Great place! 20 minutes from the National Mall and museums. Loved the fenced in yard for the dogs to run and play. Also close to other neighborhoods for relaxing after walking all day! 10/10 recommend!

So nice to have a comfortable apt. close to downtown. Our pups also like the chance to run around the yard. We love this VRBO and look forward to our next visit.

Wonderful stay.. Our dog loved it too!

Natasha's home was everything we expected and more... Very dog friendly and our guy had a great time at the park just down the road. Close to everything we wanted including the Metro and buses. Thank you!!!!

Stay in DC

This property was one of the best places we have stayed in terms of location, amenities, and quality of the host! There was never a hiccup in the process, and everything was smooth from start to finish. The location was clean, quiet, and in a great location for getting around. I would definitely recommend to others!

What an amazing host!

Wow! This is such a nice area for people traveling with dogs. It’s clean and super close to a gorgeous parkway for walks with your partner and/or furry friend.

When I say my stay was amazing, it’s still an understatement!!! These people were amazing, friendly, warm, and the place is to die for more amenities than mentioned for sure. I HIGHLY recommend! It’s close to everything and the neighborhood is top notch……Thank you for everything Natasha

Great get away

Natasha was amazing. The property was great. Just outside the city in a beautiful park-like neighborhood. Perfect for us and our dog, who enjoyed the yard and our walks to Rick Creek Park. We were close enough to downtown DC to enjoy all the sights and return to a quiet suburban residence and enjoy quiet peaceful nights. Natasha was a fantastic host and made sure our stay was all we had hoped for.

What a beautiful spot

What a great little basement cottage to rest after walking DC all day. The nice quiet neighborhood with a beautiful park close by. My husband and daughter loved the pool table, it was a nice way to relax in the evenings.

Evening fun

We loved our stay here. It was convenient to sight see in DC. Natasha was helpful in sharing with us how to access the metro since we are not from that area. My son absolutely loved being able to play pool in the evenings when we returned. So would love to stay here again the next time we return to DC.

Graduation getaway

Natasha was a warm, welcoming host to me, my wife, 8 year old son, and our 3 dogs! We were all very comfortable, and the dogs loved the fenced in yard. We were a short drive from Georgetown, the White House, the zoo, and other DC attractions. We would come back again!

Dog Friendly and Quiet

This was convenient for us because we were visiting someone who lives in Columbia Heights. The apartment was well furnished and clean. Being able to bring our dog was a huge plus. The host is friendly and easily reached. A good choice if you have a car and want a quieter place (and especially if you have a dog).

Comfortable & Pet friendly!

We had a comfortable stay at Natasha's place. We brought our furbabies as well and I really liked that this place welcomed pets. We also enjoyed the game room. Not the cleanest place but it accommodated everything else we needed. Thank you Natasha!

The apartment is very cute and cozy, though it is a bit smaller than I expected. However, the game room more than makes up for the size. It could use some cleaning, but overall, the location is fantastic, featuring beautiful architecture and plenty of greenery. The hostess is very friendly and provided helpful information on navigating the city using public transportation.

Vacation

The apartment was cute as it could be. We loved it. It was exactly as described. Natasha was so sweet. She was very helpful. Our dogs could run and play. I will definitely recommend this apartment to anyone I know going to DC. Thank you Natasha for an enjoyable stay.

Welcoming to us and our dog

The owners are fantastic hosts. They made us feel so welcome with our elderly lab mix. He was equally comfortable with the stay. The location is in a beautiful neighborhood close to the Rock Creek park. While we brought our dog with us for most outings, we were also able to let him stay comfortably behind when best for him. There are many thoughtful details that the hosts have added to the apartment. We would definitely return!

Quiet neighborhood, clean & safe accommodations!

We stayed here for my son’s graduation from American University. We needed dog-friendly accommodations in case our usual dog-sitting arrangement didn’t work out (in the end, our dog ended up staying home). Natasha’s place was in a quiet, safe neighborhood and the accommodations were clean and well-supplied with lots of conveniences to make it feel like home. The property is accurately described in the listing. A great value for accommodations in the District, especially since there is room to park your car. (Hotels charge $$$ for parking!!!) Highly recommend.

Thanksgiving Visit with Daughter

Small downstairs property 1 bedroom, 1 bath, and full kitchen stocked with many extras. Property allowed dogs, and the fenced in backyard worked very well for exercising the dog as well as the park with walking trails that was close. We had access to the game room with large living room area and pool table as well as 2nd bathroom. We were in DC to spend Thanksgiving with our daughter who lives in Georgetown, so this property was quite close to where she lives and works. Natasha was very helpful with details about the property, answered my many questions, and did everything she could to make our stay very enjoyable. We enjoyed our stay, and will stop again when we are visiting our daughter.

Fantastic Rental; Great Location and an outstanding host and apartment

We attended several meetings in DC and needed to find a great place that allowed dogs. This was the place. Unfortunately, we lost our beloved Brittany prior to our trip but we still came and were not disappointed. Natasha is very personable and the apartment was clean, quiet and close to everything. We did read the negative comments from a prior traveler and don't understand the issues. The smell she stated was due to the carpets being cleaned and was not an issue, it didn't last and was barely noticable. This location and host are the best. You won't be disappointed.

Property needs work

The host was very gracious letting us change dates. Very pleasant to deal with personally. BUT 1. Shared driveway /gravel parking description was erroneous. Really meant Parking on street. With a 75 feet walk up a hill driveway to get to more steps. 2. Climb continued up several steps up a sidewalk that was not lit at night. Better have a flashlight. 3. Was redirected through backyard. Backyard walk is 12 inch pavers pathway in very slippery mud. Up and down a hill. Again no lights at night. Path was overgrown with trees and ivy that kept slapping us in the face. 4. Entrance at bottom of steps with no rail. Wall covered in ivy so you can’t steady yourself in fear of animals in ivy (snakes?). 5. Musty/musky smell in apt. Although it appeared clean, no sign of bugs. But BR had some mildew. 6. Plumbing issue upon arrival. Asked us to place toilet paper in trash instead of toilet. I did not, flushed waste first, then toilet paper, worked fine. Said previous guest flushed paper towels. After 12 years of VRBO my first negative review. Process was great. Facility needs work.

That is true that on the day Jim arrived we had a plumbing problem left from the guest before. Some of the work needed to be performed outside making the entry way to the apartment via the backyard longer. I should have canceled Jim's reservation in the last minute, but I know how disoriented and stressed out a traveler might be in a new place when he faces a last-minute cancelation, and I did not cancel. Probably, my mistake, because everything after that seems "black" to that traveler -- snakes in wall beautifully decorated with ivy, smell in the room with an air purifier and fresh filters... Very sorry about all that.

Ci siamo trovati benissimo il posto è molto bello, in mezzo al bosco e con parcheggio che a Washington è difficile trovare. La signora ci ha messo a disposizione tutto quello che ci seviva.

A wonderful vacation in Washington DC

I will recommend this apartment to anyone. It's very close to the Smithsonian museums and it's pet friendly. The neighbourhood is very quiet and safe. And if you love nature, this is the place. And if you are not planning to hit the road, there is a very nice entertainment room where you can play pool. Natasha, it was very nice meeting you and a big hug to Cocos (hosts Welsh terrier).

Excellent property

This is an excellent property. Great place to stay. Property manager responds quickly to questions. Easy to have groceries and food delivered. Highly recommend.
