Amazing stay in Custer

This apartment was just as pictured! So clean and in a great location. Grocery store across the street and walking distance from all the restaurants in downtown. Close to all the attractions in Custer State Park and close to Badlands. Great response from hosts as well. 10/10 recommend!

Cute Studio Apartment

We really enjoyed staying in The Rambler in Custer, South Dakota. It’s a cute little place and had plenty of room for the two of us. It’s right in downtown, so we could walk to restaurants and shops. The grocery store was right across the street. There were deer around the area. It was very comfortable and it was so nice having a washer and dryer right at hand.

The Rambler was the perfect stop for my husband and me during our trip! Sarah was the perfect hostess. She communicated quickly and efficiently and was SO helpful. The property was clean and well-stocked. Water pressure was great. Towels were clean and fluffy. I find with a lot of rental properties, the towels are really thin and/or old, usually smell funny, and so I travel with my own. I didn't have to worry about that here! The bedding was also very clean and just the right fit for the season. The Rambler is so close to downtown Custer! We were able to walk to the grocery store to stock up, walk to dinner in the evening, and feel safe while doing so. Fantastic experience and would definitely recommend this property to anyone visiting the area.

Cute!

What a perfect air b&b for a couple!! Decorations and furnishings were on point! The bed was comfortable and having a washer/dryer was an added bonus! Close to all amenities. We enjoyed walking to restaurants and shopping. Great home base after our adventures in the black hills. We would recommend having a box fan available for guests and extra toilet paper. There were 4 half used rolls that didnt get us through our week. We were perplexed at half rolls. Anyways, we had to buy our own. Other than that, we would stay here again. Thank you Sarah and family!

Wonderful place to stay

This place is one of the best places we stayed. Clean, close to shopping and restaurants, and Custer State Park! The owners are very helpful and easy to work with. Our stay was superb!

Our stay in Custer

We have a wonderful appreciation of Custer and part of that was where we stayed. The place was very clean. The only part that I didn’t care for was the parking it was a little strange and of course it is on the main street so the noise factor could be an issue. But it was a perfect place for my husband and I.

The Perfect Home Base for Exploring the Black Hills

We absolutely loved our stay at the Custer Rambler! The location couldn’t have been better, right on the main street in Custer, making it easy to walk to restaurants, shops, and the grocery store directly across the street. The space is decorated with fun Johnny Cash-themed décor that gives it so much personality. Everything was spotless when we arrived, and both the bed and the couch were incredibly comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed, and the host was excellent with communication. Check-in and check-out were both simple. One thing future guests should know is that the kitchenette includes a microwave, coffee maker, toaster, small refrigerator, and electric griddle, but there isn’t an oven or cooktop. That was perfect for us since we weren’t planning to cook full meals, but it’s helpful to know ahead of time. We were initially a little concerned about parking, but it ended up being just a few steps away and was very convenient. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend the Custer Rambler to anyone visiting the Black Hills!

The Rambler

This was a great location in Custer, it was really easy to get to everything in the area. So many great adventures, we really had a great time.

Johnny Cash "Rambler" on Main - great accommodations!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Johnny Cash "Rambler" on Main. The accommodations were great - it had everything we needed for our 3 night stay. The location was great - you're right on the main street so we could walk everywhere. We were also minutes away from Custer State Park. We would definitely book there again!

Wonderful place and location

We enjoyed three nights and the place and location were the best for access to Rushmore, Custer, crazy hirse and beyond - the owner was very very responsive and helpful with any questions or needs. Would definitely stay here again if in the area

Our stay here was so comfortable and had such a homey feeling and had everything we needed and more! Close to downtown was great and grocery store across the street! Sarah one of our hosts was so friendly and and so nice to deal with! We highly recommend this place to stay!

Great Place!

We really enjoyed staying at the Custer rambler. It is centrally located to all the Black Hills attractions. We loved how close it was to restaurants, grocery stores, and gas stations. We’ll be back!

Great time!

We had a wonderful time at Sarah’s place in Custer, SD. It was walking distance to everything and we really enjoyed the trails on the mountain nearby, as well and used the park pass that was provided - what a great idea! Loved our stay and would stay again!

Black hills

Wonderful!!

The apartment was very clean and decorated so cute!! Loved the Johnny Cash theme and all the little extra details that made this apartment really nice. The owner was also very easy to work with. Great stay in a cute little town!
