Roberta was a great host! The cabin was clean, cozy, and well stocked. Roberta was very easy to communicate with and always responded quickly when we had any questions. We will definitely book the cabin again if we are ever in the area.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cabin and surrounding property was beautiful and the perfect size for the two of us. Roberta was a great host and was there for us when we had questions. I highly recommend this property.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay at the cabin! Roberta was an amazing hostess, greeting us at check in, and answering any questions we had. The cabin is cozy and felt like home. Breakfast on the front porch is a must!

Lovely stay

Roberta’s cabin was a great place to stay for our short stay in South Dakota. It was in a great location just outside Custer State Park. The cabin was bigger than it looked in the pictures. It was a lovely place to stay.

Our stay at this cabin was great. We loved being so close to Custer State Park. Roberta was a sweetheart. She put out snacks for us for when we arrived, which was much appreciated.

Great Access to the Black Hills

This cabin embodies the spirit of the Black Hills. It is ideally situated for access to all of the best of Custer State Park. We had a wonderful time! .

Will Return!

Convenient location to the sights. Private location and interesting historical decor adds to the experience of the Black Hills. Lots of amenities that make you feel like it's your home too.

An absolutely wonderful stay and lodging for us -- thoroughly enjoyed it. Roberta is a great host. The cabin is wonderful, the setting beautiful, and everything very easy. We will be back.

Peaceful by Stockade Lake

Beautiful property, quiet location (at least before Memorial Day!). Walking distance to Stockade Lake and a beautiful walk in the forest surrounding it. Roberta's place is clean and stocked with thoughtful treats for us boarders. Recommended stay.

Home Away From Home

This cabin is truly a home away from home. Roberta was beyond welcoming and so very kind. This cozy cabin is in the perfect location and allowed us to experience and see so many different things that South Dakota has to offer.

A cabin in the woods

We felt instantly welcomed and at home. This is a fully furnished cabin with all the comforts of home. Charming decor, a little bit Native American and a little bit Country and whole lot cozy.

Great Cabin

We really loved Roberta’s cabin. We wish we had a few more days to explore. Roberta was a fantastic host and greeted us with delicious muffins and food for the morning. That was very thoughtful. Was one of our favorite places to stay so far. Thanks Roberta!

Historic Cabin

We absolutely loved this Cabin! The owner Roberta was just a wonderful women and provided everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Fantastic location at the entrance to Custer State Park . 15-20 minutes to Mount Rushmore and Crazy Horse. We thoroughly enjoy our quick 4-day trip! Thank you Roberta!

Great location

This cabin is the perfect location for visiting Custer, SD and surrounding area. Roberta was a terrific hostess, complete with fresh fruit and blueberry muffins upon our arrival. Although we never needed anything, no doubt she would have been very accessible and responsive to any needs. An added bonus was seeing deer in the yard each morning and evening.

Very Pleased with our Stay

The pictures of the interior of the cabin don’t do it justice. Very charming, clean and comfortable. We were pleasantly surprised at how large the living room was. Large window with a great view of Stockade Lake and surrounding mountains. Frequently saw deer on the property. Would love to come again.

Just about a Perfect Place

Everything was great, except for extremely spotty WiFi and no Dish network. We made due but expected those amenities to be there. The location is great and the cabin looks just as is advertised. I give it a 4.5 out of 5 stars.

Sorry about the spotty WiFi….our server company is in process of installing fiber optics here, so hopefully that will help solve that problem. And our Samsung smart tv has over 100 free channels and guests can use their Netflix, prime tv, etc accounts .
