The view of Lovell's Cove is hard to beat! This is a very sweet little cottage and exactly what we'd hoped it would be for our weekend in Harpswell. This tidy, clean and comfortable cottage, and excellent communication with our host made it so easy. No hassles, no problems and the gorgeous view is tops.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was a great property right on the water. Interior was clean and modern and I love that they use a linen service, so there are no demands that you wash do loads of laundry before you leave and everything is clean. The outside (which let's be honest, is why we chose it) was gorgeous there is a little rocky inlet that my kids played in every day and we found a ton of seaglass and little crabs. One day we even saw a bald eagle sitting on the cliff right outside the window. There are neighbors close by, but still felt reasonably secluded. Love the contactless check in and out. Lovely- highly recommend.

This property is just lovely. As a single traveler, it was more room than I needed, but nonetheless excellent. A small family (up to 3 kids) could easily stay here. It was an amazing trip and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. The area is quiet and offers beautiful views. I needed nothing except a place outside to put my feet up. My best spent was to purchase a camping recliner at Cabela’s and enjoy time outside watching the sunrise, sunset or even at night to watch the stars. I spent hours in my recliner daily whether with coffee or water or wine. There’s nothing more beautiful than seeing so many stars wrap around you while listening to the water/waves. Just amazing and I can’t wait to come back to Maine.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: fantastic as always. My only suggestion (seems this is the forum) is that the grass needs to be mowed more than once. In the numerous times I've rented for 2 weeks, its hard to get it done (its a discussion point every year, once it never got mowed in the 2 weeks, and was long when I arrived). Seems for $5000 it ought to be a twice occurrence, even if the whole property isnt done, but around the Little house. (Maybe even just weed whacked). It gets buggy and old people trip on the longer grass. Otherwise AWESOME STAY!

We had the most incredible family vacation at the little house. Our three toddlers all cried when we had to say goodbye and are already asking to come back. So close to the water you almost feel like you’re floating when you wake up and the sunrise is amazing! The house has everything you need to cook, grill or prep seafood from one of the local markets. The location is ideal, quick zip to bailey or out to harpswell. The town is quaint and mellow but so much beauty and nature to explore. We had the best time and can’t wait to come back!

What a cute cottage!! Perfectly Maine! The cottage is cozy but has room for everything you need! The views from every window are beautiful! But the views from outside are spectacular! There’s a small porch to sit and enjoy a sunrise, cup of coffee or cocktail. There’s a picnic table to enjoy your meals outdoors.The cottage was well appointed, and very clean. The beds are comfortable. Contacting the host was very easy, and they replied quickly to any questions we had.The cottage is a great size for a small family or two couples.Would love to visit again!

Gorgeous Views

We stayed there for 1 week in June and enjoyed every minute of it. Watching the tide come in and roll back out, the Maine lobster traps with their buoys floating on the water, and the beautiful sunrises out the window made for a totally relaxing and rejuvenating vacation. We loved it so much, we will definitely be back. The kitchen is a good size for cooking at home when we wanted to, and there's plenty of restaurants close by that serve up delicious food and everyone is super nice. The outside picnic table is where we spent a lot of time eating meals and just watching the Atlantic. The only sounds you'll hear there are the happy chirping if the birds and the water in the rocks.

The cottage is very clean and well appointed but there were end of season maintenance issues such as a leaky kitchen drain and bathroom faucet. Maine Stay customer service is excellent as always. Iris Eats Maine up the road is a fantastic lunch place.

The house was beautiful, bright, cozy, warm, and the water views were stunning from every window. WOW! The outdoor grill and picnic table lured us out of the house and onto the lawn that seemed to roll into the ocean. We will return... And there is even an awesome puppy in the neighborhood named Derby... The coolest. Loved everything about this experience. We now want to live in Maine! THANK YOU.

I only hesitate to write a review because I want to keep this hidden gem hidden. This was our third year staying in the Harpswell area and our favorite stay yet. The little house had everything we needed (including giant pot for cooking lobster), location was wonderful, very clean, and amazing views surrounding it. Communication with the host was exceptional and we were tickled to meet the house owners when they were next door.

Fantastic view!

The Little House is situated in a great spot which provides for a lovely view of the water. It was very clean and I really appreciate the hosts using a professional laundering service for sheets and towels - provides reassurance of sanitary conditions during this unfortunate time of Covid. The home is well maintained. Three things which impacted our stay adversely: the queen bed is quite hard, like a brick; very uncomfortable. The living room has a small couch. Unfortunately it could really benefit from an ottoman so that two adults could put their feet up. We had terrible weather during our stay, so we were indoors more than anticipated and used the couch often. There is a propane faux wood stove that would have been great to use, but we could not get it to work and the hosts did not answer my text asking for guidance. There is an instruction manual for it in the kitchen. However, despite following the instructions it didn't work. The property is down a drive/road with other homes. Most of those homes that are nearby are quite unkept. Despite those three things, this is a lovingly well-maintained little cottage with a beautiful view.

A lovely, private location with stunning views!

My parents were coming over to Boston from the UK and we wanted to visit Maine (our first time, too). We were looking for somewhere between a few different spots such as Portland and some of the smaller towns further north and this was perfect! The house is in an incredible location with stunning views throughout the day (and gave us a nice peek at the Milky Way at night). Everything was as described and the check-in was simple and straight forward. Property managers Marcy and Darcie were easy to communicate with and prompt to reply to messages. Everything was clean and neatly tidied for our visit. The fire pit late at night with the sea breeze and sounds of water was magical! We definitely plan to come back someday in the future! Thank you for having us!

Gorgeous spot, nice team to work with

The “little house” was a quaint and charming place, with most everything one could need for a coast vacation. We loved watching the changing tides, occasional visits from a harp seal, and the sunrises over the pine trees. Mainestay was very nice to work with. One minor issue is that the house seems to be encircled by another property, and that tended to reduce our sense of privacy. We enjoyed visits from their dogs though.

Dream vacation rental

This Little House was everything my mom and I had dreamed of when we pictured staying in Harpswell. The house was so cozy, the views were to die for, it was so peaceful, and the response when I had questions was immediate. I would recommend The Little House to everyone! We will definitely be going back. We had our two little dogs and it was perfect for them. We absolutely loves our stay! There is also plenty to do right in the area if you want. Thank you for the wonderful place to stay!
