Peaceful Cabin with Boat Dock along the Black River

2 bedroom mobile home, converted to a cabin on the Black River. The bathroom has been renovated. Large windows allow excellent views of the river. Sit on the deck or 3 season room and watch the boats go by. Linens and towels are not provided with the rental, you will have to bring your own, there is a laundry unit for your convenience. There is a private boat dock. Bring your own boat to fish / cruise the river or head out to Black Lake. Black Lake is 10,000 acres with several sandy beach areas to stop and a swim. There are also 2 Kayaks to paddle the river down to the damn or out to the lake. Bring your ATVs, ride to the Black Mountain Recreation Area and 2 extensive trail systems. "The best ATV area in Lower Michigan" The cabin is close to several bars / restaurants and golf courses. 15 minutes from Downtown Cheboygan and 40 minutes from Mackinaw City / Mackinac Island.

The cabin was a great location for all the daytime activities we had planned and unplanned. Communication with the host was no problem. It is pet friendly and a perfect place to stay with your dog. It would have been nice to have had Wi-Fi inside the cabin, although it did work on the porch. Cleanliness was adequate although there is a musty smell in the cabin. Overall, I think the cabin meets most of the items as described in the description.

I am a 80 year old lady and have a few handicaps but had no problems at the cottage.Had a Great time and would door it again . Very clean and comfortable.

THIS A VERY NICE AREA AND CLOSE TO A LOT OF THINGS TO DO. THE CABIN WAS STOCKED WELL WITH ALL THE ESSENTIALS TO COOK OUR MEALS.I WOULD RETURN TO THE LOVELY LITTLE CABIN.

The Cottage we normally use became unawallable last minute this year. I was able to book this for us and we had an amazing time! We went to the beach @ cross village and went to legs inn afterwards for the tastiest polish food-everyone was so nice to us there! Get the Golabki & Smoked whitefish dip spent the evening and next day having campfires, hanging out w/ freddy the lion, disconnecting from my phone and reconnecting w/nature. We couldn’t have had a more amazing time, and we LOVE this spot!! All 3 of us are hoping to book again next year :) Thanks so much!

My fault for not reading thoroughly. I will only say if you rent this place read every single word and any links for this place. I also think VRBO should randomly spot check any properties they put their name behind.

We are truly sorry the cabin didn’t meet your standards. It is a rustic cabin that past guests have loved. Unfortunately, you didn’t read that you had to bring your own linens, that lead to low review.

Black River

Had a great stay. It was a nice base for our excursions to Mackinac Islabd and the UP. It was nice being able to catch fish right from the dock on the property.

Very nice cabin

Canin is newly remodeled with easy access to river and black lake. aside from a bit of a cold rainy start we enjoyed the property and the surrounding area. property was clean and well maintained.

Quiet retreat

The house was very cute and quaint. It's on a really nice river. It brought back a lot of good childhood memories and was a very comfortable stay. Being a dog friendly place to stay was really nice and accommodating. Upgrades were nice and the place was very clean.

What an amazing stay, this place is a little slice of heaven. Whether it's relaxing on the property around the fire, or out on the dock, you'll love this place. They have the house stocked with basically anything you could need and take very good care of it as well. Hope to come back!

Lovely little cabin on the river

This riverside cabin was perfect for what we needed - a spot near Cheboygan where we could work during the day and relax in the evenings. Wifi strong enough to support large Zoom meetings in kitchen, three-season porch and deck. Everything very clean and cute, and kitchen well-stocked! We loved the river and were particularly fond of the pretty early-morning mists that floated over it. Owners were kind and accommodating, with great communication. We would stay again when in the area.

My wife and I have owned this property for 30 years. We enjoy the peaceful surroundings and dining at the local establishments via ATV or boat. In addition to,. short boat rides on the river or longer excursions on the Lake. We are new to hosting and hoping to share the property with guests that will enjoy the same activities.

The property is usually very quiet and tranquil like you would expect being on a river. Wild life is abundant, we have seen plenty of deer, a badger, mink, weasels, beaver, a bear crossing the river and many different birds. You will see boaters, kayakers and fisherman enjoying the waterway.

This property is unique in that it is riverfront that leads to a very large uncrowded lake, close to ATV trails and hole 14 of Rippling Rapids Golf Course. is at the end of the drive.
