Guy and Trey are the perfect hosts. The loft unit was so comfortable and being in such a beautiful jungle forest setting is magical.

Beautiful setting. Unit was well laid out and equipped. We were expecting a little quieter surroundings as far as the whole property goes, but had a lovely time. The water fall is worth the journey! Guy was so helpful with info and assistance.

Our host, Guy was very welcoming! He gave us some tips on places to go. The studio had everything we needed for our 17 day stay and was close to Hilo.

Host was very nice. Place was very clean. It was an apartment in a private home with other apartments also. You could hear noise from the adjacent ones. It was a very good price for the location.

My sister and I stayed here while attending the Merrie Monarch festival. The location was a perfect 6 minutes away.We arrived in the rain.We appreciated the garage as we could unload in a dry area, and the covered lanai where we could sit outside and enjoy the landscape even if it was raining.The studio was well equipped. Our host, Guy, was welcoming, kind and helpful.The layout of the studio was well thought out, comfortable and quiet.We truly enjoyed our visit and look forward to booking there again!

The hosts were very communicative and informative. The apartment/suite adjacent to the family/other guests common area lanai is clean and well stocked with an abundance, of appliances, utensils, beach gear and lots of water in the fridge. The suite is in the hosts home, and as in any home, there is much going on, children at play in the yard off the suites private lanai and upstairs, and household chores going on, so keep that in mind. We didn't use the sauna or the hot tub, but those amenities are there. Unfortunately the path to the swimming gorge, was very steep and dangerous while we were there and there were big wild pigs in the path. (Wild pigs are typical in rural areas of Hawaii fyi) My husband went down the path. He wouldn't let me go down there. We did not spend much time at the apartment. We cooked a few meals and did our laundry. We went snorkeling and adventuring and found a place we could swim in a waterfall safely.

The location, hosts and amenities stood out. This was a very clean place just 15 minutes from the Hilo airport and super convenient to so many things. The hosts were great even having a gathering for their guests with light fare and caroling on Christmas Eve. Additionally, they have about everything you might need and not want to bring from folding chairs to watch the stars, snorkeling stuff, bikes, and so much more. The laundry was great to have as well as the peaceful surroundings. Thank you!

Nice place overall. You get your own patio, small kitchen. Shared use of sauna. Waterfall/swimming hole. Comfy couch and bed. Some cups were stained, no big deal. Very secluded for a relaxing vacation

Lush and Tropical Property

The location is conveniently located near downtown Hilo and beautiful beaches. For lap swimming go to Carl Smith. The property is a lush tropical hideaway.

Very clean and comfortable!

Was great to have a full size fridge and stove as we prepare our own meals. Microwave and laundry facilities were a bonus. The bed was very comfy and cleanliness is a must with me and I was not let down. Also nice to be just out of town away from the traffic and noise. Definitely will be my go to stay the next time visiting.

Nice location, good quality accommodations.

This was a great visit while my home here was tented for termites. We would stay here again or suggest it for friends that visit. Thanks to the owners and cleaner for providing my wife, our cat and me such a nice three days !

Clean & comfortable

I travel for work and like to stay in places with kitchens. This place was great. It was clean, safe and comfortable. There was covered parking which was helpful on rainy days. There was a window a/c unit that I barely used because it was cool most days and nights. I loved being able to cook instead of having to eat out all the time. I also loved having a laundry facility on site. Guy is a wonderful host, and he checked in on me intermittently to make sure everything was ok.

What a Delicious place to stay in Hilo!

This studio is just right, perfect, pick your own words. It is comfy, airy, large. The yard is a gorgeous garden. You have access to washer/dryer , SAUNA ! If you are a Sauna user like we are, this one is right on the money as far as time and temp to heat. I would highly recommend this place to a couple or even 4. We had a friend stay one night and we were all comfortable. When we go back to Hilo, OUR HILO HOME will be our place.

Aloha Delight!

This home is convenient and beautiful inside and out! The beds are comfortable, so we slept great and awoke refreshed! Internet worked great. We didn't stay long enough to cook in, but there's a full size refrigerator and all the necessary appliances to bring home delicious ingredients from the Hilo Farmer's Market and create a feast of your own. The location is just outside of Hilo and it was nice to get out of town to relax. But it's still super easy to hop on Hwy 19 to head North toward Wailea and just as easy to head South on 19 toward Hwy 11 to Volcanoes National Park. The onsite property manager is very kind as well! The singing frogs are an added bonus! We will be back.........and hopefully sooner than later! Mahalo for opening up your Hilo Home and Aloha until next time!

This was worst VRBO guest experience we‘ve ever had, would definitely not reccomend to other hosts The guests checked in, stsyed the noght then the next day, knowIng i wasn’t there (I was in flight home from tHe mainland) claimed the unit smelked of Urine (It dId not, i had several neighbors go check & verified that it was perfectly fine), they left, demanding a full Refund & that i had to cancel from my end which also got me blocked ftom vRbo for 9 days or more for canceking. What a scam they pulled
