Excellent and friendly host with great communication. Lovely location on a gorgeous wooded lot. Perfect for a pair or small family. We enjoyed the fall activities in the area but love this area in the summer too. The house is well stocked with what you need to be comfortable.

Wonderful little gem that had all the amenities you need! Great location to union pier, new buffalo, st joes. Very clean, comfortable bedroom, great kitchen!

We found the property perfect- small but with everything we needed, well stocked, a secluded and peaceful space and an nice walk to beaches. We enjoyed Cherry beach for hanging out at the beach and a shorter walk to Pier Beach for sunset walks. And plenty of reading and relaxing, enjoying our morning coffee in the porch, nature watching and viewing the stars at night in the backyard.

The cottage was neat and clean, organized, efficient, modern yet with a cottage feel. And close to beaches, great food, lots of outdoor space and activities.Pati was a gem to communicate with -- responsive and informative.

Such a perfect little cottage for a weekend getaway. My husband & I stayed here this past weekend for our first wedding anniversary. Just enough for the two of us. Very clean and straightforward rules! I would definitely come back to this location next time we visit the Lakeside/New Buffalo area!! Pati was very good about checking in and making sure we had everything we needed for our stay!

The property was surrounded by beautiful trees and the property, especially the backyard and screened in porch set the tone for a wonderful weekend. We had morning coffee on the porch, hiked the Warren Dunes State Park, had dinner at our favorite place Haymarket Brewery. The cottage is quaint and has all the necessities needed for a weekend getaway. It was clean and welcoming.

Pati is an excellent hostess.This lovely home is in a beautiful area within walking distance of the beach/lake.Lots of restaurants and parks nearby.I would think this location is beautiful any time of year - Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall. Treat yourself to a relaxing get-away and/or a vacation filled with lots of activities. You deserve it!

Perfect Cozy Cottage

Great place for a couple to stay. Cottage is off the beaten path, but close to everything. Cottage has everything we needed and was clean. Will definitely keep this place in mind when we come back.

Loved our stay here! Pati was very kind & responsive. She even offered earlier/later check-in/out without us even having to ask. The location is perfect between New Buffalo & Warren Dunes State Park. Lakeside is very peaceful yet full of life. Out of all the near by public beaches, we found Harbert Beach the most convenient just a short drive up the hwy with free parallel parking. The Pier road overlook (totally walkable!) had a stunning sunset view. :) We really appreciated the beach chairs & towels already at the house! The house was spotless & a great home base for the two of us. We hope to come back to the area in the future and would most definitely stay here again!

We had a wonderful quiet getaway at this property and would definitely come back! The location is great, and we loved riding bikes on lakeshore rd to the beach or dinner. It is a serene area and we enjoyed watching deer from the screened porch. The cottage was clean, modern and well equipped with everything we needed.

Cozy cabin near the lake

This cabin is bright and cozy. Plenty of windows to take in the surrounding foliage. Host was very hospitable.

Fresh beach cottage

This is a new one-bedroom cottage in a great location. The entire interior is all-new with nice decor, loads of fresh air and all the basic you need. It's perfect for a couple or small family, we plan to rent again.

Nice Place, Great Location

Second time staying at this property and again very happy with accommodations, location, and host. Had some nice meals at Journeyman’s Distillery, Round Barn Public House, and Casey’s Bar. Visited a few wineries and the casino. Despite the extreme heat the property was comfortable. It has a well stocked kitchen, comfy bed, and nice shower which made for an enjoyable getaway!

Great getaway

We usually stay in union pier when visiting family every year and stay at different properties. This is one we plan to come back to. It was the perfect size for our small family and the amenities were great. We really enjoyed our time and the host Pati was communicative and helpful. Thanks for sharing your home with us!

A Lakeside Getaway & Retreat

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at the Lakeside cottage. We were in the tri-state area for a family memorial service and the property provided peace, quite, comfort and a welcome retreat! Although it was a fairly rainy autumn weekend, we enjoyed Lakeside, Union Pier & New Buffalo. Thank you!!

Perfect quick getaway

We booked just a week before and were pleased with everything. The property was exactly as described and the hostess reached out ahead of time to see if we had any questions. They offer a really handy property and location guide so we knew where restaurants and stores were. The hostess checked in to make sure everything was good.The next time we can get away for a quick trip we’ll be back.

Short & Sweet

We did a long weekend stay for a wedding and this property and location were perfect for that. Since our turn around was quick and we visited relatives while in town we didn't explore the area except for the wonderful breakfast goodies at Black Currant Bakehouse (highly recommend if you have a sweet tooth). Our host was very responsive to the missing ironing board which was appreciated and overall we had a relaxing stay.

Last Minute Getaway

We decided on Thursday to take a quick getaway because the weather forecast was ideal for October. We luckily secured this cabin! Perfect for us in every way. Clean, bright and comfortable. Loved the screened in porch and watching deer in the yard. Well equipped kitchen and spacious open floor plan. We cannot wait to return! I almost hate to post how great it was because it may not be available the next time we need to get away!!

This cottage was an amazing getaway for me and my husband. We stayed a week! Patti is so nice and easy to communicate with. The house was stocked with everything you would need. The neighborhood is so peaceful and private but close enough to everything you would need. My only suggestion would be the house could use another window AC the house is hard to cool the living room and kitchen during the hot evening hours but we would still come back and stay again! Book your vacation here! You won’t regret it!

A fantastic getaway!

This property was perfect for our family of three. The location is great as it is very convenient to drive to Union Pier, Sawyer and New Buffalo. The property itself is very comfortable and a great place to unwind and relax. It's a perfect place for a small family with a fully equipped kitchen and other amenities. The host - Pati Flannery - was very helpful and made sure our stay at the property was comfortable and enjoyable. The neighborhood is nice, roads are scenic and the area is safe. Our child loved the big backyard and the beautiful birds and deer that just came to visit! All in all this property helped us get recharged and return to the daily routine of life.
