Quiet location near downtown & quick drive to Iowa State campus. Host provided great communication & easy check in process. Unit was clean. Highly recommend!

Absolute gem of a short-term rental. Great location (so close to Iowa State and Historic downtown Ames). Excellent communication from host. Bed was cozy and comfy. Will absolutely stay here as my first choice when visiting Ames!

The location of the Foxden is perfect to shopping and close to the college in town. It was a wonderful place to stay my husband and I celebrated our anniversary and my birthday. There are steps, but not a lot and everything was just perfect. I can’t think of anything that was wrong with the property unless I could say that the groundhogs in the chipmunks and the deer didn’t come by often enough. I can’t wait to go back and stay at the property again.

I was looking for a calm, relaxing space to recenter, specifically with a hot tub and close to a state park. This place fot the bill perfectly. Check in was easy-peasy and the location was great. I walked less than a mile to main street where there are great options for food and drinks. The hot tub was absolutely sparkling clean and fresh and the communication with the host was perfect. I ended up at Ledges State Park early the next morning which was so peaceful and calm that early. The whole weekend was relaxing and exactly what I was looking for. Thank you so much for hosting me. I can't wait to come back!

Peaceful spot

Great spot in the back of the neighborhood. I stayed for the summer for lab work at Iowa State. Really great landing spot and would definitely recommend.

Perfect fit for me. Very clean. Great value. Just know going in, this is a small efficiency basement apartment, so low ceiling and occasionally footsteps above. Not sure what part of the house i was under, but not a problem for the few times i heard anything. Host was ready to please, would stay again. Bring all of your web TV sign ins like netflix, hulu ect.

The downtown area nearby was fun to explore and within easy walking distance. The room was nice and cold and clean. My only complaint is how easy it was to hear people moving around upstairs, and it made me nervous that they could hear every sound we made as well.
