Great location close to downtown. LOTS or room. Great for an extended stay. The convenient laundry was a bonus. even the soap was there. Joe's recommendations about dining options were very helpful.

This was in the perfect location. Apartment was very clean and comfortable. We would stay here again if we were to return to Rapid City.

Very good location. We walked to restaurants. Plenty of room for 2 people. A good basic kitchen. A very comfortable bed. The host was very responsive. The building and apartment are a bit dated. But, the laundry room is top of the line.

We were in Rapid City to visit an ailing parent so needed a place with a kitchen. This place was stocked good for that. Overall it was a little run down and could use a deep cleaning. Bed was comfortable! We enjoyed the location.

Joe is a great communicator and his listing is accurate. It’s awesome to have a place that is walking distance to key non-chain/community establishments for breakfast, lunch and dinner after a long day of traveling and exploring. We hope to return in the future.

Pros and cons below. PROS: Great host - Joe was extremely communicative! Loved the guide he sent before we even got there - great resource! House was clean. Quiet neighborhood. Super comfy rocker recliner! No checkout chores (YAY!). House is near downtown so easy to get around, run to the store, etc. Definitely worth what we paid. CONS: It’s in the historic district, so the home and surrounding homes have some wear on them. Joe has decorated nicely, and everything looked pretty good, but there is an eye on the stove that was nonfunctional, the bathroom floor is uneven, and floors are squeaky, as are the floors above your head, so every time the neighbor walks, you hear it. But he was quiet otherwise, so we were thankful for that! I read some reviews about the bed being too firm, but we thought it was fine. My pillow, however, was not. Very thin and not much support. I didn’t realize until night 3 that there were other pillows available in the hall closet, so if you stay, check that out before lights out. Having a communicative host trumps any complaints we had, so I wouldn’t discourage anyone from staying there. Just come aware. I had earplugs for bedtime, so the upstairs early riser didn’t bother me too much! Thanks, Joe, for everything!

Visiting the parks

South Dakota Black Hills Experience

We had a wonderful time in Rapid City. We stayed in a very comfortable apartment in an excellent area The location was a good starting point to visit all that the Black Hills has to offer.

Relaxing and Rejuvenating

Great Location, Highly Recommended, Good communication with owner. Used as base for exploring Black Hills area. Also I could walk to the many restaurants and bars in downtown. Would stay again.

South Dakota Sight Seeing

Great location in Rapid City driving distance to all of the sights, e.g. Mount Rushmore, Custer State Park, Badlands, Wall Drug, Devil's Tower, WY. Plus the convenience of everything available in Rapid City.

Great apartment

Stayed here for 5 days. Everything about the apartment was excellent. It is perfectly situated to use as home base while exploring all the South Dakota attractions, Mt Rushmore, Deadwood, Crazy Horse... Joe is a good landlord, easy to deal with. It was a good vacation in a nice little apartment.

Cozy Little Place

My daughter and I stayed here on the first night of a two-week long trip. The bed wasn’t at all comfortable, but no worse than most hotel beds. Honestly, that’s the only complaint we had. It was cute and clean.

Within walking distance

In addition to being a very clean apartment, it was in walking distance to so many fun places. We enjoyed the walk to Main Street and all the cool brew pubs and retail stores. Never got to use the kitchen because we took advantage of the local restaurants! Highly recommend the walk up to Dinosaur Park to get a 360 view of Rapid City. BEST VIEW!!! Linens were plush and bed was very comfortable. Would stay here again.

Comfort Center

Beautiful with all the comforts of home. Quiet neighborhood After surgery, I spent the night in the amazing recliner while my husband slept peacefully in the bed. I liked your fluffy towels, and yummy coffee. Thanks for sharing. Definitely a place to relax and enjoy the city, too.
