Just a short 5-minute walk to the beach, downtown, and Island View Casinos! Relax and unwind with the whole family at this quaint 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom cottage in our welcoming and beautiful historic neighborhood filled with 100-year old bungalows and friendly neighbors! Enjoy relaxing walks along on the white sand beaches, check out the fun restaurants and areas downtown, or hit up the casinos. This cottage is conveniently located for the many festivals and events along the Gulf Coast!

****Please note, we are close to the train tracks, which can be loud at night. Box fans are provided in each bedroom closet to help with noise cancellation.

****Please note, this property has 1 king bed, 1 queen bed, and 1 queen air mattress. Queen Air mattress is located in the bedroom 1 closet (bedroom with the king bed). It has a self-inflating pump and can be set-up in the living room after moving the coffee table. Please move back the furniture, deflate the air mattress and return it to its proper storage bag in the closet.

Great Spot, perfect for us!

The house was in a perfect location, a couple of blocks from the beach and within walking distance to do. Only negative was it was pretty far from our wedding venue, but that was our fault when booking great spot beautiful house.

Wonderful Stay

We just wanted to let you know we enjoyed the stay at your home so much. We enjoyed the cleanliness and the location was awesome. We loved the sound of the train passing through every so often. Your response time to change out the fire alarm batteries was great. Thank you once again for allowing us to stay in your home..would love a return trip given the chance.

Family trip

This is a beautiful property. Our party of three adults thoroughly enjoyed our three night stay. Every need has been considered. Quiet neighborhood and nice neighbors. Highly recommended!

Lovely Home!

We really enjoyed are stay! I honestly can’t find one thing to complain about. We especially enjoyed the snack basket and the complimentary bottle of wine. What a nice added touch. The beds were comfortable. The front porch was nice in the evening to enjoy. We would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful home

You have a beautiful and clean home. It was very comfortable for our family of four. You thought of all the little extras from the treats to the toiletries to the beach towels. Definitely recommend and will stay again if in the area. Thank you. Wish every host was as thoughtful as you were.

Stay for a wedding

It was a cute house, very clean , in a good location. Bethany checked in before we arrived to make sure we received the directions. It had everything we needed. We appreciated the teas, treats that were left for us. It was perfect for us.

Beautiful Stay

I was fortunate to stumble across Bethany’s property when planning a visit for a wedding. The property was beautiful, clean, and in a central location. There were countless touches that really set this property above and beyond. The southern hospitality was just what we needed for the weekend! Thank you Bethany!

Comfortable, cozy, convenient bungalow

We stayed in this lovely bungalow for 10 days. Bethany has done a wonderful job updating this home while keeping the character of the home. She has thought of everything you might need during your stay. The kitchen has all you need should you want to cook. There is a great blender for the frozen concoctions and the ice maker is up to the task.There is a coffee bar with 3 kinds of coffee makers plus teas and sweeteners. We were also welcomed with a personal note, snacks, cold drinks and a bottle of wine. Bethany was quick to respond to questions before and during our stay. We loved the short walk to downtown Gulfport where we enjoyed breakfast ,the brewery and Small Cakes bakery. We also walked to the casino and to the beach. We were able to enjoy the short drives to Ocean Springs, Biloxi and Bay St. Louis. This is a lovely area to explore and Bethany's Getaway is the perfect place to stay.

10/10 - Definitely Recommend!

We had an excellent experience and wonderful stay. Bethany was AMAZING! Her communication was timely and helpful before and throughout our stay. The house was very clean. They anticipated what we may need during our trip and had it available. Even the neighbors were super friendly. To top it off, they left a welcome basket for us! This place really made you feel like you were their personal guests, it felt like home. I look forward to returning to Gulfport and staying here again.

Home with old character and modern amenities

Went to visit with daughter for a birthday celebration. Bethany had so many personalized touches for us at check in and it was the most thoughtfully stocked rental we have ever stayed in. Kitchen had both Keurig and coffee maker, she provided a “coffee and tea” bar with sugar packets, some creamer, and pods. So convenient if you don’t have time to stop. Even had basic spices in the kitchen that made it more convenient to cook. The bathroom had hotel sized soap, disposable toothbrushes etc. Really everything you would need for a stay. Home is an old home with original hardware and architecture that has been renovated with modern amenities. Just a charming home in a convenient location. There was proximity to a train track, but it did not impact our stay. Look forward to staying again!

Gulf Port

The property was very clean, quite neighborhood, All of essentials for a trip to the beach were provided. The description stared it was in walking distance to the beach. It was within a few blocks, but with small children walking isn't really an option. The responsiveness from Vrbo was very slow and led to us having to contact the owner to get directions and instructions on how to enter the house.

Much needed family vacay

This cute bungalow home has been remodeled with a lot of thought. The only suggeation i have would be locks for the bedroom doors. Eveything else was perfect. The home was clean, inviting, and comfortable. The beds are a little high up but there are stools provided.(just incase this helps someone later). Both bathrooms are great and we loved the thick fluffy towels. They even provide shampoo, conditioner, lotion, and extra tooth brushes. Great job of covering basis just incase someone forgot. We did have a small hicup with the lights in one of the bathrooms due to a breaker being tripped but Bethany was so sweet and had someone out to fix it immediately and even sent us a sweet gift for our trouble. They were super helpful and went above and beyond. They gave us some insight to what attractions we should visit along with great places for food and coffee. Coast Roast has amazing coffee and is a must for coffee lovers, you won't be dissapointed.

First visit to the Mississippi gulf coast area

We stayed the week of Feb. 18, 2024. The weather was sunny and warm and we spent most of our days outdoors. The cottage is located a short walk from the beach and there were good sidewalks and traffic signals in between. The nearby communities of Ocean Springs (east) and Bay St. Louis (west) are short drives from the cottage and well worth the time to visit. Davis Bayou and Sandhill Crane Natl Park are a short drive and worth visiting. The cottage is as represented by the photos. It was clean, bright and cozy, and the neighborhood was quiet. The beds were comfortable and made up with nice linens. There were plenty of thick, soft towels and washcloths in the bathrooms. Travel-sized extras, like shampoo, conditioner, makeup remover wipes, shower soap, toothbrush and toothpaste, were provided in both bathrooms. There were plenty of tissues, paper towels and toilet paper supplied. It was nice not having to purchase those types of products. Bethany was a very gracious host! We arrived after it was dark but the cottage lights were on, inside and out, making our arrival more welcoming. It was so nice not fumbling around in a new environment in the dark! There were snacks and a bottle of wine on the table and a few bottles of water and soda in the fridge. Bethany left a lovely thank note on the table. Very thoughtful! We enjoyed our visit and are hoping to visit again! The cottage is a great value.

I have a passion for customer service that has grown with my jobs at Disneyworld, a camp counselor, and now as a physical therapist. Me and my husband Zak are Aggies and have been married since 2014. We love hanging out with our family, outdoor adventures, and our golden retriever, Oakley. Oakley's ability to make others happy is something we are trying to emulate. :)
