Tremendous location - with easy access to the lake. We went with a couple of other families and had tons of space. The dock, hot tub, and games room provided lots of different fun activities. Highly recommended!

We booked this home to celebrate my mom's bithday (which happened to also be USA's 250th birthday, July 4th). The home was excellent, exactly as shown. The property was great and very well maintained. It was too hot to use the hot tub, so most of our swimming was at the lake. The beach was lovely to have since we have a 5-yo who isn't thrilled about jumping off things into water (and cant really swim yet) - she absolutely loved being able to walk in and out of the water. We also kayak/paddleboard, so it was very easy to launch. All in all, the home was very comfortable and the property was lovely! Would definitely book again and recommend to families!

We had a great stay. The game room was amazing and the beach area was fantastic. The house was a perfect fit for our gathering

House was clean, yard was not. We had to rake leaves to access the beach. Hot tub was dirty. Contacted her about hot tub and she had someone come out immediately.

Wonderful stay

Everyone thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the house and lake. House was very clean and tidy. Communication was great and they responded quickly. It was so nice drinking coffee on the dock and had a fire on the beach. Would highly recommend this place and would stay again

Gorgeous Views + Perfect Family Getaway

We stayed here for Memorial Day weekend and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The house is located on a great area of the lake. We had gorgeous lake views from the house and even better view from the private dock area. The house was clean, easy to access and my kids had a great time in the game room. I highly recommend staying here!

As advertised

Great game room and overall plenty of room for our family and friends. Property owner was very accommodating and even checked in on us throughout our stay to make sure we had everything we needed. We will definitely stay here again.

The home was clean, spacious, bright, and conveniently close to shopping. The firepit by the lake was a fantastic feature that made for cozy evenings filled with s’mores and great conversation. Having our dogs with us was such a special part of the trip, and the small beach right on the lake made it easy for them to splash around and enjoy the water. The owner was extremely responsive and helpful with any questions we had. It was a wonderful vacation for the whole family, and we’d absolutely book this place again.

Perfect Lakefront Getaway

The home was spotless and offered more than enough space for 8 adults to coexist for a few days. The view was stunning, the game room was a blast, and the hot tub was clean and relaxing. Joanne was easy to communicate with and very accommodating. I couldn't recommend this home enough, and we hope to stay there again at some point.

Great house for a family getaway

The house was in a great location and was just as advertised. The game room was a huge hit with the teenagers in our family. The house is in a great spot on the lake and close to the marinas and lakeside restaurants. The host was very communicative and helpful and was quick to return an item that we had left behind.

Dream Catcher

The house has so much to entertain everyone in the family. Game room and hot tub were the biggest hits. Communication with property manager was easy and quick and friendly. Would definitely recommend.

Great Lake house!

Loved the location on the lake, and the sandy beach was great for the kids and the dog! We spent each night down at the fire pit by the water, which was so peaceful! The neighborhood was great for walking, and we had so much fun in the game room!! The host was super responsive and accommodating, and answered our questions immediately. The house is a bit dated, but goes with the house in the woods look. The layout of the living room and kitchen on the main level allowed for two families to hang out in comfort, and we liked the fireplace too. I would recommend staying here for families and dogs!

Lake Views

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The location was lovely and the weather cooperated nicely.The host was very responsive and helpful. Some outside lights were out which didn't allow for outdoor dining at night. Also, the utility room flooded when multiple showers were running. Beds were comfortable and the kids (big and small) loved the game room.We enjoyed our stay in Lake Anna and would definitely return. We would love to visit again.

Upon arrival, the dishwasher was full of dirty dishes that we had to unload ourselves. Many coffee mugs and silverware were dirty and had to be washed before use. The upstairs master shower contained what appeared to be pubic hair, and the shower head was broken, spraying directly at the back wall. The second upstairs shower was clogged, and that bathroom had hair throughout the shower, countertop, floors, and toilet. The upstairs beds had sand or dirt on them before we put on clean sheets. The basement had a strong moldy odor with visible mold on the walls. The game room had standing water, and although maintenance arrived two hours late, the only action taken was leaving the garage door open, to air it out allowing insects inside. The water remained the next day, and there was mold and excessive spiders. The dock and walkway were very unsafe, with rotted, loose, and broken boards that feel like they could give out when stepping on them, including one with a hole completely through it. There are lots of exposed screws and wood filler instead of repairs. We did not feel safe allowing our family to use it. The beach area looked nothing like the listing photos, one of the main reasons we booked this property. The advertised grill was unusable because the ignition button was missing. The first aid kit contained only old gauze pads. Finally, exposed vinyl flooring at the top of the stairs caused my daughter-in-law to cut her foot, creating another serious safety hazard.

We’re sorry to hear that you were unhappy with your stay. We take guest concerns seriously and always want the opportunity to address any issues as quickly as possible. Our cleaners actually alerted us to the water issue in the game room, and we arranged for maintenance to stop by shortly after check-in to address it. Unfortunately, we were not made aware of the other concerns outlined in this review during the stay. We therefore did not have the opportunity to inspect or address those issues while you were at the property. Instead, we became aware of these additional concerns after checkout, when a refund was requested through VRBO. We make every effort to respond promptly when guests bring an issue to our attention. We understand that things can occasionally require attention in a vacation home, but we cannot correct problems we are not made aware of. Had the other concerns been reported to us during the stay, we would have done our best to investigate and resolve them promptly.

Overall, it was a good stay. Host was very responsive when contacted. The fire pit was nice, the hot tub was cloudy upon arrival, but the second day in the morning some guys came to shock it, it was minimally cloudy after that. The game room was nice; the joystick for pac man was sticking so it was a little disappointing. It could use a TV for sports while playing games. The HVAC system made the master bedroom on the main floor over compensated compared to the rest of the house whether AC or Heat was used, a balancing is needed. The well water smelled gross coming out of the shower and while brushing teeth tasted nasty; a filtration system is recommended. Wouldn't drink it if you paid me. Many of the screws heads were sticking out above the deck boards. Some deck boards were rotten, there were some loose deck boards that were replaced but not properly installed and were loose or screws heads sticking out the top. There were leaves all over the shoreline that were decaying, and smelled pretty bad. It made it difficult to access the water The Kayak was maximum weight of 150 pounds. perhaps a larger one, and vests. The key pad lock to the house didn't work, so we had to leave the door unlocked. The garage side deck light was rapidly flashing when turned on. It was great having access to the laundry, and plenty of beds, though the bunk bed kids said they were very springy. Great sunrises home dock, and sunsets from common area private lake side. Thanks for a Great time regardless

Lake weekend

We enjoyed our stay at Dream Catcher. The beach area is great and we made good use of the fire ring in the evenings. The game room was also a lot of fun. The hot tub is a nice addition and although it was dirty when we arrived, the host sent someone out right away to take care of it. The house and outside areas could use some upgrades. The deck needs repair and there were a good deal of cobwebs around. Inside, the fridge has some broken shelves and a drawer that was hard to close and should probably be replaced and moved to the game room so there would be a second fridge for beverages. The shower in the bathroom in the basement is very slippery and is sloped so it is a bit hazardous. Several of the doors throughout the home stick and are difficult to close. The kitchen needs more silverware and some of the pots and pans don’t have lids that fit. It would also be nice to have a set of wine glasses. There was an ant problem in the kitchen that needs to be addressed. Overall the home was spacious and comfortable and with a few updates would be great. The host was always very quick to respond to our questions. We loved the location and would definitely stay again despite minor issues.
