We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this condo both before and after spending a week with family on Maui. The location is perfect for walking to beach parks and many favorite local eateries. We loved sitting on the second floor lanai in the morning with the view and all the bird activity. We had everything we needed, plus some complimentary food and toiletry items we really appreciated. We also appreciated the quiet location of the unit and the very comfortable bed. The pool here is beautiful! The hosts really extend their welcome and are extremely responsive to any questions. We would highly recommend them and their lovely condo.

The beach was just across the street. Food and shopping near by was great. The complex was quiet and clean room. Had a great time, next in Maui will have to stay again. It was perfect!

Great stay

Nice condo with a great location. The condo was well equipped, across the street from the beach, and within walking distance of restaurants.

Granddaughter graduation trip.

We loved the location, close to restaurants, and other sites. We loved that we could walk to the beach. Overall, it was a great vacation.

Have stayed in many Kihei Kai Nani condos and condos elsewhere. This was the best equipped condo I have ever been in. It had EVERYTHING one might need or want. It was clean, comfortable, great on-site owners in case there is an issue, great location. Highly, highly recommend this condo!

Great place!

Liz was great to deal with. She was responsive and wanted to make sure things were right with our stay. Quiet and an easy walk to the beach with dining next door as well. The pool was well kept. Watched sunset at the beach with the chairs from the room.

Quick walk to the beach! I loved having all the extras available (beach chairs, umbrella, and more) available to enjoy at the beach each day. Many shops and restaurants were within walking distance.

Great condo, great resort, great location

I don't know why this condo had a few bad reviews. It was clean, well equipped, well appointed, and the location was great ... 600 feet to the beach, half a dozen good restaurants within a five minute walk, good snorkeling at beach 2, better at beach 3. We'll be there again.

Great location, very clean

Nice and clean apartment in great location. All things one could want were here: towels, beach towels, umbrella and so on. Quiet at night but close to restaurants and very close to the beach. The pool was also nice and big. We stayed with our 6 month old and there was enough space for everyone. We would definitely consider coming back here if we come back to Maui.

The property was very comfortable for my party of two people. The walk to the beach was a short walk and easy. We had plenty of parking, so there were no problems there. Whether we decided to sit on the beach and swim or sit by the pool and swim it was very comfortable and quiet. The shops and restaurants on the street were very close and easy to walk to.

GREAT place!!

Great condo: quiet, set back away from the street (so we couldn’t hear street noise), but the complex is right across the street from a wonderful beach. The condo has everything, and is relaxed and spacious with good air conditioning. Comfortable bed. Very responsive and friendly hosts. So close to stores, beaches, restaurants, everything. This is a GREAT place, a great value, and exceeded our expectations. We recommend it! Thank you!!

Exactly as described

The property was exactly as described. They have tons of beach toys, snorkeling, chairs, umbrella, ice chest. It was super convenient.

Great stay.

The property and location were great. The owners were too. I had one issue. I was there for work and needed to iron a shirt. I was able to use the iron but it was leaking water and needed to be replaced. I texted the owners and they offered to run another right over. I didn’t need it but wanted to let them know it was shot. Liz and Chuck were awesome!

We would definitely book this property again. My wife and I have stayed at 4 different condos in Maui, this one shines. Only critique- Didn’t appreciate the checking out rules saying do all your dishes. That’s why we pay a cleaning fee. Further more, having guests clean dishes etc. there is no quality control. I guess we are just to assume everyone cleaning up after themselves does a basic standard quality job. Other than that critique- 5 stars…

Home away from Home

We stayed at Kihei Kai Nani # 252 10/3-10/12/18. It is in the perfect location. By car you are not far from all things to do and see on the island of Maui. You are also within walking distance to many shops and restaurants as well as beaches. The condo was clean and had everything you needed for your stay. We did find it to be a bit warm at night sleeping. The air conditioner is at one end of the condo in the living room and the bedroom is at the other end. There is a ceiling fan over the bed and a floor fan. Eventually we got used to it and it was fine. It definitely was better than opening the windows. If we ever make it back to Maui we would not hesitate to stay here again.

We understand your comment about the A/C not being in the bedroom, however, unfortunately this resort does not have central air and condo rules prohibit locating the window air conditioner in the bedroom (a noise abatement issue for neighboring guests who would be sleeping in their bedrooms). Therefore, the best that can be done is locating the A/C in the living area and using the fans (ceiling and floor as needed). Usually this is enough to make for a comfortable bedroom. We are glad to hear that in your case it was. We will look forward to hosting you again on your next Maui visit!! Aloha!!

Undisclosed Air Conditioning Fee

I cannot express how astonished and disappointed we were upon viewing our invoice and finding an undisclosed 50 fee for air conditioning use. It took us two days to figure out how to use the air conditioning unit and then it was only operated while we were present in the unit, which was not very often. We feel lied to and scammed and would never recommend this property to anyone. We respectfully request a refund of that ridiculous unfounded AC fee!!

Robert, this review makes us very sad. We work very hard to make sure that the condo is maintained and updated to meet a variety of guest needs, in order to ensure that they have a great time when they visit Maui. This is truly our goal and it is difficult and requires constant attention. In fact this is why we specifically ask our guests in our instructions, e-mails & messages to contact us with any concerns or problems. We live on the premises (almost right under the condo you were in), you could have stopped by and discussed this concern or texted or called or messaged in the system. You did none of these. So we found out after you departed that your trip to Maui was not all it could have been because of this minor A/C fee and this is very saddening to us. There are many things that we offer for free to make guest visits enjoyable including, parking, snorkeling gear, beach chairs, boogie boards, umbrellas, coffee/tea, coolers, snacks. By the way, the A/C fee is itemized in the VRBO listing (it is not undisclosed) and it is optional (one can opt out of having AC – February is not a hot month, even on Maui – A/C is very optional at that time). Unfortunately, now it is too late to rectify the situation or to reverse this very negative review. ☹

Went to Costco before checking in, didn’t need to. So many amenities in the unit, especially foodstuffs. Comfortable and clean. Right across from the beach and near shops and restaurants.
