The only establishment in Glacier National Park providing 5 star accommodations. Apgar Lookout Retreat is 500 feet from the shores of Lake Mcdonald and 1/4 mile from Going-to-the-Sun Highway. It is the perfect location for sight-seeing and recreating in Glacier National Park.

**Flathead Outdoors is available on-site for E-Bike, kayak and paddleboard rentals. Please visit their website at www.flatheadoutdoors.com to make reservations or see what they have available.**

** Starting in 2024, guests that have Lodging reservations in Apgar Village, will no longer have access to the Going-to-the-Sun Highway. In order to access Going-to-the-Sun Highway, you must purchase a vehicle reservation through recreation.gov for Glacier National Park.

Exceptional! The Ritz in Glacier Park!

Absolutely first class accommodations , practically brand new, in one of the most beautiful places on earth. The apartments are in the Park and overlook Lake McDonald a mere hundred yards away. You will not find a better location or more luxurious furnishings. The management people are just downstairs and helped with everything from hiking trails to restaurants. Thanks Barbara and Kip! We will be back.

Cozy suite in perfect location

We loved the conveniences of laundry onsite plus Eddie's cafe downstairs. Suite was beautifully decorated. Leather recliners and Pendleton bedding wereextra nice touches.

A true hidden gem in Glacier

The Apgar Lookout Retreat was an amazing find! The location of this property cannot be beat. Having access to a washer and dryer was also so helpful after many days of hiking. The rental is well appointed and has a wonderful view of Lake McDonald off the balcony. It also has a dedicated parking space behind Eddie’s Cafe which is a luxury in Apgar Village. The check-in process could be easier. You have to go into the restaurant and speak with the manager who will show you to your unit. Everyone was very friendly, but we would have appreciated self-check in as it was very busy in the restaurant. Otherwise, this is a wonderful place to stay and I highly recommend it to everyone staying in West Glacier!

Apgar Lookout Retreat

Was a beautiful place to stay. Very clean. I wish we would have had more time to stay there. We were there for a wedding so we did not use the room as much as we would have liked. The only negative was that the password we were given for the wi-fi did not work.

Perfect location

We really enjoyed our stay! Location made experiencing Glacier so easy plus we were right by a beautiful sunset & sunrise location. It was just like the description. Only suggestions; provide check in information and better directions because it was challenging to find & figure out how to check in.

Beautiful place to stay at Lake McDonald

These newly renovated apartments are beautiful and definitely luxurious compared to other options inside the park. Kitchen is well appointed so you can cook in your meals and easily pack lunches for the days on the trails. Views of lake McDonald from the porch. Very easy check in process and if you forgot anything you can pick up Supplies right below you and Eddies cafe.

Amazing place

The location can’t be beat. You’ve got one of the best accommodations in Apgar, the showers are awesome, the washer and dryer made getting clothes clean after an intense hike a breeze, the kitchen was everything I wanted, and you even get a balcony. This will be our regular spot when we go to glacier from here on.

West Glacier Vacation

The amenities are exceptional here at Apgar Village Resort. They held nothing back on the high end finishes. We truly had a wonderful stay and plan to come back!

Nice but loud

A huge issue with this unit was the multiple (8-10) very large industrial fans that service a restaurant directly below the suite (specifically this one). They are extremely loud at times creating a constant buzzing noise in the room. They were so loud at time it gave me headaches. The only time the fans shut off is when the restaurant is not open. I feel like for the price, which is a lot, the fans and the noise should be disclosed. .

Family of 3 loved it

Great location. We’re a little worried when we pulled in as it was right above the restaurant and ice cream shop. While that was busy during the day, everyone was gone and it was very quiet by 8 PM.
