Welcome to Catahoula Lodge! This beautifully renovated mountain cabin is situated on 4+ acres of wooded privacy. Inside you will find spacious bedrooms, maple hardwood flooring, brand new bathrooms and new cabinets, countertops and appliances! Two wood stoves and a beautiful rock chimney provide that great cabin experience. Step outside and enjoy the wrap-around porches that surround all sides of the house. A beautiful mountain stream at our northern border completes the outdoor options--great
spot to play in the water or have a picnic. The large fenced yard provides security for kids or pets.
Located just 1-1/2 miles south of Dupont State Park and five miles north of Ceaser's Head, this is the perfect location for hiking, biking, horseback riding, waterfalls and so much more! The turnoff for the Pretty Place chapel is just three miles to the south--with spectacular views of the South Carolina panorama. We are about 10 minutes from Brevard--voted one of the best small towns in America! Brevard is loaded with art galleries, pottery and weaving, excellent restaurants and shopping. Hendersonville has even more and is about 15 miles to the east. Asheville is north about 30 miles.
The house offers a private and quiet setting to enjoy the outdoors. Two HD satellite TV's and Wifi keep you in touch with the outside world. Toughest decision of your day? Rocking chair, porch swing or hammock? Grab your favorite beverage and pick a favorite spot to relax--Catahoula Lodge is the perfect spot to stay to explore the great things that western North Carolina has to offer!

Comfortable, plenty of space, really beautiful! Some bugs, spiders etc here and there and it needed an airing out but overall clean and fit our group well. We had a great time!

Beautiful property and host was very pleasant and responsive. House does have a smoky smell but I’m sure that’s just from the wood stove that must have been used prior to our arrival.

The house was great for our family and dogs. We loved having space to spread out and the fenced in yard was so helpful. We used the fir pit and thoroughly enjoyed a great spring weekend. We did some hiking, Mtn biking, and a trip to Brevard.

The property offers all the amenities just as they are listed. The fenced back yard was great for our dogs. The kitchen was well appointed. The wrap around deck offers both covered and open options. Which allows you to enjoy the outside no matter the weather. The flowers and blooming bushes around the front of the home were beautiful.Great cabin to spend time with family.

We had a great time at Cedar Mountain! The beds are comfortable, living spaces spacious for different groups, and outdoor space was perfect for any time of day or group. Our old dog was comfortable inside and out!

Great & comfortable house in a beautiful setting in the woods. Very clean and well stocked. Excellent access via shirt drives to various hiking trails and only 20 minutes from Brevard. Would definitely come back

We enjoyed our time at the cabin. The trip to Brevard is lovely and easy. Access to trails and the wonders of this area of western North Carolina is excellent. Only issue to note was the mildewy smell in the basement.

Beautiful Cabin

Stayed here three nights with my family and loved it. The cabin was very spacious and clean. We loved the porch and fire pit. The cabin felt secluded and that’s what we were looking for. We would definitely stay here again.

Location was between our son and his family in Hendersonville and our other son and his wife in Nashville. We got to see both of our boys. Very pet friendly house. Nice fenced in back yard.

There are two wood stoves that keep the house toasty in the winter months. The recent renovations have made this an exceptionally beautiful and comfortable home in a rustic setting.
