1/2 block off of Palm Blvd., this cozy cottage is just a short walk to the beach.

The backyard has a magnificent oak canopy; it is hard to imagine this cool green canopy so close to the sun, sand, and surf. Three bedroom, two story home on quiet cul-de-sac between 29th and 30th Ave on Isle of Palms, but without traffic at your doorstep!

Hardwood floors, flat screen TVs, living/dining combo (table seats two), eat-in kitchen (with table seating six) opening onto 12x12 screened porch and adjacent deck with gas grill. Beach shower. Linens included. Pets are conditional and must be approved in advance ($200 non refundable pet fee)..

Rentals are stocked with small ‘starter packs’ that include: toilet paper, trash bags, paper towels, soap, dishwashing soap, and dishwasher detergent.

No smoking. Wireless internet. Cable TV/DVD.

4th of July fun with the grandkids

Convenient but Needs updated

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Location was amazing but the house and yard was disappointing. I could not let the kids play n the yard because of the amount of poison ivy that was EVERYWHERE. I could not prepare a meal because there were not enough supplies to do so. We didn't even have enough glasses for all of us to drink from. The house and yard has so much potential and for the price point I would think that updates could/should be done ASAP.

Cute cottag, great location with challenging amenities

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house is very cute, so close to the beach you can hear the ocean, if you could open the windows. Apparently they’re all nailed shut. Island Realty was very responsive to my complaints. Immediately sent someone out when I ran out of hot water when I took a bath, but suggested I take a shower because there was nothing they could do. Showering did work better. But it’s a 3 bedroom house and it was just me staying there. They sent someone to try and open windows, apologized for the dirty pots and pans, quickly sent a toaster for the broken one, gave me a steel brush to clean the grill. Really, they did all they could. But with the rental rates jumping exponentially the past few years, It felt like price gouging for what it was. Oh, but the Linens and towels were abundant.

It was not clean and we didn't feel relaxed in the house. -Refrigerator door doesn't shut. -Toaster is going to burn the house down-Silverware drawer and utensils had to be cleaned-Furniture was stained, ripped and smelled-Mosquitos in the house flying around & dead on walls-Grill grates were moldy-Place mats, counters, shower needed to be cleaned-Dust/Dirt under beds/baseboards-Broken headboard upstairs with chewed up bedspread-Stove not level -Most of the blinds didn't work (open/up)-Light bulbs out in upstairs bathroom-Vents need to be cleanedThe only positive was the proximity to the beach

Beach house

It was extremely close to the beach. Its literally a 3min walk. The house was in a good location and the house was a good size. My thing about the house is that it wasn’t the cleanest. I don’t know if it’s ever been mopped but we spent so much time at the beach

Nothing to Write Home About

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have used Island Realty for several years now and we are happy with their level of service. We have never encountered any problems.As far as this property goes, it worked for our needs, but nothing to write home about. We would not stay there again or recommend. Pro’s: Location, spacious enoughCon’s: Minimal updates since the house was built (1940’s) making it feel dirty and hodgepodge like, no ceiling fans or ceiling lights in downstairs Den/MB, stains on couches (we covered them with sheets before using), hot at night (some type of lock on thermostat), weird layout, poison ivy galore in backyard.

Relaxing Beach Lifestyle

Reviewer Comments: I rented this property so that we could stay close to the beach, have our entire family under one roof for our vacation, and be able to cook when we wanted to. This property was perfect! We were 5 minutes from the beach, cooking was so convenient, and we spent a lot of time together. The house was roomy enough for the five of us and Peanut (my daughter and son-in-law's dog), all the appliances and fixtures worked well, it was clean and quiet, and the reservations and check-out process was quick and convenient. Thank you!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our family of 4 enjoyed this sweet little beach cottage. The house has some quaint vintage qualities and the yard is AMAZING! The screened in porch was great to enjoy the gigantic oak trees. My only complaint was the porch had a lot of animal hair that had collected on it that the cleaners are apparently not sweeping. As a result we ended up tracking hair into the house. Other than that is was terrific.

Wonderful escape

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It is such a pleasure to work with Island Realty. The communication is great and the staff are so friendly and efficient. The house was clean and there were generous welcome packets of supplies. I have rented this property several times and dearly love it. The screened porch off the back is my absolute favorite spot. The kitchen is well equipped with ample pots, pans, cups, etc. I often cook in using the local seafood available at Simmons Seafood or Harris Teeter. One of the great things about IOP is the convenience of great food shopping. This house being on a dead-end street is a quiet oasis off of busy Palm Blvd. The beach is a short walk away. I highly recommend this property.

Adorable, “feel at home” beach house

It was impeccably clean, gave us plenty of paper products for our 2 week stay, the kitchen was fully stocked and we had everything we needed (and more). We loved the short walk to the beach and daily walks to The Co-Op. Beautiful, quiet and safe neighborhood. Excellent experience!

I especially love its location on a short dead end street off Palm Blvd. The back porch is a definite plus. A great place for dining. The wi-fi is good. It is an older property and has a beach quirkiness that appeals to me. I would highly recommend this house and Island Realty.

Ants were a big problem throughout the house. Oven would not work. Appeared to be fiberglass in downstairs air ducts and sewage was coming from downstairs master bath in the side yard. Attention needed to cleanliness of sofas (wet dog odor) and cobwebs in master bedroom window treatments.

Hidden Gem on a Cul-De-Sac

While the house has some age, it’s kept up well. Very short walk to the beach and a short drive to the local stores. Nice screen porch to drink coffee and read. It was also pet friendly.

Cozy little vacay stay

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great vacation at this little home. It is a GREAT location to the beach. It sits in a quiet cul de sac, so little to no traffic. The home is a little dated and could definitely use some new appliances and new furniture. We did purchase a mop so we could clean the doors while we were there as they were pretty dirty but again not a big deal. None of these “negatives” kept us from having a fantastic time. The master bath has a nice shower. The beds were comfortable. This home has everything you need for your stay. We would definitely stay here again!

Another excellent stay!

The rental property was in good shape and comfortable. I love older homes with personality and this house fits that category. My favorite part of the house is the screened porch. Due to the vacant property behind it and the lush vegetation and gorgeous old live oaks the porch feels very private.

The quiet cul de sac was so sweet, especially with all the trees. We have been vacationing at IOP for 28 years and this little house was a hidden treasure. It is not a fancy house, it is like staying at your grandma's beach house from 73 years ago but we loved it!
