Welcome to Serenity!

Serenity is a quaint cabin on Appalachian Ski Mountain in Blowing Rock with stunning year-round mountain views. Enjoy feeling sheltered and tucked away yet just minutes away from many of the High Country's main attractions. Less than 10 minutes from the cabin are Appalachian Ski Resort (1.4 miles), access to the Blue Ridge Parkway (1.7 miles), Shoppes on the Parkway (2.4 miles), Sky Valley Zip Lines (2.9 miles), Downtown Blowing Rock (3.2 miles), Tweetsie Railroad (4.7 miles), The Gamekeeper Restaurant-rated a top 10 restaurant on the East Coast (6.8 miles), and Kid Brewer Stadium (8.2 miles).

The main level living room boasts a wall of windows revealing the mountains and long-range views, with leather furniture around a stone wood-burning fireplace and a large mounted TV above the mantel. Wood floors and unique tongue-and-groove cathedral ceilings provide a warm, spacious environment. The dining room, adjacent to the living room, has a lovely round table with seating for four. The main level deck includes a swinging bench, wooden seating, and an outdoor dining table with a gas grill and mountain backdrop.

The main floor master bedroom has a king bed, a walk-in closet, and an ensuite bathroom with a jetted tub and step-in glass door shower. The separate water closet in the master bathroom also opens to the kitchen. Downstairs is a second living area with a TV, an L-shaped sectional leather couch, one side of which folds out to a sleeper, and a Ms. Pac-Man arcade-style video game. The second bedroom is off this room, featuring a Queen bed. A full bathroom is off the living area with access from the bedroom. Guests can enjoy a soak in the hot tub on the lower level deck.

Serenity has central heat and air, a washer and dryer, Wi-Fi, and Smart Roku TVs for streaming from your accounts. Serenity is not pet-friendly; thank you for not bringing pets to this cabin. Access is by a steep paved driveway with limited parking. 4WD or AWD are required for winter travelers, and tire chains may be needed in the event of winter weather.

This cozy cabin was only a 9 min drive to the beautiful downtown of Blowing Rock. The house was nicely stocked with plenty of the kitchen basics. There is a drip coffee pot (Not a Keurig). Separate towels for the hot tub were provided. Hair dryers are in each bathroom. Bar soap is the bathroom, if you prefer liquid hand soap you will need to bring your own.The morning sunrise view from the top deck was beautiful but this deck gets full sun quickly and even with sunglasses was a little to bright to enjoy coffee. Afternoons/night time on the upper deck was ideal. Master king bed was comfy and the Smart Tv's in the living rooms and bedrooms was nice. We were on a kid free getaway for the weekend, but there were board games and cards making it nice for families. Overall this was a great stay and the cabin was nice, the cleaning left a little to be desired. There were some noticeable cobwebs and dusty areas throughout the house, we had to unload a full dishwasher of clean dishes before we could use it and there was also bedding left in the dryer that had to be folded before we could use it.Check out instructions were clear and simple which was appreciated but adding where to place used/dirty towels and linens may be helpful to future renters.

Blowing Rock

Cabin is fantastic, driveway curves a bit surprising at first but you get used to it. Perfect location to Blowing Rock, Boone, Grandfather Mountain.

5 Star stay in the Mountains

Our stay was great, all the instructions/info was accurate and detailed, but not over the top. Hot tub was great, snowed during our stay, we loved it! Location was perfect - do have a 4x4 and consider snow chains if snow/ice is possible during your stay.

Perfect!

Cabin had everything we needed, loved the floor plan! Would definitely recommend and would definitely return! Close to downtown blowing rock (less than 10 minutes away). Perfect mountain getaway!

Beautiful property! Fantastic views and nice interior. Our issue was with the VRBO host, NOT the homeowner. Prior to arrival asked if DVD player was there as advertised. Got there. No player. Working on our sons wedding. After some texts they sent out a tech to bring the player. An inconvenience. Asked for early check in (75 for 3 hours). Asked for 1 hour early check out (25). Seriously? Have some shred of understanding please. 1 hour? Propane grill dirty and flaring. Interior of grill not cleaned out in some time. Toaster filthy. Again I dont see this as the owners fault but instead the rental agency. Additional fees ridiculous (VRBO)- I'd expect more.
