Historical researchers claim the cabin was constructed around the 1820s in the community on the east outskirts of Lexington. This was a cool place to stay for our family. It had the perfect amount of space for two adults and two children. It was clean and welcoming. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

Lovely cabin!

Dogs, husband and I had a great sleep in this charming cabin. Hot strong showers, comfy king size bed and plenty of kool antiques to peruse. Only nego was there were only flavored coffees for the Keurig. Yuck. For the price you can’t beat this place in the area. Thank you.

Wonderful cozy trip back in time

We had a super cozy and unique experience staying here at this cabin. We felt like it was a trip back in time. The beds were all so cozy and the location was perfect for us to visit the Ark and my sister and her family who live close by. We are thankful and when we come back to visit family we will stay here again. Thank you for the hospitality.

Dog cabin

Cut short due to storm that killed the power and blew the back door wide open, causing rain and water to come in the cabin while we were away shopping. Realize that the door was unable to lock and was never even closed at all. The deadbolt the front door does not even lineup and would not work. The grass on the property was at least a foot-long, driveway was basicly two grassy ruts. Almost got stuck, trying to get away from the property.

Really enjoyed all the old fashioned decor.

Had a nice relaxing time, even though there was a rain storm on Saturday evening. We ordered food in and watched an old movie. Visited a local spot for dinner Friday night and enjoyed it a lot.

A great vacation experience

Not many people can say they stayed in a historic cabin before and this was a fun experience. It is historic and gives you a taste of history, but with modern conveniences.

Perfect Hub

The location and size was perfect for our family of 4, weeklong vacation. We traveled to the Ark Encounter, the Horse Park, and to the Gorge Underground. Each was a day trip with a short drive. We returned each evening to a hot shower and a comfy bed. It was a unique stay with an older cabin and our kids loved it. Owners were quick to respond to issues. With so much to see around the Lexington area, we can see ourselves returning and staying here again.

Great Stay

This was a great Stay. Very clean. Great hot water. Neighbor's very friendly. Only downfall was the grass was never cut.

Perfect for Breyerfest!

We rented this house to visit Breyerfest and it worked out great! The property has a ton of charm and the commute to the horse park was easy! Not much to do in the immediate area, though. The house was comfortable and relaxing. Would definitely rent again!

Log Cabin

Very authentic 1820s log cabin. But updated with today’s technology. Love all the decor and amenities. Appreciate the brochures and information regarding the area and of the cabin. Amenities was great! Wonderful dishes, easy to clean pans and the coffee bar was a very nice addition! Only disappointment was the back porch/ yard area .. stone steps in back are a little wobbly and no close outdoor conversation area. There is a fire pit, but no outdoor grill. Owner was easy to reach for questions and requests. Overall, was a great stay

It was fun to stay in. The steps going into the bedrooms were a tricky though, but we got the hang of it. It was in the 90’s when we stayed in the cabin, the cooling system worked very well! Would recommend 100% but not for those who have trouble with steps or stepping into a bathtub.

Great spot in a quiet neighborhood

We had a great stay at the cabin, very easy to check in and prompt responses from the hosts. We loved the charm of the house, and proximity to everything we wanted to do in Lexington. We especially loved the book showing the restoration of the cabin. Definitely plan on coming back!

What a awesome house to stay in it was clean and quaint easy to get in easy parking and easy to find very small town some neighbors didn’t see any one, 2 gas stations close and a McDonald’s and Wendy’s, they had 2 welcome binder with information about the house with cool pictures and the other with things to do in the area which was nice cause we don’t know the area at all, I left a lower stars for communication only because we didn’t have any communication at all we didn’t need anything and everything was was great, only a couple minor concerns first is it’s not elderly friendly the 2 tub shower combos are adorable but high with no handles to assist in getting in and out this made it where my grandfather couldn’t shower we only stayed 1 night though also no handles or railings at the walls leading to the right and left upstairs bedrooms their were railings up to the 2 sets of stairs left and right so he could get that far but no further so he had to sleep downstairs adding more would definitely be a plus also we wish that the grass was cut it was pretty long and rained so wasn’t pleasant walking around the yard thanks again for a great stay and sharing this cool house we will be back

Wonderful Old Kentucky Home Getaway

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this charming restored home. The yard was spacious and the location definitely suited our needs traveling around Louisville, Lexington and the surrounding areas. Although we all piled up in the same room, the bed was comfortable and the cabin was nice and cool. Grateful for the nice kitchen and beautiful living room area. Would definitely recommend this place and would enjoy staying there again or in another property by the same host. Thank you so much!

Met our expectations as shown on the VRBO site. Spent the week visiting with friends, a day at Keenland, and of course a few distilleries.
