'Bayside Hideaway' Jamaica Beach Canal, Sleeps 8, 3 BR-3 Full Bath

Our home is located on the West End of Galveston in Jamaica Beach, 11 miles from 61st street in Galveston.

The house has three bedrooms and three full baths. Two bed rooms have queen beds and third has bunk beds with double on bottom, twin on top and a pull out twin trundle bed. Linens and towels are provided. Washer and dryer are located downstairs. Flat screen HD television in the living room with DVD player. We also offer a selection of board games, puzzles and a backgammon game. Kitchen is stocked with dishes, silverware, pots and pans, Mr. Coffee maker and Keurig K Cup coffee machine. Wireless high speed internet.

Downstairs there is a hammock for you to kick back on and enjoy the breeze that blows under the house. We have 1 single person kayak and a 4 person peddle boat for your use at your own risk. Upstairs there is plenty of shade for you to enjoy dinner on the deck if you like.

The fishing at night off the large dock is very good as the green overhead spot light attract bait fish which attract bigger fish for you to catch. Trout and redfish are usually feeding nightly. You need to bring your own rod and reel for fishing. Crab traps are available for your use . Boat lift available for boats 22' and under.

Jamaica Beach playground, pool and beach are a short ride or walk for you to enjoy.

Great Place

This was a great place for our quick family getaway. Brent was more than accommodating and the house had everything that we needed. I would highly recommend staying here if you plan on coming to Galveston.

Very nice stay

We had a good time, played board games, fished, did some crabbing, and went into Houston on occasion for additional restaurant choices.Check in was a breeze, and the owner was very responsive to ensure our stay was easy.If I would change one thing, it would be to refresh the spices. Just salt, pepper, and garlic powder would be all that you'd need there.

Thanksgiving Fun

Had a wonderful time over thanksgiving. Very well curated house with all the appliances and cooking utensils. Great layout and views. Definitely would recommend.

Business and fishing

Had a wonderful time at this particular property. The owner met us when we checked in and everything was perfect. There's plenty of room, a dock with great fishing and comfortable beds. We will be back.

Great Location in Jamaica Beach

Property was very nice. Very open inside with lots of deck space outside, both open and shaded. Dock area was very nice and convenient. Property had lots of extras that we did not get time to use, like the kayak but the crab traps were lots of fun. Inside there were plenty of everything you would want for a carefree stay.

Great Family Thanksgiving

Brent was an amazing host. He communicated with us from the beginning and addressed all (only) minor issues that arose quickly. House was well furnished as described and comfortable even for a large family of six. Great location to all the local spots. We will definitely keep this rental in mind if available.

Best time ever at the ocean!

This property was even better than the pictures. The kitchen was so well stocked cooking was great fun. The men had a wonderful time fishing and enjoying the outside spaces. Checking in and out was easy. I wouldn't have added one thing.

Simply Amazing

This was the best. Brent has the best communication and is wonderful. I would recommend this house to anyone. Great for fishing, kayak and paddle boat. 4 minute drive to Jamaica Beach. We had a great time and will come back next year!

Trying someplace new

First time at jamaica beach/Galveston. Staying at Brent's place was A+. Everyone enjoyed the close beach area and the proximity to Galveston. I got by enjoying the sound of the wind chime while I fished off the dock. Our daughter will probably require us to visit again and again as she loved the blue crab breakfast provided by the crab traps and a couple of chicken legs. Thanks again Brent.

Fantastic Getaway

What a great stay we had at the Bayside Hideaway. Brent, the host, was very kind, responsive and generous. He even made a special trip out to make sure we had all that we needed. He went above and beyond our expectations. What a nice host. The rooms were great for the 4 of us, beds were very comfortable and the sofa was fantastic. Everything you need in the kitchen, and barbecue areas and then some for a super time.What fun we had in the paddle boat and kayak! We would definitely go back and highly recommend it.

Perfect for our family!

Brent’s house in the Jamaica Beach canals was perfect for our family and just what we where looking for. It is in a great location, both the upper and lower decks are perfect for lounging, watching the kids play, having your coffee, reading, just enjoying the beach breeze-which definitely comes through in the mornings and evenings. The house was well stocked with activities and with most things a family would need. Brent the owner was communicative from the moment we got there and was quick to respond if we ever needed him. House is very well kept and comfortable. We are looking forward to staying here again in the future!

No worries!

The owner has taken care of everything. He is great to work with and responds quickly to any need. You only need to bring your clothes, fishing tackle, and food. Party central is located under the house and on the huge deck. Just kick back and relax!

Awesome Bayside Hideaway

You will never meet a more personable owner than Brent. He met us and gave us a tour of his home. He was available if there were any problems which we had no problems. The open concept of the kitchen and living room are well furnished. Bedrooms were roomy and comfortable, nice size bathrooms. Water views from the deck were amazing. The down stairs outdoor living area is fabulous with hammock, grill, chairs, boat slip, etc. My boys enjoyed going out on the kayak and paddle boat fishing. We used the crab traps and in a few days had more than enough crabs to cook plus one flounder that somehow made its way into one of the traps. First time for us to do a crab boil and bake flounder which came out delish. Perfect location and nice neighbors. We rented a golf cart to go back and forth to the beach so we never got sand in our vehicle and so much fun running around Jamaica Beach, was worth every penny. Brent has a ring game downstairs that is very addicting! We would definitely come back and stay at the Bayside Hideway again.

A great place for a family vacation

The Bayside Hideway provided everything that we expected and needed for a relaxing Jamaica Beach vacation. The house was well maintained and immaculately cleaned. The furnishing were comfortable and the house was equipped with everything needed for cooking and recreation. All appliances were in good shape and easy to use. The owner has placed all household manuals in a kitchen cabinet for easy reference. There were plenty of spare towels and the kitchen was equipped with an extensive assortment of appliances and cooking utensils. The kitchen was well laid out and the living room spacious and comfortable. The deck was large and encircles the house. As nice as the living area is the lower (ground) level sets the place apart from other rentals. This area is extremely large and well laid out. The owner has provided three outdoor cookers, (charcoal, gas , and smoker). There is ample seating to handle a large family gathering. The boat slip and the dock are very well designed and there is ample room for crabbing and fishing off the wide dock outboard of the boat slip. The boat lift is easy to use. There is a convenient cleaning table, hose and outdoor shower near the dock. A paddle boat kept the grandkids occupied. There is an extensive number of personal flotation devices provided, along with several bicycles for touring the area. During our stay we had the opportunity to visit several other houses rented by extended family members and the Bayside Hideaway stood head and shoulders above those other places. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to renting it again.

Amazing weekend get away

We really enjoyed our weekend here! Perfect space for the family and in laws with two small children. The owner is extremely responsive and kind and we will absolutely be booking here again! Very close to state park and great fishing from the back dock.

Spring vacation

The place is nice and clean. There’s a lot of croakers to catch if you use an Aberdeen size 6 or 8 hook with cut shrimp and cast between the middle and right side. There’s also an occasional catfish. Unfortunately, we didn’t catch any red drum or crab.

Fishing fun

My family and I enjoyed staying in this beautiful home! The boat dock was wonderful. We had a great time fishing in the evenings and the location of the home was perfect to head to the beach. I highly recommend this property.
