This cozy cottage is the perfect retreat for travelers! Amenities of the cottage include a full kitchen with a Keurig coffee machine and wine bar, a full bath with walk-in shower, king beds, smart TV, and a private patio with ample outdoor seating, plus an arbor swing! Located in the heart of Fredericksburg, the peace and quiet afforded to guests at this property are unmatched. Spend the day on the town, then return to the chalet in the evening and enjoy the full kitchen and wine bar, perfect for a glass (or two!) in the spacious backyard. Quiet, charming, and convenient, all the necessities for a romantic getaway.

PLEASE NOTE: The owner lives onsite. There are no shared spaces.

Due to the Hill Country location of our rentals, you may encounter wildlife (Snakes, Deer, Raccoons, Squirrels, Possum, Birds (including Hawks), ETC). Please be aware of your surroundings, take caution while driving at night, and supervise your children at all times while they are outdoors. In addition, all properties do utilize pest control services on a regular basis BUT this does not guarantee pests or bugs will not be visible. This includes but is not limited to: ants, snakes, spiders, scorpions, beetles/roaches/water-bugs, mice, or flies.

- Quiet Time is from 10:00 pm to 7:00 am, per City Ordinance
- If we are called due to complaints violating Quiet Time:
1st Offense will result in a $250 fine.
2nd Offense will result in a $500 fine.
If police are called, you are responsible for any fines or fees issued with the citation or warning. If police are called there will be a $500 fine, even if no citation is issued.

Birthday Get Away

Beautiful property in a very quiet neighborhood. Our room was perfect!! The decor was lovely and it was very clean. Our hostess was wonderful! Friendly and so helpful to us.So glad we chose the Artist Chalet.

WONDERFUL chalet!!

This quaint chalet guest house was stunning. I didn’t really look at the pictures when I booked it, and I’m pretty happy I didn’t, as this was a VERY pleasant surprise. Clean, decorated for Christmas, well-kept. The owner was sweet. The location was quiet, yet conveniently located. Absolutely enjoyed our stay, and we were sad to go.

I never got to come to the cottage. It turned out to be a horrible weekend. First my car kept giving me a "check engine light" so had to have that fixed. Then a cousin passed away and we had to attend his funeral out of town. My plans to have a relaxed weekend, attend a Christmas party - all ended up put aside. Thank you anyway -

Fredericksburg Getaway

My wife and I throughly enjoyed our stay at the Artist Chalet. It was extremely clean, neat with exquisite decor. It was also well stocked with drinks and snacks. Very nice sitting area in the front, which we enjoyed, since we had perfect weather. We would definitely stay at this location again and highly recommend if you want a quaint getaway.

Artist Chalet is such a cozy comfortable beauty! My husband was singing praises for the shower head/water pressure (he is a plumber, wink wink). From the snacks to the bottled water, snugly throws, comfortable bed and pillows, we felt so at home. Also, the home decorations make it feel like you're at home, but on vacation too. The neighborhood is quiet yet not too far from being in the middle of the action. I would definitely want to stay at Artist Chalet again when I visit Fredericksburg.

Beautiful little chalet in a residential area. The host came out to ensure we were able to get inside with the e-lock. Very quiet and safe. Looked new and very clean. Origami tissue and towels gave it a quaint touch. Would definitely recommend!!

Lovely cottage

Relaxing Stay

We came to Texas from Georgia for the Texas/Georgia football game. We didn't want to stay in the hustle and bustle of the big city so this location was perfect for us. The chalet was bigger than I thought it would be and was very comfortable. The shower was a tad small but still more than adequate for a person to bathe. I liked being out of the downtown area of Fredericksburg but still close enough to all of the shops and restaurants. The chalet was immaculate, and I would love to come back one day.

Peaceful retreat

We stayed in this chalet for our Anniversary weekend. It was the sweetest place, beautifully decorated with all the comforts of home you may need. Plenty of snacks and drinks too. Owner is lovely and just made sure we got in ok.

Anniversary Get Away

A nice clean, quiet cottage. Just fit the bill for what we were expecting. Close to the Main Street action but far enough to be able to relax in peace. Wife and I had an enjoyable stay and would stay again if the opportunity arises. A+

Simply the best

This place was the best! It was absolutely perfect for a get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. After a long day of shopping and wine sipping, it was wonderful place to retreat back to for relaxation and recuperation. Very comfortable bed and seating area. Shower was amazing! Will definitely be back.
