Weekend getaway

Great place. Great location if you’re headed to the State Parks. Pet friendly too! We also enjoyed to local restaurants within walking distance.

Short getaway

Our stay was absolutely wonderful and the property was perfect, clean, in working order, with comfortable beds and relaxing local businesses and activities. Would highly recommend and we would definitely stay again in a heartbeat!

Quaint Home Away From It All

This cute home was perfect for my partner, dog, and I to get away from the city and relax. The neighborhood is pretty quiet and near a nice downtown area with great food and nice people. I would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful home away from home

Our family stayed for a weekend to enjoy the trails at Starved Rock. It was a beautiful home away from home. Very clean and inviting. It had everything we needed. Would def stay again.

Sister's weekend

We do a sister's weekend periodically and this is one of the nicest places that we have stayed in. It was obvious that great thought went in to furnishing the property with whatever anyone may want or need. Beautiful property, thank you for the experience and allowing us to make memories together.

Just book it. You wont be disappointed

Perfect location. So quiet. I will rebook this location when I come back into town. Home has is everything you will need. I have stayed many places and they have ice trays. Its the little things that make a stay peaceful.

Perfect!

This was an amazing little home that had everything my boyfriend and I needed for our Starved Rock weekend getaway. It was centrally located in a very quiet neighborhood. The bed was so comfy and both of us slept soundly. It was our home away from home for several days and we would highly recommend to anyone looking for a place near Starved Rock. The hosts are very responsive, friendly, and welcoming. Thank you for having us!

Cozy and Quiet

It was a very nice cozy space. For two families (children) and a fur puppy. It was exactly what we expected from the listing we saw. It was super clean and well organized. We had everything we needed from soap, pans, towels etc to good communication with the property manager. My family will definitely be coming back to this property for future getaways.

Starved Rock Mini Getaway

Our family was delighted to spend a vacation together, and this home contributed to an outstanding experience. Everything that we needed was afforded to our family at this cozy, humble home. Situated in a quiet neighborhood between Ottawa, IL and Starved Rock State Park, guests are a short car ride away from small town shopping and socializing, or excursions along gorgeous bluffs and the Illinois River. The hosts were hospitable, providing an array of amenities for us to appreciate, and were easy to communicate with. Overall, a wonderful experience!

Cute and close to lots

Spent a couple nights in this cute cottagie feeling place to spend the weekend visiting local attractions like Starved Rock State Park and downtown Ottawa and Utica for their quaint offerings. House was exactly as described and perfectly outfitted with everything needed. The comfy beds were foam and form-ish which I love. Kitchen had the stocked essentials and the parking was easy. If we had come on a better weathered weekend we would have enjoyed the back deck and the sunsets I am sure. Thank you for a lovely clean place to lay my head and enjoy my weekend !

Amazing stay!

We took a family weekend getaway out of the city to Starved Rock and stayed with this host. From the time of purchase through checkout, the host was accommodating and available. The description of the home was spot on and was stocked with all of the basic needs and more. The grill and fire pit were a huge hit. It’s a 5 minute drive to breakfast locations, ice cream shop, and a grocery store and 10 minute drive to starved rock. Our kids had so much fun playing monopoly, we made it a no electronic vacation and were excited to have board game options available. The neighbors were also really friendly and the area around the home was clean and peaceful! Highly recommend this stay.
