WELCOME HOME! Your own historic house just steps away from all Main Street Galena has to offer. Comfort and luxury awaits you in this 1840’s home, with everything fresh & clean - the way we like it when we travel! Special touches abound, like E&O soaps & shower gel, luxurious linens and towels. Dwell in comfy furnished and decorated spaces upstairs and down, and enjoy the sweet little porch and patio out back. We've approached every detail as if we're moving in tomorrow, all for you to enjoy!

Wonderful experience and stay

We absolutely loved the “Owl House” from the cleanliness, homey decor, and the best hosts we have ever had. Communication was easy and thorough, and our hosts made our stay so comfortable with their stocked kitchen, personal touches and details

Beautiful home in prime location

The Owl House was perfect for our girls weekend trip. It was beautifully decorated with all the amenities we needed plus some. It was very comfortable and just steps from downtown for all of the restaurants and shopping. We would definitely stay here again!

Fall stay in Galena

We enjoyed our stay at the Owl House and would definitely go back next time in Galena. Hosts were very accommodating and wanted to make sure we had a good time. They were very responsive when we asked questions. The house is located 1 block above Main Street where all the restaurants and shops are located. Very convenient. Hosts had dining recommendations which were all good plus gave us advice on local bicycle trails as we hauled the bikes with us. As it turned out staying during the weekdays was a bonus as the crowds were down. Hosts included coffee for us to brew, water in the fridge and a few snacks to munch on. 5 star.

Perfection

Everything about our stay at the Owl House was perfect.. Location was easily walkable to Main Street where there are shops and restaurants. House has historic bones but modern amenities and a cozy feel. Stocked with all we needed for our stay: coffee, snacks, water and other drinks. We really enjoyed the library where we listened to some great music on the record player…brought back some special memories. Appreciated the attention to detail and would definitely recommend this home. Already thinking of returning for a girl trip 😊

Owl House is perfection!

Pristine, clean, trendy, tidy little house just steps to town. Our family loved the wonderful time at the Owl House. Great communication and support from the property managers. Comfortable beds, high end toiletries and wonderful snacks included. Look forward to staying here again!

Perfect location

We had a great time at the Owl House. It was clean, and perfect for the two of us. We loved sitting on the sun porch/dining area. We loved the snacks and drinks that were provided, and the souvenir owl. We played a few records, sat in the screened in porch, and just hung out. No complaints. Parked on Friday and walked everywhere in Galena. Hope to be back soon.

Perfect weekend getaway

Perfect home for a weekend getaway, location is a short walk to downtown making it very convenient. The home is very clean and nicely decorated very welcoming as soon as you enter the front door. Will definately be back

Weekday Escape

My stay at the Owl House was perfect! I stayed during the week and there was good parking available. The house is stand alone, not connected to another property, so it was nice and peaceful! The hosts were incredible and very accommodating. I will definitely stay there again!
