Wonderful stay in Princeville

We stayed here with 10 people, 6 adults and 4 teens. The neighborhood is beautiful and the albatross chicks were adorable. Great place to walk around. Grocery store close by. The house was perfect for our needs and the host was very responsive to our questions. Having the beach nearby was amazing. The path is a decent hike but the reward is a beautiful, quiet beach with incredible snorkeling. When you hike down the path and reach the water, you would typically go left to the beach. If you go right along the water on the rocks, you will find the gorgeous hidden waterfall. Absolutely worth the hike.

Best Stay in Princeville!

We (Family of 10) spent 4 nights and had the best stay. The house was perfect for us -- plenty of room, very clean, and the view from the 2nd floor balcony was gorgeous! And property manager was so friendly and very accommodating. Can't recommend this place enough. We will definitely stay here again! Thank you!

Very disappointing property, exacerbated by misleading to false advertising, which led to unmet expectations. The house does NOT have AC throughout the two story home. It has a splitter on the upper level, which does a fine job for the upstairs, but nothing for the lower level where four of the five bedrooms reside. These rooms had ceiling fans which moved around the hot humid air but nothing to cool it down. There were also standing fans in these rooms but the black fuzzy dusty moldy substance in them dissuaded us from polluting our lungs. I thought I’d open the sliding door to outside and let air flow through but the screen door had fallen off the rails. Speaking of ventilation, neither of the downstairs bathrooms had fans and opening the windows to outside did not help dissipate the sweltering heat. The only option was to keep the bathroom door open but with three families staying downstairs that was a non starter due to lack of privacy. The upstairs primary bathroom had a jetted tub which we tried to use for the kids, but the stopper didn’t work. When we arrived we found insects in the carpeting, filth under the beds (pushed twin beds together for young couple), sunflower seeds in the carpeting, moldy coffee grounds in the coffee maker. General sense of neglect. This was NOT the “luxury” home described in the advertising. It was spacious, the accommodations were generally functional, they provided much appreciated beach gear, it had a beautiful ocean view. That’s it.

Beautiful home

This was a beautiful home with a breathtaking view, especially the morning sunrise. More than enough room for our group of 9 adults and 1 child It was very nice having a common area between the bottom floor bedrooms. This made it feel private from the upstairs. I can't say enough about how much I loved the master bedroom and the spacious layout of the upstairs living aera. The beautiful view from every room. The beds were all comfortable. Correspondences with the host were very easy and pleasant. I would definitely stay here again.

Amazing Family Kauai Getaway

The house was amazing and comfortably fit our multi family group perfectly. Oh and the view from the lanai was incredible. We enjoyed having a full kitchen for family dinners, the multiple living spaces for kids and grown ups, laundry, plenty of bathrooms, everyone had a bed and they had every beach accessory we needed! We enjoyed having a yard for the kids to get their wiggles out and the short hike to sea lodge beach. We really enjoyed the more chill Princeville/Hanalei area and loved Hanalei bay. It was the most amazing vacation and we definitely had a hard time leaving!

Comfortable, Great Location

We had a fantastic time at the property. Just a short 10 minute hike to a gorgeous lookout and what felt like our own private beach. Great table overlooking a large backyard and ocean, where we had breakfast and dinner almost every day. Plenty of amenities throughout, including beach equipment, everything you need in the kitchen, and even a welcome bottle of wine. The property owner was kind and communicative throughout. Excellent.

This is a beautiful home with all the amenities needed for a wonderful week !

We had a wonderful week with a family of 10 people which this home accommodated very well. Rodney was prompt to responding to our questions prior to arrival day and while we were there he was very attentive to our needs! We cooked dinner every night in the spacious kitchen, as we had 4 little ones age 7, 5,4 and 10 months. It was a beautiful , quiet neighborhood with very friendly people. I highly recommend this home and hope to return to enjoy the ocean breeze and the breath-taking ocean view!

Fantastic View of the Ocean

This house is the perfect location in Princeville. Nice, quiet neighborhood, close to everything you need. BBQ on the back deck almost every night with breezes cooling and views to die for. Two families of 5 each fit well. New jacuzzi was really nice also. Kristen manages the house here on the island and was prompt on our requests. Can't wait to return. 2nd time staying here. Will be back.

Multi-family home in Princeville

Lovely home with a great location! The house very comfortably hosted 3 families with school aged children. We ate outside every night and the kids loved playing in the big yard! It was so nice to have some amenities when we got there. The 10 minute walk to the beach was a little tough for our 75-year old parents. But, it was fine for everyone else!

Beautiful house with magnificent view of the Pacific Ocean

My husband and I celebrated our 50th Anniversary with our children and grandchildren at this house. Lots of space and everything we needed. Owner was quickly accessible to any and all communications we needed to have with him. We had a wonderful week filled with great excursions on this beautiful island. We highly recommend the Catamaran Dinner Cruise, hiking, the tubing adventures, and many beautiful beaches, helicopter rides, the Kauai Downhill Bike Ride were all spectacular. Aloha!

Beautiful spacious property

The property has 5 bedrooms and worked out perfectly for a family of 10. The parent/grandparents and two families of four. Each family had their own wing. And the parents/grandparents their own master bedroom. The views from the balcony were very nice and we could watch a beautiful ocean sunrise in the morning when the sky was clear. The kitchen/dining room sits 10 and worked out well for dinners at home. We did not need to use the air conditioner due to the cool ocean winds at night. A few things needed minor repairs. We notified the owner who we understand was going to follow up in those items. We weren’t disappointed and would stay there again.

Paradise

Our experience in renting this lovely property was stellar. We had questions months before we arrived, and all were promptly answered. Home access information was sent well in advance, enabling us to get the information to all fellow travelers. The house is even better than the website photos and video. Rooms were all spacious with large closets. Living areas were amazing, providing space for the 8 people in our group to find quiet time and cozy corners. The washing machine and dryer were a total bonus for the clothes we played in each and every day on this beautiful island. While the house listing mentioned chairs and other such beach gear, we had no idea there would be enough for all of us to lounge on the beach with chairs and beach towels, boogie board and snorkel. The ice chest was used every day. There were other outdoor toys we did not even touch, but we felt so blessed by what we had available for use! The dining areas on the outdoor lanai and the inside dining room were perfect. There was plenty of room for all of us to eat in such comfort inside or outside. We are a family of cooks and the kitchen was greatly appreciated and well stocked. It was such a pleasure to have more than enough of everything…glasses, plates, cutlery. The stemless wine glasses were also appreciated. Instructions for the hot tub, which was thoroughly enjoyed, and other dos and donts were very clear. There was no lack of clarity as to what could and could not be done in the house. The house is located in a beautiful neighborhood in Princeville, where gorgeous albatross landed and took off from the back yard overlooking the beautiful Pacific Ocean surf. Neighbors we met were so kind, sharing nesting and historical albatross information with us - pointing out the babies. As we cooked our first meal, we noticed an issue with the dishwasher and called the local contact, Troy. Troy could not have been more prompt in getting to the house to fix the issue. He was kind and we enjoyed speaking with him - - we probably should have asked him to dinner! This was a very down to earth house in a beautiful location. There was really nothing fancy in the house - besides the beautiful view of paradise - yet it was well appointed and more than functional. It would be a pleasure to be able to return with our family to this lovely home for more celebration and family time on this garden island.

A beautiful home that was a great size for our family. The location is perfect with a wonderful view and great breezes off the ocean when sitting on the deck. Although there is a large split unit air conditioner, it doesn’t quite cool the whole house. The main bedroom upstairs was quite warm so we purchased an additional box fan which helped quite a bit. The beach that is below the house is pretty, but the hike down is a bit challenging as it requires hiking over rocks. There are other beaches near by to drive to and they were very nice! I would definitely recommend this home to others!

Great stay in Princeville

Overall, we had a great stay. The location is wonderful! The walk to secret beach from the backyard is amazing. The space was plenty big for our group of 10. Communication with the hosts was fantastic and they went out of their way to make our stay extremely pleasant. We would recommend this place in Princeville!

Family Time in Kauai

Everything at the property was just as it was described! My wife and I shared the house with our adult children plus one (we have no grandchildren). The house was in a good location for exploring the north side of Kauai. Everyone was comfortable in their spaces. The large kitchen was great for preparing meals together. It was a fantastic week and we hope to return again someday.

The house is fantastic and Rodney is a wonderful host. Our one wish was that there had been more to do within walking distance, but of course that is not something that anybody can change. We had a great experience overall.

50th anniversary family celebration

We chose this property for location, beauty, and space. It exceeded our expectations. This trip was a celebration of our 50th wedding anniversary and we wanted to bring our children and grandchildren together for some family bonding time. With 5 bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, a huge kitchen and ocean view, it was perfect. The path to the secret beach is a bit more difficult than I had hoped but the house is so close to other incredibly beautiful beaches that it didn't matter at all. We spent every day on one beach or another and enjoyed evening meals together on the spacious lanai. We stayed a week and no one wanted to leave. Our 7 year old granddaughter asked if we could buy the house and just stay there forever. We will cherish this memory and look forward to building on it.

Great house - great location

Our family of 10 had a wonderful stay at this house. It is in a quaint, quiet neighborhood with a grocery store, liquor store and gas station nearby. The house was great for the 3 families. Keep the bedroom doors open so the A/C can cook them off. Plenty of ceiling fans to keep the air moving. The beach is nice but the grandparents staying with us we’re not able to make the hike to it. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this house!
