Whether you're craving a farm to table meal at the local cafe, a pint by the river at the Canteen, a tasting of local Moonshine and music, or need to pick up supplies at the outfitters store, it's all just a short stroll or ride away.

Secluded Serenity

Tucked away amidst the trees and mountain laurel, this home offers tranquility and privacy. Once accessible only to select family members, this private community now invites you to experience one of WNC's most beautiful and historic summer retreat locations.

Pet-Friendly Paradise

Bring along your furry companions (1 or 2 dogs allowed with prior approval) to share in the adventure! A fee of $100 is charged per dog and agreement to crate them when no one is home with them, ensuring their safety and your peace of mind. (Sorry, we don't allow cats due to allergies.)

Your Home Away From Home

With a maximum occupancy of four to five persons, this cozy cabin ensures your comfort while maintaining environmental sustainability. Please be mindful that our well and septic system necessitates adherence to this limit (not connected to public services). We have recently upgraded to Fiber Optic Cable based communication services for better internet, TV and phone options.

What a wonderful time we had at Summer Haven! The property is well appointed and Melinda was extremely responsive, although we never needed a thing. The cabin is nestled in the forest, and although there are neighbors, you wouldn't know it. The property is less than ten minutes from multiple trailheads for hiking and waterfalls and swimming in DuPont State Recreational Forest. We'll be back!

Summer Haven was perfect for our girls weekend getaway. The cabin was immaculately clean, very spacious and comfortable; the kitchen well-stocked. Melinda was very responsive to a minor issue with the front door key pad. We will definitely return. It’s wonderful!

Cabin was great and very clean as noted in other reviews. The 2nd and 3rd rooms are fairly small if you are visiting with multiple adults instead of kids but still very manageable.

This location has a wonderful long history, a beautiful historic outdoor chapel is our closest neighbor and there are many wild places to explore within just a short drive. This is a paradise location where you can play outdoors year 'round.

This is such a quiet and peaceful spot. I love walking the dogs down the road to a little creek with a swimming hole just big enough for cooling them off. Being able to ride your bike from the home to go mountain biking or cycling for the day is amazing. And we couldn't ask for nicer neighbors!
