The Cabin
All our cabins at Ponderosa Place feature vaulted ceilings, hardwood floors and log accents. Kitchens have everything you need to cook except ovens... Stove tops, Fridge, Microwave, Coffee pot, all dishes, pots, pans, utensils are provided. Each cabin has AC units to help you cool down as well as cove heat if you are visiting in the cooler months. All linens and towels are provided along with basic soaps.

Outside Space
Cool off in the shared back yard with gentle log swing and seating area all under our huge willow tree. Or stretch your legs and let the kids burn some energy off in the two shared large front yards! There is a swing set for the kiddos, and 2 firepits for evening enjoyment.

Location, Location, Location!
Located just a few blocks off the main street in Custer you can walk to the grocery store along with shopping and restaurants!

Great place for a family to stay

Great space for a family of 5 to stay- very clean, easy to check in and out and the kids loved the swing set and fire pit areas. Would definitely come back.

Space as described, probably a bit more spacious then expected for this 2 bedroom cabin. In the "city" but was very quiet just a few streets off the main road. Good outdoor spaces! Surprised by the nice hiking trail just a few blocks away (Big Rock Trailhead). Easy drive or just walk a few blocks to the grocery store (Dakotamart).

Perfect spot in Custer!

We only had a brief stay at this cute cabin, but it was perfect for us after a long week of camping. It was clean, check-in was easy and our neighbors were friendly. I always appreciate an easy check-out, too, and this was! The cabin is close to downtown Custer and the rest of the Black Hills offerings, and has great views of the area. We didn’t get a chance to use the fire pit or grills, but really appreciated the option. I would definitely stay here again if and when I’m back in the area.

This is the second time in two years that my adult son and I stayed in this exact unit. The two bedrooms with the living room and kitchen gave us ample room. We spent a lot of time in Custer State Park which is easy to access from this location. The unit was clean and the kitchen had everything we needed. It was great to have a full size refrigerator with a freezer.

The place was very clean. Exactly as listed. Lots of towels and huck to hang which always lack at other places. Awesome view of mountains and fun walk to the DT. Easy check in and was very helpful and responsive when we needed an item.
