifully decorated and so cozy that we didn’t mind spending a rainy afternoon indoors. Communication with Renee was easy and she was very understanding when we forgot about the time difference between Illinois and Michigan. We loved that she met us at the cottage with baked goods and a sweet birthday gift card for me to the local coffee house. We stayed three days and wished we were staying at least 3 more. We can’t wait to return.

This home is beautifully and comfortably furnished. The host includes many nice touches. Examples include a well-equipped kitchen, luxury bath products, local information, and games. One question came up, and the response was immediate. Perfection.

Beautiful home and property, ideally located, quiet and peaceful, extremely clean. A respite to which we will return! Lovely restaurants and a wonderful coffee shop are a 2-3 minute walk (downtown Douglas), adding to the ease of this location. Renee is the most fabulous host and truly anticipated every need. She also gifted delicious local treats and a bottle of wine as a welcome gift. Thank you, Renee!

The perfect little spot in Douglas. Very cozy cottage with wonderful amenities. Reneé was a very lovely host and made the stay very warm and welcoming. Would highly recommend if looking for a cozy place to stay in Douglas.

This was one of our favorite VRBO rentals to date!We were lucky enough to meet our hosts when we arrived, and they were so kind and thoughtful. They made us feel welcome right away, almost like friends coming to stay. That same warmth was in every part of the home. From the beautiful decor to all the little things they’d thought to provide, you could tell how much they cared about their guests having a wonderful time and needing for nothing.The house was BEAUTIFUL! As lovely as it looks in the photos, it’s even more spacious and beautiful in person. We spent our days hiking and biking around Douglas and Saugatuck, and we were in awe the whole time. The beaches, parks, sunsets, restaurants, and incredibly kind locals made the trip feel magical. Then we’d return to relax on the beautiful screened-in porch.It was painful to leave. A HUGE thank you to our thoughtful hosts for such a wonderful stay!

What an amazing cottage. Renee greeted me upon check-in and walked me through all the details. There was delicious Blueberry Bread waiting for me for Breakfast. It was so relaxing I didn’t want to leave. The cottage was immaculate and so beautifully decorated. I stay in Douglas quite a bit and this is one of the best. Thank You!

The Postcard Cottage is an adorable little cottage in a great location in Douglas, MI. We were able to walk to numerous shops and restaurants in town and take walks around the cute town. The cottage itself is bright and super clean. The kitchen has everything you need and there is a screened porch right off the kitchen where we spent most of our time relaxing and enjoying coffee in the morning. The entire house is decorated with fun original art and a blend of antiques. The host, Renee, is wonderful. She met us at the cottage when we checked in to show us around and explain how everything works. And she left us with a delicious fresh baked blueberry bread! She communicated every time we asked with recommendations of places to visit and restaurants in the area. Even if we needed to get a reservation or not at certain restaurants. She is great!

Such a perfect stay! Walking distance to everything in Douglas and an easy drive to Saugatuck. The house was impeccably clean. It was stocked with everything you'd need for a getaway. We liked all the brochures available for things to do and places to go around town. Appreciated meeting the host & having her show us around the house when we arrived.

Lovely, cozy place, perfect to re-wind and re-set ourselves. Great location, walking distance to excellent restaurants and a short drive to Saugatuck. This was a return trip for us and we'll most likely do it again!

We had a fantastic stay at Renee’s, she was very communicative and the property was great for our young family. Renee was also on hand to help when we had a medical emergency toward the end of our stay which was really appreciated!

This home is something special, reflecting the love and care the owners have poured into this space. Homelike and comfortable from every aspect. The kitchen was immaculate and fully equipped with every imaginable item one could want. The quality and condition of everything in the kitchen was the best we’ve seen in a rental. Likewise for the entire home. Every detail was perfect and we truly appreciated the original artwork throughout! The owner was fun to visit with, and absolutely went above and beyond to ensure our stay was a comfortable and special respite! Walking distance to Douglas restaurants, galleries, and coffee shop was an added benefit. Would love to stay here again!

The host was so nice and helpful. She gave us some great recommendations. The house was a short walk from some yummy, unique places to eat and the water. The house was very clean, comfortable, and had EVERYTHING we needed! Would DEFINITELY stay there again!

Great host. Great house. Great location.

Renee has created a real gem in the heart of Douglas-Saugatuck. With so many fun and interesting places to explore in the area, the cottage made for the perfect basecamp. Nice amenities and extras were the cherry on top. Would stay again.

Great cottage!

This lovely cottage exceeded our expectations! The host gave us a brief tour with recommendations in the area.It is very nicely furnished with incredible attention to detail.Everything you can imagine is provided and while we are older, little kids would love it too.We cant imagine a nicer place to stay!

Fantastic House and Location

Second time at the postcard cottage. Its the best house. You feel at home and cant beat the location. Rene is the best host and always makes us feel welcome
