Fantastic home, fantastic host, beautiful stretch of beach and a nice size pool! Beds were comfortable, kitchen was well stocked, great amount of beach chairs and toys. Open/ huge layout of the main floor was perfect for our group! Thrilled with our stay!

Jim was a great host — both before and after we booked our stay. He answered questions promptly and honestly and was responsive during our stay. The house was terrific. Was spacious, clean, and well maintained. Furniture and beds were very comfortable as well.The pool was excellent and access to the beach w very easy!Highly recommend Jim and this property!

Our stay at the OdySea was great!! The home was even better than the pictures. It was well-appointed and clean. Perfect for a large group. Great spot on the beach. Jim was easy to work with as well!

The house was amazing for our large family. Just a few minor issues, but Jim was very responsive and attentive. We had a great time and can’t wait to come back!

We enjoyed our family vacation with our children and grandchildren. The home floor plan worked well for us. We loved the ocean front wilth beautiful beach and the pool was well used. The location was quiet and close to grocery stores. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking and serving items. We enjoyed the new barbecue grill. We did have to purcahse bottled water for drinking. The beds were comfortable and linen was provided.Communication with Jim Kitts was outstanding. He is a great host meeting all of our needs. We would stay again.

OdySea Stay

The stay was perfect. We hosted a family weekend at the OdySea in Carolina Beach. The property is amazing in a great location. The property was clean and in extremely good condition

Great house.

Excellent house, very accurate description and great location. Host made checking in/out flawless and I would highly recommend this property. Looking forward to booking again!

Beach Week Best

Excellent rental for a big, multi-generational family. Location was great, house is large and well appointed, and Jim is an accommodating and very responsive host. “Best Beach Week Ever” was heard more than once!! Many thanks for a great time.

Family trip

Had a great time. House was extremely clean. The owner supplied extra dish soap, laundry soap, hand soap, etc. The pool was clean and very relaxing.

We had a great time the house was comfortable, the kitchen was well appointed, the pool was great, and the ocean was handy. The sliding glass door in the living room slides very hard but else it was great!

Club excursion spring 2025

Stayed for a weekend with a large group and it was excellent. The owner communicated efficiently about any questions we had in advance and gave a detailed payment plan. The house amenities are exactly as listed and the property comfortably handles large groups.

Our family of seven loved staying at this wonderful home! The pool was refreshing. The beach is just steps away from the home. The house was beautifully furnished. The views of the ocean from the beach were spectacular. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking family meals. Communication from our hosts was prompt and helpful. We will happily return next year!

Both the house and the host were top notch, I don’t think I’ve had a better VRBO experience than here. The house was clean, perfectly appointed, and comfortable. The location was amazing; easy access to the beach and town, and the pool was perfect to balance the beach. The owner offered helpful local suggestions, including a half day fishing charter and golf cart rentals that made it easy for us to book through. The owner was incredibly responsive and clearly cared that we enjoyed the property. Thank you Jim!

Odyssey is wonderful. This was our fourth year staying there. Fantastic waterfront location. Great floor plan. Elevator helps with moving in and out plus helpful for elderly family members. Super clean.. Well stocked.. Bright and cheery. owner lives close by just in case you need something. We plan on returning next year. This place is hard to beat.

AMAZING!!!

This house is absolutely beautiful and the views from he patios are breathtaking. This was our 4th Annual Company Retreat and we all agreed this home was by far our favorite. The rooms are spacious and lovely. Jim with the rental company was extremely accommodating and a pleasure to deal with. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Great place

all concerns were addressed promptly. We arrived early and after the place was cleaned we were able to go in. Just about 45 minutes early. This was a big plus for us.

I can’t say enough good things about this property and Jim, the how! He was so responsive and helpful no matter what the question. He was extremely flexible with check-in and check-out times and I’m confident in saying communication with him was the best I’ve ever experienced from a host!The property itself was absolutely stunning and comfortable and clean. Everything worked (elevator, washing machines, showers). It was the best - I absolutely recommend to everyone! Some tips to future renters: it’s not walkable into the main strip of Carolina Beach- so consider a golf cart or car rental. Ubers/lyfts were sometimes a 20-30min wait so also factor that in if you need to be anywhere! Bring your own beach towel if you want to spend time on the sand!Thank you Jim for a fabulous stay:)

2nd Annual Thanksgiving Family Trip

The property was beautiful! It was exactly as described. We had 13 adults and 1 child (5 y.o.) in our group. There was more than enough space for us to hang out all together and also for us to break away for solitude when needed. The kitchen was AMAZING! Plenty of space, double ovens, a Kuerig and drip coffee maker were both available. The home had every amenity a family would need - games, beach chairs, books, TV, and internet. Mu husband enjoyed surf fishing, and the family enjoyed walks on the beach. Jim is always an amazing host. He checks in through out the stay to see if anything is needed - which is always a no from us as he ensures that his properties are well stocked.

This is a great property & one of our family’s favorites so far. A perfect location with great views and easy beach access. The property has a very nice pool, although it was not available on our first day because of an apparent power outage the week before. However, this was remedied immediately after talking to Jim and we were able to use the beautiful pool all week. We would’ve given it five stars, except there was an issue with the water. Our clothes and towels were left with an orange stain after laundering. Also, the toilets were stained with the orange residue. Not sure if this is due to the water issue the week before or if this is something that is always an issue. We would definitely stay here again providing this issue is resolved.

Thank you Robyn and I’m so glad yall had a great time!! Yes, we had a power outage causing us to lose the pool pump for a day, resulting in a cloudy pool. I’m glad we were able to get it resolved quickly. This is the first I’ve heard of a water issue and clothes being turned orange. However, I’m gonna look in to it!! Thanks for mentioning this and I wish I had known you had this issue before reading it here. Regardless, I hope you will consider a return visit. Jim
