Three floors up, the whole top of a restored 1890s house is yours. Four bedrooms, two full baths, a proper kitchen and laundry — eight people, and nobody sleeps on a couch or waits for a shower. Step out onto the deck for the best view in downtown Sandusky: rooftops, the water, and the sun going down over Lake Erie. Restaurants and bars are a walk away. Cedar Point, the Jet Express and Cedar Point Sports Center are all a few minutes out, with parking right here at the house.
The Lookout is the entire third floor. Nobody above you, nobody through the wall, and your own keypad entry — you never touch a lobby or a front desk.
Four bedrooms: three with queen beds and one with two twins. Two full bathrooms, which for a group of eight is the difference between a relaxed morning and a queue at the door.
The kitchen is built for real cooking — range, oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, cookware and dishes for everyone. There's a dining table that seats the whole group, and a living room with a smart TV for whoever isn't out on the deck.
The deck is where people end up. Coffee in the morning, a drink in the evening, and a view down over the rooftops to the water.
In-unit washer and dryer, so a four-night trip doesn't mean four days of packing. Air conditioning, room-darkening shades and fast wifi throughout.
The neighborhood. You're in the middle of downtown Sandusky, inside the D.O.R.A. district — grab a drink to go and walk it down to the waterfront. Restaurants, bars and shops are on foot, and Shoreline Park and Jackson Street Pier are a few blocks away.

Getting up here. The Lookout earns its name honestly: it's the third floor of a historic building and there's no elevator. We have suites on lower floors if someone in your group would rather skip the stairs — just ask.
Need more room? The Washington has eight suites in all: twelve bedrooms, ten bathrooms, and we rent the whole house for groups up to thirty. Message us if The Lookout isn't big enough.
