Annual Berkshire family week

Beautiful place for our annual trip. A bit more remote than we typically experience- great hiking and the Hillsdale Farmers market was the best we ever experienced- but a little west of where we typically stay.

Charming Berkshire Getaway

We had a lovely stay in the Berkshires! The home is charming, well stocked with everything you need, and very clean. We definitely recommend this property!

Beautiful house and grounds

Property was beautiful, house was lovely and fully furnished with cooking basics and tools, games for kids, etc. Grounds were great and there was lots to do inside and outside. And amazing hiking just a few minutes away. Couldn't recommend more!!

Beautiful ski getaway in the Berkshires!

Our family of 4 really enjoyed staying in this cozy, comfortable and beautifully-decorated farmhouse. Communication with the owners was easy and they had lots of great tips for enjoying the area, and the house had all of the essentials needed for a great weekend away. We’d intended to ski at nearby Catamount or Butternut but didn't manage to book lessons in time (lesson learned: book early for holiday weekends!), but Jiminy Peak was a great alternative an easy day trip further north. We’d happily return here!

A New View of Life ;-]

Excellent in all aspects: beauty, true to description, fun, spacious, OLD, easy.Group was 2 sisters (70s), niece and her wife (30s)--after older sister and hubbie opted out due to nasty bronchitis.Great laid-back days in a beautiful place. 10 stars

A Gathering Place

Maison Berkshires was the most perfect gathering place for this group of 7 friends and 1 fury companion. Time was spent cooking and enjoying our time around the wonderful dining room table or talking late into the night in the living room while we sipped on wine and cocktails. We were blessed with a beautiful snow fall that allowed us to bask in the beauty of this part of Massachusetts in the winter time. Because of the weather we had to cancel a dinner at Prairie Whale, one of favs in Great Barrington. Still all of us were just as happy to stay warm in our comfy clothes and enjoy extra time in this awesome farm house, with wonderful hosts in Augustin and Michelle. Can’t wait to do it again!!! A group of friends from NY, MA and. CT.

Our stay in Mount Washington

We had a wonderful time at Augustin’s property. The house is definitely old but meticulously maintained and updated with an amazing kitchen (and everything you might need) and very comfortable beds. The game room barn was a fun escape for the kids (and us) while not having to leave the property. Augustin left us with plenty of firewood and fire starters to make a bon fire (and s’mores, which the kids loved). There was also a swing my 2 year old was obsessed with and toys both upstairs and down. You may want to note there is only a small TV in the kids playroom upstairs, so no movie nights for the adults - but that was fine as we ended up playing games and talking more than we do at home! We went skiing at catamount (15 mins) and hiking at Bish Bash falls (5mins). Augustin was easy to communicate with and even gave us early check in and late check out. 5 stars!

Gorgeous house, lovely and responsive hosts

We stayed over the Christmas to New Years period and it was a white Christmas! The woods were so pretty with the snow (you cannot see another house from the house!) and the roads were plowed really promptly after it snowed. It was also 5 degrees outside but you could not tell from inside because the heat kept us toasty warm. We had a mix of kids and adults and everyone had a great time. The adults loved the well-equipped kitchen with 6 burner stove and large dining table that fit everyone for fun group meals, the comfortable hang out space in the living room including the "puzzle table" (note there is no tv in the living room, which was perfect for us because we wanted to be screen-free) and comfortable beds. The kids loved the swing, the woods, and the play tent in the kids play area. Everyone loved the barn with ping pong and the fire pit which we got to use once it warmed up a bit. The hosts were very kind and responsive. The house is well situated near Great Barrington and the other Berkshire towns, which are lovely. We did the Guilder Pond hike which was well worth it---lots of great views even in the winter. It's a beautiful house with lots of original charm. A lovely stay all around---thank you Augustin! We'll be back!
