Basswood Bungalow is an escape to a charming cottage just a short walk away (.3 miles) from a private association beach. This 2-bedroom, 1-bathroom cottage has been beautifully renovated with modern amenities, including an EV charger, while still retaining its vintage charm. The spacious living area features comfortable seating and a fireplace, perfect for chilling out after a long day at the beach or exploring Harbor Country.

Enjoy the ultimate relaxation in your own hot tub, nestled in a serene outdoor setting surrounded by nature. Prepare delicious meals in the fully equipped kitchen or on the outdoor BBQ.

Retreat to one of the two stylishly decorated bedrooms, both featuring fresh linens and comfortable bedding for a peaceful night's sleep. The day bed in the 3-season sunroom provides extra sleeping space (twin or king) or a cozy spot to curl up and read. Wake up to the soothing sounds of the birds chirping and step outside to your own outdoor space, perfect for sipping your morning coffee surrounded by nature.

Anniversary Trip

We loved this house and location! A short drive to restaurants/shopping and less than a 5 minute walk to the beach. The host was great to work with and the house was clean and had what we needed. We would definitely stay here again.

Perfect for family of 4

Had a wonderful long weekend with our family of 4 here. Property was spotless, hot tub was very clean, kids loved their bedroom, kitchen was well stocked and the beach was a very short walk. Host was amazing! Best host we’ve ever had. The beach was beautiful!! Lots of restaurants and things to do less than 15 min drive. Would love to come back again!

We enjoyed another lovely stay at this New Buffalo cottage. It is cozy, but perfect for our family of 5. Walk to beach access is about 7 min. House is clean and well stocked, and owner is extremely helpful and attentive. Will stay again!

Cutest Cottage

Beth was a wonderful host! The home was equipped with everything you could need to feel like you were right at home! It was quiet and peaceful and we loved being so close to the beach! This will definitely be the place I book for my future visits to New Buffalo!

Very welcoming

My family had a great time here! The host thinks of everything and every little detail. This the perfect stay for a getaway with family. The private beach near by was beautiful and secluded just like we like it. My kids are already asking to return.

A Perfect Getaway

The house was clean and well appointed. The manager went above and beyond to welcome us and to make our stay a very happy one. Landscape and hot tub were wonderful! Can't wait to stay with them again

Fall fun and relaxation

We loved the Basswood Bungalow! It was so clean, well stocked and so comfy cozy for our fall trip to Michigan! This was our first time visiting and Beth was a very kind hostess! We will definitely be back!!

Romantic setting

This is the ideal space for an intimate get away with your partner. Quiet neighborhood with just a .3 mile walk to the private beach which is absolutely stunning! The home was cozy and comfortable. Truly a gem of a place! Host was very responsive when we had questions. Would certainly consider renting again.

Wonderful Beach Cottage

Fabulous little cottage that is well maintained with a nice modern/outdoor decor. Communication with the property manager made us feel welcomed and right at home. Great location with a 5 minute or less walk to the private beach area. Would definitely stay here again in the future.

Lovely paradise hideaway

We stayed for a few nights at this decorated gem, and enjoyed the hot tub, fire pit, quiet neighborhood association and short walk to the beach. The cottage is very well stocked, and there was nothing we wanted for. I would book here again, as the area is serene and off the beaten path.

Fun Getaway

We had a great time at this cottage. It is quaint, but just enough space for our family of 5 to stay comfortably. About a 5min walk to the private beach, and short drives to plenty of public beaches. Host was very attentive and included thoughtful details and amenities throughout the property.

Cute, clean, welcoming beach house super close to private beach!

We've come to this area several times & this property quickly became a favorite. Having a bunch of young adults who don't want to sleep in the same space as each other makes travel tricky...but there were enough spaces for them to get the space they needed & sleep needed. The host is amazing...super responsive & everything we could have needed was right at our finger tips. I can't say enough good things about this cute bungalow

Very accommodating and great location!

I recently stayed at Beth’s cottage with my husband and toddler. Beth has truly thought of everything and the cottage had everything we needed. The backyard area is great. The beach is very close and there is a wagon to help carry everything. Downtown New Buffalo is about 2 miles away and it is a very nice walk if it’s not too hot. Beth even provided a great list of things to do in the area. We will definitely be back!

Relaxing Getaway

Enjoyed a much needed girls trip with my mom at this cute little bungalow! It was the perfect size, and the perfect location with downtown being like 5 mins away! The host was super friendly and made us feel so welcome! All in all, the bungalow was cute with modern finishes, had everything we needed, and was in a great area! 10/10 would recommend!

Second stay in a month!

We just stayed in this beautiful home for the second time in a month. It was just as amazing as the first time. Beth is the best host we have ever had the pleasure of staying with. She makes sure you feel special and very well taken care of in all of the extra details!

Favorite part of our trip!

We stayed two nights at this beautiful cottage as part of a nine-day road trip, and it was our favorite part of the trip by far! It is immaculate and charming and had everything we needed. The bed was extremely comfortable, and Beth was a wonderful host. Communication was great, and she left us some treats to enjoy. We would definitely stay here again...we really didn't want to leave!
