Located in a quiet South Lake Tahoe neighborhood near Washoe Meadows, you’ll be away from busy streets while still close to the lake, skiing, hiking, and everything Tahoe has to offer.

This property is exactly as advertised and worked perfectly for us as we were visiting family at Fallen Leaf Lake which is very close by. Communication with the owner was excellent - especially when we left an important item behind and needed to retrieve it.

Spacious, upscale home is about 15 minutes from the busy part of South Lake Tahoe. Kitchen is fully equipped should you wish to cook (we only used the microwave!). It's nice to walk around or sit on the wraparound deck to enjoy the cool mountain air.

Doug was an excellent host. Opened up communication with me the day after I booked and was quick to respond when I had a few questions. As far as the property was concerned, it was as advertised. Place was very clean and had alot more room than we needed. It was centrally located, so we were able to get to most locations within minutes. Overall, it was a great stay and would love to return with friends.

Great group cabin

House was wonderful! Just as described and pictured. Kitchen was really well stocked. Owner was very nice and communicative. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.

Beautiful Home!

We stayed here as 2 families, the set up was great having multiple master bedrooms. The yard was great for our toddlers to build their 1st snow man, and we had plenty of amenities inside. The steep marble stairs are my only complaint having small kids, made me a little nervous but they did fine. Would definitely come back!

Great House and Great Location

We are just 3 older guys who all wanted our own room and bathroom so this house was perfect (even though it would hold many more people comfortably). We like to hike so the location was great for many of the best hikes. A Raleys store is only 5 minutes away along with many good restaurants. Communication with owner was great and he fixed a minor problem within an hour. The house is newer so everything is relatively modern. We also enjoyed the recreation room and had a pool tournament! We would stay again for sure.

Our stay at Castle-Cabin was a wonderful visit to the mountains. The home is spacious and comfortable and very well outfitted, especially in the kitchen where we had everything we needed. Very modern and easy to use appliances and great refrigerator space. The home would be great for multiple generations, with space designed for younger children and lots of bed space for the adults. There's great play space on the bottom floor and a backyard and great deck to "hang out" too. The laundry room also has everything you need after a dusty hike. The host was amazing -- the communications up front upon reservation were clear and helpful, and as we arrived at our travel day it was timely and detailed and helped us get in easily. We had a little snafu on the back end of our trip and the host could not have been more helpful in resolving it. He was caring and communicative throughout.The location was perfect for us; it was only minutes to the shore of Fallen Leaf Lake and a quick run into South Lake Tahoe if needed. It's also very accessible from Hwy 50 and you can get there quickly without hitting Tahoe traffic. It's also got great access to Angora Lake and Desolation Wilderness. We will come back any time we can, and hope to bring more family with us on the next trip.
