The Cabin
All our cabins at Ponderosa Place feature vaulted ceilings, hardwood floors and log accents. Kitchens have everything you need to cook except ovens... Stove tops, Fridge, Microwave, Coffee pot, all dishes, pots, pans, utensils are provided. Each cabin has AC units to help you cool down as well as cove heat if you are visiting in the cooler months. All linens and towels are provided along with basic soaps.

Outside Space
Cool off in the shared back yard with gentle log swing and seating area all under our huge willow tree. Or stretch your legs and let the kids burn some energy off in the two shared large front yards! There is a swing set for the kiddos, and 2 firepits for evening enjoyment.

Location, Location, Location!
Located just a few blocks off the main street in Custer you can walk to the grocery store along with shopping and restaurants!

Quiet area to stay and an easy walk to downtown shopping. Also close to a park and walking trail called Custer Skywalk just off 6th street. The view from the top was spectacular.

Understand that this is a rustic cabin in a small town. Host was outstanding. Even made sure that there were enough packets of fresh coffee for all of our ten days stay. Great location for exploring the Black Hills.

This cabin was very clean, well stocked and had a perfect location in Custer. It was within a walking distance to a grocery store and downtown Custer shops/restaurants and within short driving distance to Custer State Park. The cabin had AC (which was a plus), however, one of the units seemed to struggle cooling the room down in high temperatures. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely book again.

Very clean, plenty of towels and linens. Sleeps six, however, as adults we didn’t love the sleeper couch and futon. Kids would have been fine though! Overall it was a great place to rest our heads on the way to our destination. Very cute!

Nice place to stay after a day of exploring South Dakota. A little small for 6 people, but we basically just needed a place to eat and sleep and we had no issues.

Great Stay. Clean and convenient!

Had a great stay with my family. Beds where all comfortable, place was clean and cabin provided everything we needed, including well stocked kitchen cooking supplies, bedding and even a spare toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner, etc… Checkin and checkout process was easy.
