Cottage For Two!

This is the perfect adult only getaway. Warm and cozy best describes this newly renovated cottage. Inside, guests will find a fully equipped kitchen, a smart TV in both the living room and bedroom with complimentary Roku TV, electric fireplace, games and books.

Outside, guests may enjoy the colorful Bohemian feel of the backyard while listening to music and soaking in the hot tub that is tucked away in the "Tub Hut", enjoy a refreshing outdoor shower under nature's pergola of 40' trees. Roast up some S'mores around the new Solo Stove Bonfire fire pit, playing corn hole, darts or dining at the patio table. Firewood and barbecue grill with propane is provided.

Bring your boat or jet ski, we have a good sized driveway out front for your toys.

In less than 5 minutes, enjoy Lake Wallenpaupack Dam Overlook, Public Boat Launch and Fishing Dock, Palymra Beach and the town of Hawley. No matter the season, this area offers something for everyone: boating, swimming, kayaking, golfing, fishing, hiking, skiing, rafting, sightseeing, train excursions, breweries, wineries and more.

The location of our cottage is perfectly situated so that you can be close to it all without being in the middle of it. It is minutes away from Lake Wallenpaupack, walking trail, beach, Wallenpaupack brewery, restaurants, and bars. In a half hour or less, you can enjoy hiking in Promised Land State Park, rafting down the Delaware River or skiing at Big Bear. It is suggested that you have a vehicle to enjoy this area.

The outdoor shower is winterized as of Oct 1st until April. Hot tub is always available year round!

Fabulous!!

This perfect cottage looks exactly like the pictures! Very updated inside - well equipped kitchen and plenty of space in the living area. Access to washer / dryer which is great after the hot tub. The bed was so comfortable I didn’t want to get out of it. And please tell me where you got your pillows and comforter… we want them!!!! The outside of the home was equally great too! Although it snowed so we didn’t get to partake in a fire outdoors or lounge outside however, we used the hot tub all weekend - multiple times a day! The speakers were a nice touch as well to listen to our favorite music, and it snowed while we were in the hot tub, so the cool air was refreshing. Only one item I would suggest is probably a bigger rug at the front door or a tray for shoes because I felt awful that my shoes were wet coming in from the snow. The towels in the bathroom were luxurious, and there were plenty of them. And having hair products was a very nice touch and one less thing I had to pack. This place is close to some shops and lots of restaurants. The Ridge is probably the most popular restaurant in town and reservations are definitely needed. The ski resorts are around an hour away but the drive was lovely. Overall, this is probably one of my favorite stays at any VRBO and I definitely plan on coming back. Thank you to our hosts for making our weekend unforgettable!

23rd Anniversary

This was a great find for us. We have been coming here for anniversaries for quite some time, but in the last few years hotel rates have gone thru the roof. This place is way better than a hotel, and close to everything. Its just big enough, with a fire pit, grill and hot tub!! And the host could not have been more responsive when contacted. Consider this stay for the Hawley area, and you will not be disappointed.

Relaxing getaway

Very clean, beautiful cottage! Quick responses from owner, loved hot tub & fire pit. In quiet wooded area, but only minutes from town & stuff to do.

Three C's

Setting Sails Cottage scores 3 C’s : clean, cute and cozy. Mark was a terrific host. All questions texted to him were promptly answered. We loved the wooded surroundings and all the wonderful amenities. The bed was certainly comfortable. There were many extra touches that we haven’t found in other rentals. The pancakes were delicious, and we enjoyed the wine. (not together!) I’d suggest adding some tongs to the kitchen. I can’t think of anything missing in the bathroom. Mark and Jess have thought of everything. It was an outstanding home to spend time at for a couple.

Anniversary trip

Property was as advertised. We enjoyed the fire pit and hot tub. Not close to many amenities but that didn’t bother us as we stayed in for the most part and enjoyed the backyard. We grilled, sat in the hot tub, sat out back at the fire pit, and enjoyed each others company. Would stay here again.

Wonderful getaway

My wife and I have been looking forward to a wonderful getaway for our 25th anniversary and this cabin was exactly what we were looking for. There were a few ‘hiccups’ during our stay, but Mark and Jess (owners) took care of things immediately, we’re extremely responsive and pleasant, and my wife and I are already dreaming and planning for our next trip here. This is definitely is the place if you are looking for a nice, relaxing, cozy spot to get away, yet close enough to so many things to experience as well.

Labor Day getaway

Was a peaceful retreat. Property was clean, secluded and had plenty of amenities to make our stay extremely enjoyable! Hosts do a wonderful fob maintaining the property and providing for their guests! Amazing!

You Couldn't Ask For More

You can tell that the owners of this property take pride, not just in their property, but how the guests feel about their property. This was our first experience using Vrbo and it couldn't have been any better. The house is amazing. Very clean, countless amenities...it's like they've thought of everything. Super easy check-in process. The bathroom sink was clogged when we got there and in one text message Kim had it taken care of within the hour. The backyard has so many great touches. And a hot tub? I mean, c'mon. They knew that my wife and I were traveling for our 10th anniversary, so we arrived to a "happy anniversary" banner and bottle of wine. Basically, for a few days it really felt like home, but with zero stress. What more could you ask for?

PA HIDEAWAY A MUST VISIT

When you turn onto Holland Rd and the GPS warns, “unpaved road ahead” BE GRATEFUL!!! This is the perfect cottage getaway for two. The owner’s description and photos of the property do it no justice. It is an absolute oasis of peace and tranquillity. The accommodations were above and beyond our expectations. THEY PROVIDE EVERYTHING AND MORE! The service from Rob & Kim was amazing. Book this location now before we try to buy it from them and it will no longer be rentable (just kidding). But to be serious we absolutely loved and adored it. Can’t say enough about what it is close to. Gresham’s Chop House and Gresham’s Ice Cream are a MUST TRY! Stop reading this and go check if your dates are available.

Great couples cottage

Kim and Rob were great from the very start! We were in contact about what we like to do and they gave us places right away. The cottage was very clean and equipped with so many extras. It was a get away we really needed and we are glad we chose this cottage. We would recommend any of their cottages, they were exceptional hosts.

Happy get-away

It was a small cabin for my boyfriend and I to get away for a few days. The check in process was simple. The host answered any question before during or after the trip. It was a wonderful time for us to take a break from our hectic lives. I highly recommend the host and the cabin

Anniversary get away

We had an amazingly relaxing time at this cabin. House was clean, and the electric fire place did a great job keeping us warm, while it was 6°F out side. The hot tub is also immaculate in side of the cute little hot tub hut. Would highly recommend this property for couples looking for a quite, private get away. Owners were great too! Any questions I had were answered quickly and directly in a few minutes. Also it's Close to grocery store, down town hawley, and lake wallenpaupack. Overall, great price, great owners, and great property/location!

We've been coming up to the lake for quite a few years. We wanted something cozy, with all the amenities of home and some luxury. This place fits the bill with the awesome outdoor space, remodeled interior, tucked off the main roads back a little dirt lane.
