This cabin is conveniently located on a quiet wooded street just footsteps to a beautiful coastal beach trail. Head down the trail and you are a five minute walk to Indian beach for great beach-combing and tide-pooling. Head up the trail and you are a 5 minute walk to stores, restaurants, pier, local museum, public Bocci ball and tennis courts and other great hikes. Grab the dog because the town & beaches are super dog friendly.

This home is well suited for a couple’s getaway, friends gathering, or a comfortable stay for a family of four. One bedroom offers a King bed and the other a Queen bed. Parker Creek Cabin sits on an extra large lot with plenty of yard to enjoy and is fully fenced. Sit and relax on the covered deck that looks out at the forest and neighborhood. This home has beautiful hard wood floors and large windows making it feel open and warm. The wood stove provides great heat and ambiance while watching movies on the smart T.V. Living room is open to the small but well equipped kitchen with breakfast bar. The high café style dining table adds a contemporary touch. This beachy cottage has a great cabin-like feel. Washer and dryer in detached shed.

Trinidad, once a historic whaling town remains a quaint, fishing village. It has one of the last "mosquito" commercial fishing fleets in California. Take a stroll on the newly remodeled pier or venture out on one of the many charter fishing boats. Depending on the season, dine on local Salmon, Rock Cod, Ling Cod or Crab. Come and enjoy Trinidad, where the Redwoods meet the sea!

Wonderful roomy quiet retreat in Trinidad

We fully enjoyed our stay at the property. Interactions with the host were fine. Lots of good information provided in pamphlets and online. Close to the beach, but private. Big lot, roomy house, nicely appointed. We'd come back there again.

Quiet and well located near private beach

Weekend Getaway

My family rented this place to attend Rumble over the Redwoods in McKinleyville. It was a great location and we loved the ability to walk to Indian Beach or into town for coffee in the morning. It’s smells like an old cabin. Haha. Which can be kind of nostalgic. The only thing I wish is that check-in was pushed up an hour to 3 PM and check-out pushed out an hour to 11 AM. Other than that, it was good!

quiet location and close to beach

we stayed on a very hot day- but able to open the windows and let some air in. Bed was comfortable and bathroom adequate. we did notice a slip up on one coffee cup washing- but we now try to wash own dishes when a dishwasher not in unit. I would recommend a shed or the trash because an animal made dinner late at night of the previous trash bags left in the garage area. If this was one thing I suggest it would help.

Nice little house in Trinidad

This house was larger than expected and came well supplied. The porch deck is a nice bonus for outdoor seating. The bathtub/shower drain is very slow and got worse over the week.

Honeymoon

We loved staying at the house. It was very private and just a quick walk down to the beach. Also very easy and quick to drive to nearby landmarks for sightseeing.

Trinidad vacation

The little house was nice & clean. The location was great.The one love seat in the house was comfortable for two, but not four adults. The bathroom was clean. There were no dressers/vanity in the two bedrooms, so we lived out of our suitcases for our 4 day stay and had no a place to prepare for the day. The location is perfect for many quick walks down to the beach. It would have been wonderful to have some beach chairs to take down to the many quick walks we took to watch the amazing sunsets. The kitchen had the essentials. We enjoyed our stay, but it’s would be more comfortable for 2 not 4. Being able have our dog Lola with us was GREAT!

Cozy coast retreat

Great location and really cozy beds. Just a short walk to the beach and downtown. The wood stove made the place to cozy and we enjoyed the covered deck since it was raining most of the time.

Pretty good, but also not cheap

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed our stay however a few things could be better. The towel bar in the bathroom needs repair, and a few other small items. The deck was slippery when wet and could be a hazard. The living room furniture is not comfortable and the tv is small. It rained the entire weekend we were there, so we were inside more than usual. $100/ per day for cleaning, pet fee and damage protection seemed steep since they ask you to take out your own trash and then ask for a tip for the cleaning person.

We were able to bring our dog and with the fenced yard, we could relax knowing she couldn’t get out. We could walk to Murphys market and a couple of restaurants and beach. Beautiful Trinidad

Parker Creek Cabin is a quaint little cabin within walking distance of groceries, restaurants and the beach. The kitchen is adequately stocked and all of the appliances work well. The heating in the cabin works great. We did not elect to use the wood burning stove. The deck is fantastic and a beautiful place to sit for morning coffee or tea. On site laundry facilities and the fenced yard for our dog were both added bonuses. We concur with other renters that lighting inside is challenging if you read or play board games. There is also a lack of comfortable, relaxed seating both in the house and on the deck. Fortunately, previous renters comments prepared us for that, so we brought our own deck chairs. Overall a great place to stay and we would rent here again.

Nice place to stay but needs some updating

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was a nice, clean place to stay in Trinidad. It is dated, with the last home renovations probably done in the 80s, but that was fine. It does need some upgrades, however, like a nicer coffee pot, a coffee grinder, some better and more comfortable living room furniture, and dressers in the bedrooms. The king bed was very comfy, though, so that was great. Overall, a perfectly adequate place to stay but it could definitely use some upgrades that would not be very costly but that would still reflect the fact that this is a vacation rental and though it’s relatively cheap, compared to other properties in the area, that doesn’t make it actually cheap and the owner should invest just a bit in some creature comforts for guests.

Private, cute home

Gret location! steep trail to the best beach in Trinidad. My 85 yr old husband and I did two walks to the beach where we saw seals, and had a ball. nice deck for afternoon wine time.

Vintage house with great location

It was very clean and comfortable. Next to trail to beach in town of Trinidad. House has original kitchen and bathroom but well maintained and charming wood accents.
