This house was great for our family of four. I would give it five stars, but the constant texts asking me to give the house 5 stars was a bit ridiculous. I understand wanting to get feedback about the house; I just didn't appreciate the spamming.

Wonderful stay in Waves!

"In Spite of Ourselves" was the perfect home for our spring break getaway. It was super clean, well appointed and comfortable for our family. They thought of just about everything, so we were able to just relax and enjoy our stay. The area itself was quiet and away from the touristy areas, which we prefer. It was a nice halfway point between Nags Head and Ocracoke. Everywhere we wanted to visit was within a half hour drive. The beach was a quick and easy 5 minute walk down the street. We had a fabulous time and would definitely recommend this home.

Very nice home but had an issue with the rental company

Beautiful and comfortable home, equipped with all the comforts to make a wonderful and memorable vacation with the family. My only complaint lies with the surf or sound rental company. Shortly after we arrived (Sunday, August 18), we discovered that the plumbing under the kitchen sink had a significant leak due to loose plumbing. On Monday morning (August 19), I contacted the property manager and she did send maintenance out, they were unable to fix the issue, stating that an actual plumber was needed and that they would send one. No one came. The next morning on Tuesday (August 19), I again contacted the property manager who stated she would look into it but I then never heard back, nor did a plumber ever come to repair the issue, therefore causing us to transport dishes back and forth between the kitchen and the small bathroom sink, in order to wash them for the rest of our vacation. While we enjoyed our stay at this property, I would not stay due to the poor customer service from the rental company.
