We stayed here for spring break with 3 kids 7,7,9 and 4 Adults. The pool was a big hit with the kids! The house was very clean, spacious and had everything we needed in the kitchen. It was just a short drive (3mins) to the beach. You can buy a beach pass right at the entrance of the beach. The host was accommodating when I had a question. I would definitely come back!

It’s great to hear the home was clean, spacious, and had everything you needed in the kitchen. Being just a quick drive to the beach definitely makes those beach days easy, too! The living area needs new furniture. It was pretty gross- we did not want to sit on it. The mattresses on the bottom bunks were terrible- springs were poking in the sleepers backs. There was no spatula to even flip a pancake. We tried cooking several meals in our room since we had a one year old and the pots and pans were terrible. If you are staying more than 3 days take extra TP- we ran out the last day.Pluses: Location, pools & splashpad were great, check in & check out was easy. Probably will not stay here again, but our family of 7 had a nice time.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're glad to hear your family enjoyed the location, pools, splash pad, and that check-in and check-out were easy. We're sorry to hear some aspects of the home didn't meet your expectations. None of these concerns were reported during your stay, and we would have loved the opportunity to help. Had we been notified about the cookware or missing spatula, we would have happily brought additional kitchen items for you. We also appreciate your comments about the living room furniture and bunk bed mattresses, and we'll be sure to share those with our team for review. Regarding the toilet paper, we provide a starter pack of essentials to help guests get by until they have an opportunity to shop. Thank you again for your feedback, and we appreciate you choosing Padre Escapes for your family getaway.

Clean place, but needs more kitchen supplies

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall the home was well kept and clean. The Best at Bahama Mama

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We just returned from a week's stay and loved the Bahama Mama.... very spacious, modern, comfortable beds, clean, accommodating kitchen, smart TVs in every room, supreme AC and a decent size side-yard. A pool is on site with a nice neighboring clubhouse and the beach is an easy stroll. Also nice that it's an end unit. A half day road trip and you're there-- check it out if you're looking for an easy getaway!

New Location and still Poor Cleaning

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was somewhat unhappy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: They moved us to this location because the last one the roof was leaking. The floor and blood spots and the cleaning was poor. Padre Escapes has never been this poor on cleaning but in a year they went downhill. The location wasn't like the original I booked and paid for. This looks to be my last stay with Padre Escapes after being a long time customer.

Thank you for your response and feedback, Nick. We apologize that you felt there was an issue with cleanliness during your stay. Housekeeping can be a tough job, and we all make mistakes from time to time; though our inspectors almost always catch this type of issue prior to arrival. Unfortunately, they must’ve missed it this time. We will address it with the appropriate teammates to ensure that this issue does not persist going forward. We hope to welcome you back again and we thank you for choosing Padre Escapes.

Mustang Island getaway

Overall the accommodations were great. Very clean and accessible for all members of our family which included teens, adults, and 82 year old senior. The first floor bedroom with walk-in shower was perfect for our senior. Our only issue was the doorknob to the back door came off in my hand when I was trying to shut the door. I sent a message but there was a delay in response. I was told that someone would contact me that afternoon about fixing the knob but I did not receive a call. It really was not a huge deal because we were able to secure it. The only other thing that I would mention is the bed in the room in which I was staying was extremely soft and not very comfortable. Some folks may enjoy a soft mattress so some might not mind that. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend our accommodations.
