About this space
Welcome to The Ivy Rose Tea House in the heart of Ivy, located just 15 minutes to Charlottesville, Crozet and Route 151 (also known as Brewery Trail). This is a unique property located on 3 acres right along Route 250. The wrap around covered deck on 3 sides offer privacy, views and a relaxing place to enjoy a meal outside or morning coffee. This character rich home was built for the guest who wants a cozy experience in the country. Fully equipped kitchen. We would love to welcome you!

The space
We are new to being short term hosts but we used to run a bed and breakfast business a long time ago. My husband built The Ivy Rose Tea Hose as a contractor and we have had many people stay there for years long term. We are now happy to introduce the house for others to stay short term. The property is very private and perched on a hill above 250 and the pastures across the street. We live about 300 meters away so are on hand but would like to ensure your privacy and a pleasant stay. The kitchen is fully equipped. Towels, linens, bathroom toiletries, etc... everything is provided for a comfortable stay. Just bring you, your loved ones and your bags!

Guest access
The entire yard around The Ivy Rose Tea House is yours to use and roam. It has it's own private driveway to come and go as you please. Please do not drive past the house on the driveway as that connects to our personal property.

Other things to note*
*The railroad tracks are located right by the property. The train comes thru sometimes during the day and sometimes during the night. We love the train but it may not suite every guest. Please make sure you are okay with hearing a train come by the house before booking!

Toddler crib and high chair provided. Please bring your own crib sheet.

Wonderful and lovely vacation home! I wish we could of stay longer. Very very clean and comfortable. The only somewhat critic is that its beside a very busy road and we can hear the cars driving. It is still very private and peaceful with the trees. Loved the camp fire and listening to the cicidas at night! I highly recommend and would stay there again if visiting Virginia.

The Ivy Rose Tea House was a delight. Very clean, well appointed, fun space. Four of us stayed there and had a great weekend. I definitely would come to the Ivy Rose Tea House again. And the host were great. Just down the road from The Barn Swallow, which is also worth a visit!

Charming cottages (both the Tea House & Ivy Rose) on a lovely property with great location. Mary is a kind and accommodating host! The cottages are unique & rich with character. Access to the Tea House does involve a handful of gracefully landscaped steps down to it’s private outdoor porches. A great spot for coffee in the morning! Will return.

Perfect Cabin Retreat

Perfect location for winery, golf, dining and shopping in the Crozet and Charlottesville area. I would definitely recommend and consider staying here again.

Fantastic getaway with our kids (10 and 6). The house was so cozy and felt like such a home. Well equipped and hosts were so lovely! We enjoyed walking around Charlottesville, doing hikes and sitting by the fire and reading! Beds were very comfortable and we can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend! An amazing escape from busy life!

We enjoyed this place immensely. Location was convenient to all wineries, great dining, horseback riding, and hiking. We will be back.

Perfect little spot

This place was clean, quiet ( besides the occasional train which we personally enjoyed) and the hosts went above and beyond to accommodate us. We would stay here again!

We have lived in Charlottesville for over 40 years and raised our family here. I am a florist and a potter. We own and operate The Barnswallow Artisan gallery on our property. Please come shop at it during your stay. My husband, Byron is a carpenter and built all of the homes on our 7 acres. We live just down the driveway a little further so we are on hand should our guests need us. We look forward to sharing our little slice of heaven with visitors.
