TERRIBLE!! AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!! Let me start off by saying as a business owner, I never leave negative reviews. I'm very easy going and it takes a lot for me to write this kind of review. This "Penthouse" was by far the worst "vacation rental" I've ever seen. The smell of mildew/mold hits you like a ton of bricks when you walk in. Walls cracked, entire unit looks like as though it was just vacated by squatters and never cleaned. The fridge was disgusting. This place appears as though they want you to immediately want to leave when you arrive. I called the host within 5 minutes of being there and he said no worries it's early if I leave by 6pm (got there a little before 5pm) I would get a full refund. Once I left he messaged me that due to the disclosed non-refundable policy I would get nothing back. Around 8pm after I read the message and was having trouble finding another place last second, he ignored me and I couldn't return. Even though I would rather sleep on the street than at this disgusting rental, I realized at the moment they bank on this type of scam. Disputing with my credit card company.

The property was professionally cleaned and inspected prior to your arrival, and we have no prior or subsequent complaints regarding mold, mildew, or cleanliness. If there had been a verified habitability issue, we would have immediately addressed it or relocated you. Regarding the refund: the reservation was booked under a clearly disclosed non-refundable policy, which was acknowledged at the time of booking. As a courtesy—not an obligation—we informed you that if the unit was vacated immediately and before the check-in window progressed, we would review the situation. However, once the stay had commenced and the property was held off-market for the night, the policy applied as stated. We absolutely understand the frustration of last-minute travel challenges, but we do not operate scams, nor do we benefit from guest dissatisfaction. Our goal is always a smooth, fair experience for both parties, and we stand by our listing details, policies, and communication history. We wish you the best in resolving this matter and hope your future travels are more enjoyable. — Host Management Team
