Fantastic property, very nice spaces inside and outside, great barbecues watching the sunset from the terrace. Our family loved the lawn, the kayaks, the pier and fishing from there! Becca is a spectacular host and all the instructions were very clear.

Becca was incredible and went above and beyond providing ideas on things to do. The home was perfect and relaxing with a gorgeous sunrise each morning

Lovely Home on the Lake

Home is very clean and nicer than what I expected from the description and pictures. If in the area again, i would stay here. It is a lovely home located in a beautiful setting.

Family time!

Yearly family vacation we enjoyed fishing, kayaking, bomb fires with smores. We had fun on the paddle boat and just relaxing on the deck!! Beautiful house! Town (Newaygo) was a short trip and had everything we needed!

Great renter!

Great communication, and pricing. The yard is perfect for lawn games. The bonfire pit being so close to the water is another nice touch. The pontoon was really nice as well.

This is not a cottage; it is a beautiful house on a large lake with a perfect view and lot. The beds were very comfortable, many areas in and out to relax, fully stocked and very clean. The pontoon boat was an added bonus (for extra money) and the swimming area is convenient. Although we did not have a large group and only stayed for two nights, if you had a large group for a longer stay, this is one of the few rentals that are actually fit for multiples with plenty of seating, beds, plates, glasses, silverware, etc. to handle a large family. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and communication with the host was excellent.

Beautiful retreat!

We loved this gorgeous home and property! House is right on the water with a wonderful dock for kids to jump off of, fish from, and enjoy the beautiful views while eating their s’mores. Location is great, with a well-stocked grocery store a few minutes away. Host was excellent to work with. The interior and exterior of this home are pristine. We hope to be back!

House with a Boat

Our super host Rebecca was a joy to work with if she was a rockstar her album would have went double Platinum, the easiest and most responsive communication I've ever had with a VRBO host. The house was well appointed had everything you could possibly need for your stay and then some we also had use of the boat and had a great time on the water. I recommend anybody who's looking for fun on the lake to check out this place.

Beautiful Lake

Nice property. Could have been a little cleaner. Outside grill was shooting flames after we had turned it off....so we believe that also could use a good cleaning. Quiet area. Everything was convenient to our location.

Thanks for the review and for taking great care of the place while you were there. We looked at the grill, gave it a good scrubbing, and replaced part of the flame deflector so it should be a lot better and cleaner going forward. Happy to host you again any time. Great lake property

Clean and spacious. Lots of games and things to do both inside and outside. It would have been nice to have a queen sized bed downstairs but we managed. Both bathrooms were clean and large and nice towels. Kitchen is very well stocked with extra things. Would definitely book again. Owner responded immediately to questions Thanks

P.S. we have been tossing around the idea of adding a bedroom or two upstairs and switching beds around (king in mbr, queen downstairs, full in new room, and bunk bed in new room). We had an amazing stay at this home on Hess Lake! The house was super clean, the lake was gorgeous, and renting the boat made it even more fun. The host was fantastic—quick to respond and so easy to work with. Definitely a 5-star experience!A stones throw from Smugglers's, which is one of the best lakeside bar/restaurants I've seen. For anyone who loves to cook, just a heads up that the kitchen has the basics but not a lot of extras—so you may want to bring your favorite pans or cooking. utensils.We’d absolutely stay here again!
