Riverfront! Pet-Friendly A-Frame Cabin - 25min to Sierra @ Tahoe
Welcome to Redwing River Cabin! Our mid-century retreat with private beach runs along the American River off HWY 50. Suitable for all seasons but backyard river-lounging in the warmer months may take the cake. 25 minutes from Sierra at Tahoe and 40 minutes to Heavenly in South Lake Tahoe for you skiers + boarders. After pouring our heart and soul into this home, we hope the property draws the same emotional response from you all as it does for us!
Our cozy A-frame cabin welcomes guests of all ages to this forested riverfront getaway. Our 3-bedroom, 1.5-bath abode can sleep up to six adults on five beds (children under 6 do not count towards the total occupancy). The thoughtful, modern touches combed together with the classic cabin feel make this a warm yet upscale experience.
Great space for a family, groups of friends, or couples looking for a wooded river reprieve outside life’s daily bustle. Pets are more than welcome ($50 per pet per trip) -- it's our pup's favorite place in the whole wide world. Perfect for summertime lounging in the river, hot cups of coffee on our wraparound deck in the winter and everything in between! Pour yourself a dram from the bar cart and cozy up next to the fireplace.
OUTDOORS: Direct river access and a private, flat beach. Outside of the summer months, the river runs around a frigid 50-55°, perfect for a cold plunge! Inside the summer months? You won't want to leave the water. Rafts and cornhole for your quintessential river day. Weber gas grill on main deck. Riverside wraparound deck off the main living level. River-level deck off the basement door and an upstairs balcony off the primary bedroom for great coffee views. A fourth, front deck can act as a secondary entry in the slippery winter months and becomes a sun-drenched oasis in the summer. Pathway to the river can be a bit steep and may be difficult to access for elderly and mobility impaired individuals.
We also provide fishing poles for those that enjoy casting a line straight from our private beach. Come catch Rainbow Trout along the American River!
COMMON AREAS: Wood-burning fireplace and brand new forced heat throughout. Nest thermostat. Currently, we do not have AC. Dining table for 6, expandable with leaf to 8-10. (You may host non-sleeping guests between the hours of 8am - 10pm). Washer and dryer.
KITCHEN: Fully equipped, open kitchen with stainless steel appliances, ceramic cookware, and a plethora of seasonings. Perfect for people who love to travel and cook! (i.e.: your hosts!) Gas range and industrial range hood. Built-in fridge and bottom freezer with ice maker. Filtered water on tap. Dishwasher and garbage disposal. Drip coffee maker and kettle. Dishware, family-style serving pieces, and a variety of glassware. Children's dinnerware set. Everything you need to cook and host a great meal! We do recommend guests stop at a grocer or get takeout in Placerville or Pollock Pines as there are limited dining options nearby. There is a brand new cafe + coffee shop a 5 minute walk from the cabin, as well as an Asian American diner less than a mile away.
ENTERTAINMENT: ATT Internet Air Wi-Fi and a Samsung Smart TV, equipped with Chromecast for your modern needs. Projector and projector screen in the "kid's" bedroom. BEATS Bluetooth speaker. Board games and playing cards for your competitive throwback nights. Blu-Ray/DVD player complete with Disney classics and familiar adult favorites.

Hi All! My name is Rhys, I'm a longtime hospitality professional with a passion for hosting. This cabin has been a refuge away from the bustling stressors of the city. We hope you enjoy the thoughtful touches we've put on the space for you and your family to enjoy.
Por qué eligió esta propiedad
Hidden gem outside of the hustle and bustle of South Lake Tahoe. The water, of course. The trees. The air. The incredibly friendly neighbors.
Qué distingue a esta propiedad
The thought and effort we personally put in, and continue to put in, to make this the best property it can be. And the water, of course. We are constantly making upgrades (new furnace and river-level deck this fall) on top of the many months it took to personally transform this mid-century cabin into the home you see today.
