Welcome to Homer Oceanfront Retreats
Our Bay Timber Retreat is a stunning property on the shores of Kachemak Bay and conveniently located to the best of Homer. Enjoy waterfront views of the bay, beach, and spit. The beautiful timber-frame home provides the perfect environment to enjoy an Alaskan vacation with friends and family. Amenities include a private hot tub, outdoor seating deck, gas grill, hi-speed internet, and smartTV.
Property Improvements & New Amenities Coming Soon
We are excited to be enhancing the property with several new amenities designed to make your stay even more enjoyable. Upcoming additions include newly constructed rental homes, private hot tubs, a shared sauna, and a shared swim spa pool for guests to enjoy.
While these improvements are nearing completion, guests may occasionally notice construction activity, equipment, workers on site, or minor dust and noise during daytime hours. We make every effort to minimize any disruption and maintain a comfortable, relaxing experience for all guests.

We had a great stay at this home with absolutely beautiful views. The house was clean and well maintained and very conveniently located near the spit and local shopping. Hot tub was a nice plus!

Had a wonderful time with our kids at this property in Homer. It fit all of our needs and the views and proximity to the city, the spit, and outdoor activities was perfect. It would be helpful for the owner to post a few updated photos as they are adding several outbuildings and tiny homes on the property that were a surprise to see when we arrived. Still had amazing views of the glacier across the bay, however, and enjoyed the hot tub after a day of hiking.

Weekend Stay
Nice property, well outfitted and maintained, huge yard, nice deck w/ grill, nice hot tub, no fire pit but with the “Homer breeze” it wouldn’t be very practical for a rental. Overall great place to stay!

We had a wonderful stay at Bay Timbers. Very clean, great communication from the owner, and amazing views! Very convenient to the spit and Homer.

beautiful place to stay
This is a gorgeous place to stay and is well maintained. It is worth being aware that the upstairs is a loft that has divider to separate the master bedroom, and privacy is limited.

We had the most amazing stay for our last minute vacation. We had a middle of the night flight arrival and the host was very accommodating for modifying our stay. The house was clean, comfortable and perfect for our needs. The view was truly breathtaking. There was a little trouble with the lock at check-in in the early morning hours and the host was immediately reachable and had a quick solution. I only mentioned not bc it was a problem but bc we appreciated the immediate responsiveness/availability.

The view is 5 stars but 3 stars overall. Living room couches badly in need of replacement, one lamp switch was faulty. Would suggest some kind of binder with check-in/check-out instructions, house rules, wi-fi network and password (had to search VRBO website for same; thankfully had cell data service to do so), heater adjustment instructions, hot tub instructions all in one place. Local management contact would be nice for timely response to any issues.
