Nice older home in a great location. Appreciated that we were able to pay a little extra for a late check out since our flight was in the evening.

Cute house centerally located

The house was cute with comfortable beds. The small home is older and has many quirky charming features. The neighborhood is cute, tree covered and very close to a major highway.

The beds were comfortable and check-in and checkout was easy. It could have been a bit cleaner, but for the most part it was great.

This is charming historic home that was originally built in the 1940s. It has been updated throughout the years and has modern amenities including central air and a dishwasher. The home is nostalgic, but has plenty of room It is located in a quite neighborhood that is conveniently located to downtown and highwaysWe enjoyed being able to stay in a quite neighborhood rather than being crowed into two hotel rooms. We will definitely try to reserve this home on our next trip to Birmingham.

Graduation weekend

Perfect location and stay for Samford graduation with grandparents and college age siblings. Great communication with owner. Would stay again.

Women’s Cont

There were six of us. Four were seniors so the steps were a challenge but we’re glad we were in the neighborhood where it was peaceful. Would love to get this place again if we’re ever back.One thing I would add is you fumigate for the ants. They were a little pesty.

Danny is a wonderful host!

Danny could not have been more gracious as a host. He made certain that the property was well understood prior to check-in and offered all that was needed. He was so kind and accommodating with any exceptions and a wonderful communicator. I would recommend his property with no hesitation.

Fantastic hub for enjoying Birmingham

We loved our stay at Vulcan View Cottage. The property was very comfortable, clean, well-equipped, and spacious. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful as well. Jonathan was helpful, providing all the details we needed and was happy to help. We'd definitely recommend staying here!

Loved this little gem!

This house was perfect for our family’s 2 night stay in Birmingham. The location was close to everything we needed, shopping, restaurants, and Samford University. The neighborhood is active but quiet. If my son chooses Samford I’m sure we will make this a home away from home. Thank you for sharing your place with us.

Clean/centrally located

This house is located on a very nice quiet street, lined with some of the most beautiful trees, flowers. A big reason we booked this property is so we could have dedicated parking and in a quiet location & this fit the bill for both of those. The house was super clean, well stocked with anything we needed for our 3 night stay. The refrigerator has ice maker & water in the door & a regular drip coffee maker which helped to make our stay more like being at home. We had zero problems drying our stay, but Danny was just a text away if needed, not some corporate number. That is also a huge bonus. This house is centrally located to all the things to see and do all around Birmingham. This house had the cutest outdoor space that runs on the side of the house and backyard, would be perfect for coffee or cocktails outside. Our stay was the last week of March, beautiful weather, amazing cherry blossom trees in full bloom including one few houses down from this one. If our travels ever take us back to Birmingham we would definitely book this house again.

Family reunion

This was a clean, safe quiet neighborhood. It was perfect for 7 adults to use as a base for a family get together in Birmingham.

Worked for our needs

Passing through to gulf. Size of rooms was fine. Great proximity to downtown and restaurants. Quiet neighbothood. FYI, older home, master bath is tiny and laundry is in lower level. Hot water was tepid and low pressure. Owner was easy to communicat with.

Nice Place, fabulous location.

The location was amazing. Close to Samford University, and downtown Homewood and Mountain Brook. Not well appointed… very small table for four and not enough dishes. Some maintenance issues poor lighting getting up to the house at night and we had an older aunt and uncle with us.. just a few things would’ve made it an excellent stay!

Great Weekend Getaway!

Perfect location for anything could want to do! We were in town for a football game and long weekend! House was just what we needed and the location made it perfect! Would stay again!
