Excellent communication with the host - Amy's communication from start to finish was the best we've experienced on VRBO. She was very thorough with check-in/check-out instructions, provided suggestions about things to do and places to eat in the area, and was very timely with answering questions. The house was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. Would definitely stay here again in the future!

Clean and tidy. Very good for pets. The neighborhood is still being developed so walking to things isn't great. But otherwise great place to stay

We had a great time staying at Samoa Beach in Eureka. This 2 bedroom house was the perfect size for our small family. We liked the un-crowded beach and were able to quickly drive to whatever we needed in Eureka and Arcata. The proximity to the mountains and trails can’t be beat either!

Floors are uneven because the property is built on sand a disclaimer of the construction noise would have kept us from renting this property we spent three days having the entire house be shaken by construction work.

Great place to stay had good vibes and lots to do in the area. Especially being so close to the beach at night to be able to watch a sunset. Check in was easy ane the host was amazing with trying to help in any way possible. Cooked a whole lasagna which didnt disappoint thank to my wife. Thank you again had an amazing time.

Base camp to adventure

We loved the beach access, and the house was clean and cozy. The property manager provided helpful information that we utilized to help plan some of our excursions. It's a great base camp if you are interested in exploring the surrounding areas.

Cute cottage by the bay

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this beautiful cottage. Comfy, cozy and beautifully decorated. Loved the wood pellet stove to warm up at night. Thank you for sharing this sweet home!

Loved this little house

I loved our stay in this house. The natural light was so nice, and the sunrises from the back deck were beautiful. It is only minutes from an amazing beach. The neighborhood is a little up-and-coming, but everyone was super nice and friendly. It was also very, very clean. Would definitely stay again.

Peaceful

It was a great big space for our little family. It was close enough to the city (eureka and arcata) to get food and explore. Even the beach is 3 minute drive. There was a tsunami warning and the host was was able to give instructions but assuring us we were safe being the expert of the area. Evening checking in the day after.

Quiet spot, yet close to many experiences

This small historic house has been remodeled nicely. It does not appear to be a family home, but so far a rental only, which makes it free of clutter. The furnishings are well chosen, (except the green sofa which looks pretty, but is lacking padding). Nice dishware and cooking implements. Did not try the new pellet stove as the wall heaters were sufficient. Had great meals at Brick and Fire, Lost Coast Brewery restaurant, The Grind, and 3 branches of Ramone bakery! The Samoa beaches are easy to access, lightly populated, and clean. Would definitely come again!

The house is a cute little cottage type house that is plenty big enough for 4 people. It was clean and well stocked with most everything a traveler would need. I did expect the house to be a little closer to the ocean, but it was not a far walk to get to the beach. The balcony had a partial view of the bay, but it also had a view of several dilapidated buildings that were mostly just eyesores as well. That is not the fault of the homeowners, just don't expect much in the way of views from this house. Overall a very nice stay though.

We enjoyed it, pretty centrally located for us. The unit is well equipped.Major street demolition made being there during the morning a little difficult, they started at 7:30. (Luck of the draw). Neighborhood a little sketchy, but not dangerous, wouldn’t send my wife to walk the dog at night though.

Quaint turn of the century wood mill community in the sand dunes west of Eureka. The house was very nicely updated, super comfortable and great view of Humboldt Bay.
