Hometract Cottage is a historic one bedroom home (NRHP, circa 1800) centrally located 15 minutes or less from downtown Charlottesville, UVA, Crozet, Monticello, wineries and more. The cottage features king size bed, ensuite bath, fully stocked kitchen, living/workspace with comfortable sleeper sofa, mature landscaping for privacy, and covered front porch. Hometract is a quiet 3-acre property with terraced garden views. Visit our chicken coop, relax in the hammock, or walk to the garden shop or Duner's restaurant.

Hometract is located in historic Ivy, a rural area characterized by mature forests and rolling hills. We have the privacy of a rural area with few neighbors but also easy access to I-64 & Rt. 250 putting Crozet, Ivy, Charlottesville, Monticello, Keswick, and more all within easy reach. We are walkable to the Ivy Corner Garden and Gift Shop, local favorite Duner's Restaurant, and the Wine & Country gift shop. Boars Head Resort is only 5 minutes down the road with its golf course, restaurants, spa, and music and events. The Foxfield Races are only 10 minutes away.

Road cyclists can enjoy the popular Dick Woods Taylor Gap route passing right past Hometract's entrance.

Enjoy the best spirits that Charlottesville has to offer with Ragged Branch Distillery a few minutes away, and Potters Craft Cider, Starr Brewery, and more than a dozen wineries all within 15 minutes.

We loved staying at this cute, historic home; the cool decorations and cozy atmosphere was great. Everything was as listed in the description (although would have liked a photo of the outside of the home beforehand to make sure we were at the right place).

The Home Tract cottage is very comfortable, very clean and very cozy. Comfortable bed, a lot of nice personal touches, a lovely setting and close to Charlottesville. I highly recommend it!

This is a delightful and very well appointed accommodation. We loved the location, halfway between Crozet and Charlottesville, which was perfectly convenient for graduation activities and events. Much to my husband’s delight, the welcome gift included chocolate!Absolutely everything we needed for six nights was at the cottage, easy parking and a serene and peaceful retreat after the craziness of graduation. This will definitely be our new “go to” accommodation when we visit our daughter and family in Crozet. Thank you to the proprietors for providing a lovely retreat.Cheers!

A wonderfully charming cottage with all the comforts of home. On a National historical site registry property, the nostalgic centuries old wood fragrance, combined with modern amenities, and an extremely comfortable king bed. The perfectly romantic hideaway to celebrate our anniversary. Not quite as secluded as we expected, but certainly private enough and very respectful owners that live in the main house.

The cottage was absolutely adorable, and the grounds are a country sanctuary. The location is centrally situated with easy access to Charlottesville, Monticello, and Crozet, as well as major highways. The owners are especially friendly and helpful.

Wonderful Stay!!

This charming cottage was absolutely perfect for a short stay away!!! Wish we could have stayed longer!!! We loved the history of the property. It had all the comforts of home and we felt relaxed as soon as we walked in!! Definitely would stay here again!

Home Tract is a quiet 3-acre property with terraced garden views.

Qué distingue a esta propiedad

Hometract Cottage is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is believed to be one of the oldest structures in Ivy, built around 1800. The cottage may have served as general store for travelers on the historic Three Notch'd Road. Originally a single room on a fieldstone basement, the cottage was expanded last century to include a bedroom and ensuite bathroom. The door is the original reinforced panel door, believed to have been installed to secure the products in the General Store. Most windows are original with the waves and bubbles that characterize century old glass.
