This home is fully disinfected after every rental. Bay surrounds you. You can't find a more breathtaking view of West Galveston Bay than from this wonderful home. The sunsets are amazing every day. Enjoy the sunsets form your upper of lower deck. Enjoy the breeze, eat, BBQ or enjoy a cool drink in your private hide-a-way on the first floor of this unique home. You can bring your own boat to enjoy cruising the bay or fishing. There is a dock for your boat. Also overhead fishing lights cover your 150 feet right on the bay, the fishing is great. There is no house on the bay as unique as this home. Surrounded on three sides by water this is a true peninsula. You can even crab most of the year. This house sits on two lots at the end of the road on the east side of Jamaica Beach. The state park is to the east and Galveston's West bay is all around you. Also, in season, enjoy Jamaica Beach's brand new pool for a small charge per day. There is a great walking path beginning at this home that goes around Jamaica Beach. About a 3/4 mile walk to the pool. Even in the hottest months the southern breeze blows cool through the first level entertainment

Great Fishing Location

If you are looking for a great fishing location, this is it. This home is on the bay, not a channel. We saw dolphins, the grandkids caught lots of crabs that were clean and beautiful as well as fish. We couldn't figure out the key and owner called me right away. Housekeeper even came on a holiday to see if I needed more sheets and towels. Very open communication with owner. Best part of this house is the space all to itself with bottom area to get together for fishing or enjoying the breeze and animal watching.

Best sunset view and great fishing

Dishwasher is rusted , need to replace it! 4 knobs missing on one of the dresser, need to replace those old dresser! Like the new leather sofa ! 4 porch lights , only one worked! Need to update some floor and curtains! Location is great!! A/C worked great, we enjoyed the stay.

View of bay is great, house in need of repairs. Circa 1980’s. Deck is rotted, bathroom door delaminated, bathroom ceilings moisture damage, kitchen counter damaged, dock section not level, buckled walls in bathroom, 1 toilet wouldn’t flush, broken fishing rod holders, tv remote corroded batteries,broken rack in refrigerator,poorly maintained home, not worth the price

Fun in the sun filled weekend!

We had a wonderful time with family this weekend! The location and sunset can’t be beat. We fished all weekend and spent the majority of our time outside. The a/c kept the house plenty cold in August, which was such a nice relief. We had 4 families with kids ranging from 14 to 5, and there was plenty of room for everyone to be comfortable. Thank you for a fun weekend rental!

The wiews and sunsets were spectacular. The house is a little dated but we were outside most of the time. Sleeping at night was nice because the AC kept the house cold!! Property manager responded promptly to messages & I left my phone behind and they went the extra mile to overnight it to me!! Would definitely stay here again.

Secluded, but still so close

As we drove up we were at aww at the beautiful property that was secluded on the point. No one right up next to us. As we get out, we see the huge patio that goes on for ever, it was just beautiful! My family of mostly guys, love to fish and this was absolutely the best fishing spot. The house was nice but we were outside 90% of the time. We loved it

Recent Stay

The location of the property cannot be beat, its sits at the end of a peninsula which is perfect for fishing and crabbing with plenty of privacy. However, this house should be listed as a fishing camp not a VBRO just so you know what you are getting into. It is extremely poorly managed and upkept. There is mold coming out of the vents, and the entire house was covered in dust. Multiple lights both inside and out were out or inoperable. There was a lamp in the closet made of glass we went to use but it was broken and just jagged glass. The kitchen is severely outdated. There were only 5 forks, the kitchen stove says it is 2 years old which there is no way. One burner did not work, one was so uneven it made cooking very hard as everything went to one side. There were very few pots and pans to utilize, and all looked old and nasty. At night when the lights went off is when all the roaches came out, need pest control. The showers are not hot they are cool. The couch in the living room is pathetic. Its been so broken and horribly repaired that it forms a V in the back and is a tripping hazard. They shoved blankets under the cushions to try and prop up to make it look normal but you still fall into the broken couch and it is hard to get out of. The DVD player did not work either in the living room. Outside faucet didn't have a handle to turn on, grill was full of ash and falling apart, no propane tank as advertised. So little money put back into the house would improve it.

Awesome location and as advertised

The location itself was worth the money! I wish the appointments within the house were a bit better (bathrooms, TVs, towels), but we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Weekend getaway

The house has a great location. Wonderful views of the bay. Perfect size for what we needed. Enjoyed the nice deck and covered area. The property manager responded quickly. However, the house is in need of upgrades. The kitchen and bathrooms are dated. The couches are not comfortable. House needs to be exterminated.

Will not visit again

My family and I have rented this property multiple times in the past and have had enjoyable experiences, but our most recent visit was quite disappointing. Despite the outdated interior, we were willing to overlook it as the fishing in the area had been great in the past. However, this trip was hampered by unusually cold weather, resulting in no bites at all. The biggest issue we encountered was the significant presence of cockroaches. Upon arrival, we were greeted by several dead roaches inside and around the refrigerator, and throughout our stay, we found more cockroaches in the kitchen and rooms (To be fair, there was a pest control plug near the kitchen, which I believe was ineffective in preventing cockroach infestation). It made for a very unpleasant stay, and we decided not to rent this property again until the owner makes some serious upgrades. Definitely not worth the price.

Excellent spot for fishing, need to upgrade the fishing lights. Beds were comfortable.

Great property and good communication with the owner. The response by owner if we needed anything or any concerns.

Friends fishing trip 2022

The location is amazing for our planned fishing trip. We caught fish all weekend. Had small issue with outside night fishing lights and some house keeping, but the problem was fixed next day. I would definitely stay here again. Here are talking about making this an annual friends trips!!! Thanks for everything.
