Fantastic location

You just can't beat the location! Great wildlife surrounds the place. The condo needs some maintenance and cleaning attention but otherwise a perfect stay.

Great place near the beach

We have been coming to Kiawah for years and have rented many places on the island. This 3 bedroom unit has three individual suites each with a bathroom which works really well with our two married children and ourselves. The proximity to the beach is excellent and the alligators in the lagoon below our deck were most entertaining!

Beautiful Condo

We come to Kiawah at least once a year and this is one of my favorite rentals that we have stayed at. 6 adults were in our group and there was more than enough room for all of us. The kitchen was well stocked and the condo was conveniently located. I would definitely book again!

Park Lake

Home was pristine clean and updated furnishings were very tasteful. The screen porch and the dock were wonderful areas for relaxation and contemplation. The area of the lagoon was so peaceful. This is a 5 Star property

Great Time had by all.

We had a lovely stay in Kiawah and the unit was perfect for our needs. 2 Adults, 2 kids (19 +15). Everyone had more than enough space, their own bathroom, and we took advantage of the screened in porch on the second level and the deck over the lagoon. The unit was clean and the gear rental company delivered and picked up our bikes, beach chairs and umbrella in accordance with the expected timeline. Getting into the unit was a breeze and our communication with the rental company was easily handled all online. We would definitely stay there again.

Very Nice Rental

The bathrooms were very nice. Akers Ellis was a great company to rent through. The credit for beach equipment was bike was a great bonus. It was very easy to use the credit via the online website. The bikes and beach chairs were ready when we arrived. I am glad we picked the East Beach location since the it was more quiet.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have stayed here before and like the unit overall. However, the mattresses are quite tired and need replacing. My back hurt all week! Also, the bed linens need updating. This is a resort location. The linens should reflect this. They were stained. The blinds in the master bedroom are broken so we could not raise them to enjoy the view. I would recommend removing the bulky tv cabinet and dresser, turn the bed to face the water, mount lamps on wall for reading and mount tv on wall with movable arm. also put a loveseat at foot of bed to sit and enjoy the view. With multiple family members it is nice to be able to retreat to room for privacy, but with the current conditions the room is useless.

We are truly sorry to hear of cleanliness issues during your stay, as it does not appear that these were reported during your conversations with our team members. I see that our team did promptly stop by to address the issue with the toilet whereas the chain was simply twisted and it was fixed very quickly. Additionally, we did reach out when we discovered the construction happening in the building and provided the option to stay or move to a different unit. I do see that it was your party's decision to stay as which point compensation was provided for the incvonience. We hope that you were able to enjoy your weekend on the island otherwise!

Wonderful….but

Wonderful condo in a great location with a gorgeous view. Beautiful, quick walk to the beach including a bridge walk over the lagoon. Our family loved sitting on the deck and the dock watching the alligators and birds. Only complaints were the beds were very firm and the pillows were very flat and we saw cockroaches on multiple occasions in the foyer and kitchen floor.

Thank you for your feedback and for letting us know! After reviewing the property, I don't see that we have had other complaints about the mattress. However, this has been noted with our property management team to take a look at and address if they feel needed. We have also passed your comments regarding the pests. Being a coastal wooded area, every home will see one here and there. However, we have noted this with the regime to ensure appropriate pest treatments are scheduled.

Perfect in every way

Loved the location with the animal life right out the back patio and deck. Shirt bike ride to the beach. House was spotless and well equipped and downstairs bedroom was ideal for my teenage son to have his own space as well as the adults!

2022 Spring Break

As always, it's a pleasure to be visiting Kiawah. Our rental home was lovely... with a quiet, private rear side. Recommendation- a full length mirror would be appreciated by the ladies!

one of the most relaxing vacations!

The house was as expected, comfy and inviting. Management was very accommodating, allowing early check in as well as a later check out. The trip was a success!

Biking and beach fun!

Two couples had a relaxing Labor Day week on this beautiful island resort of Kiawah Island, SC. There were plenty of activities and places to see including riding the beach and trails to some of the most prestigious golf resorts in the nation. A highlight was viewing the dolphin stranding at Captain SAM Spit at low tide unique to Kiawah Island. Dining was a pleasure at numerous clubhouse restaurants. A short trip to Charleston allowed for a plantation visit (Magnolia Plantation) and an Old South Carriage ride where we learned much about the rich Civil War history of this southern city. We loved our vacation and Villa.

We love Kiawah...but we won’t be back to this rental

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: First let me say we love Kiawah!! We are regular vacationers to the island and have stayed in various townhomes/house rentals. This wasn’t our favorite. I’ll start with the good.Pros: location...close to the beach, night heron, and great view of the lagoon. The size was ideal for our family of 6. Loved that every room had its own bathroom (but they didn’t all work). Liked that we ahead our own bike storage in the front. The size of the kitchen was great! The screened in porch was lovely for meals and overall relaxing.Cons: The unit was not clean. We found mold in the bathrooms, the kitchen sink, my daughter found a toenail clipping in her bed, lots of debris on the floor it didn’t even look vacuumed. The beds were extremely uncomfortable. We actually wanted to stay longer, but my back couldn’t take another night. Mattresses were so firm. Shower issues happen in the two secondary bathrooms days into our rental and everyone ended up using the master bathroom. One shower would not maintain hot water and the downstairs shower toggle to switch from bath to shower broke. The kitchen was large but some of the supplies were lacking. The knife set was extremely dull, no scissors...we prefer to cook instead of going out because we have little ones. We contacted Akers Ellis weeks before our visit asking about the width of the top of the stairs so we could bring a baby gate that would work, but they never got us the information. We still had a great vacation...first trip post Covid and it was desperately needed! We just wouldn’t stay in this unit again, but will definitely be back to Kiawah!

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear of your dissatisfaction with the property and would like to offer our apologies for not getting back to you regarding the width of the stairs. We pride ourselves on the quality we are able to offer consistently to our guests, and this is certainly not how we wish to present ourselves. That said, we do make every effort to provide a prompt solution to any issues that arise (cleanliness, maintenance or otherwise). Unfortunately, it does not appear that we were made aware of any issues during your stay, and thus was not able to have the unit recleaned, look into the issues with the bathrooms/showers or bring any supplies that may have been lacking in the kitchen. I am pleased to advise that we have not had similar issues reported from guests who have stayed since, and hope that this means it was an isolated occurrence. However, to ensure that each issue has indeed been addressed or remedied itself, I have passed your comments along to our team to investigate and address accordingly. We hope you were able to thoroughly enjoy your time on the island despite these issues.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We've been vacationing on Kiawah for close to 30 years. This was our first time staying at 4586 Parkside. We've come to prefer the East Beach area over the years, and were intrigued by the design of the Parkside Villas, as they have deck/piers and pond views. The home itself is very nice. The layout worked well for us with an en-suite bedroom on the entry level, and two bedrooms, kitchen, dining room, living room, and screened porch one flight up. The home is comfortably furnished, and the kitchen well-stocked. The view to the rear of the home is very serene, and we enjoyed spending time on the deck/pier taking in the wildlife. My only criticisms of the property is that the master bedroom has such a great view of the pond, but the window seal in that room is broken, and the window is so fogged on the interior that you can barely get a view. The other dissatisfaction was that the pillows were a bit cheap. I wish I had brought my own. Otherwise, we had a great stay, and would consider this location again.... hopefully with the window replaced and some better quality pillows!
